As long as one lives under the roof of another man's house, weather he pays for rent or not, the Landlord still had controll of the activities concerning the house... You donot expect to rent a flat and throw parties every night without d landlord interfering. So in this case, The chief has been warned but stubbornly didnt give in to pay his rent... He was thrown out... No lele! End of discussion... The landlord should nt be held responsible for anything... This kindda thing happens alot in my area... They will even throw ur property outside when itz raining... They dnt care if ur tv gets spoilt. To before warn is to before harm... Abi no be so dem talk am?

@Lawyer what do you have to say to this? My Elder Brother got a rented apartment 3years ago and the agreement with the Landlord was a total refurbish of the house even after paying the rent cos the house lacks alot of things...infact he literally invested alot to upgrade it to what it is now.The house lacks decent plumbing,wiring,tiles etc.only for the landlord to serve him a one month quit notice followed by a writ of summons to court that he wants his house back when the amount is yet to be expired! He lied that the agreement is no longer valid cos he did not put hand in paper! My bro on the other hand has been saving all the receipts and the witnesses are on hand...Can he still win the case?

KwoiZabo: ASUU is cheating on other sectors of the economy. They claim they want to make the Universities compete with their counterparts in the rest of the world but i want to ask ASUU is our Public Infrastructure, Police (security), power supply, Healthcare, and even primary and secondary education (which i consider more important than university education) competing with the rest of the world? We cannot grow our universities at the expense of other sectors, all sectors must grow together and I know since the inception of this Administration, tertiary education has received more than a fair share of the Nation's resources. I'm a young guy of 26, sponsorin myself for Msc in uniben, I used my hard earned money to rent a self contain in benin, around january dis year, wit d hope to round up my course work by october and leave d apartment, cos I can start doin project frm delta where I reside. But now una don waste my rent, my landlord is waitin for anoda 1year rentage frm me. So annoyin.
