How disappionting!! One is not impressed colins(don jazzy)!! |
What ? No matter how broke i can get i'll never be down to that amount talk less of an oil producing state...i find this hard to belive but anything in possible in nigeria. In the mist of all these theft all the nigerian national assembly things of is presecuting gays. Hey what the heck. We are a "moral nation". |
How clumsy!! Thank God nothing happened to that cute baby!!...ohhh when will i have mine? ;DHow clumsy!! Thank God nothing happened to that cute baby!!...ohhh when will i have mine? |
I am not gay but i belive in human freedom and liberty and This thread has really exposed the shallowness of many people here. I am saddened at the thinking faculty of most people here and even nigerians. So when i see people hailing the national assembly because they passed a anti-gay law which does not have anything to do with our national growth. When i see such backwardness and primitivity i am skeptical of a future for the poor nation. I'm done with this thread. |
My uncle married at the age of 22 and his wife was 19 but today they've been married for 40 years. I think it depends on mindset, intellectual maturity and of course most importantly "true love". |
David mark says nigeria is too moral to allow same sex couples exist...but he has a collegue in the senate called ahmed yerima in his 60's who marries 13 years old girls. And moral david mark does'nt condem it or propose legislation banning such utter child abuse. So adults who decide to be gay are sent to jail while kids who are forced to be baby wives are left to suffer their fate. Nothing happens to the husbands. MORAL NIGERIA!!! |
Albert708: If you are current you know that Nigeria constitution is against child abuse and that senate is in trouble... Just as the way majority of nigerias condem the act so also we are saying we don't want gay.... Sir i think you need help you can send me ur email so that i can pray with you...i have seen many gay that come to SCOAN TB Joshua church for deliverance. And many of them are happily married to the opposit sex today.... If you want my help send me ur email address for how you will visit the church....not only you even your gay mate.you seem exceedinly foolish..why is'nt their outrage at what does little girls are suffering? You and your stupid bunch worry yourselves about "adults" who are gay. But you turn a blind eye to kids being married away to men their grandpa's age. Where is the outrage? Were is the concern. I taught nigeria was this great "moral" country. Has your so called t.b joshua said anything about this? No rather he's playing suit sayer and acting out a shambolic t.v drama called emmanuel t.v in the name of miracles. Pathetic. I'm not gay, but i belive people have the right to live as they deem fit. |
klax: Mr or Bro go for a deliverance I guess you need it very much. So in your own word you think you are saying senses isnitas stupid as your cimment is, i'm still willing to respond. You claim being gay is far worse than corruption? Yeah because it's because of gay people are dying on bad roads, it's because of gay there's no power in nigeria, it's because of gay we have one of the most impoverished population on earth. It's because of gay every child is not in school. It's almost commical listening to you fools saying nigerians are too moral to let condesending "adults" be gay but you turn a blind eye to old men marrying small girls in the north. Just imagine a 12 years old kid marrying a 50 years old man and entering his bed. This country is hilarious. |
Albert708: can't you see that you are in big trouble if you are moraly upright you will not be talken like this...i pray for God to help you... Nigeria have so many problem already.. And you are encouragen more to come... God help human race.. We are in trouble.i don't need to prove my "moral uprightness" to you. But i'll ask you a simple question. Why did'nt the senate do anything when ahmed yerima a senator married a 13 years old child. Why are kids being married away as early as 10,11 in the north? Just imagine a little girl of that age being forced into bed with her a man the age of her grandfather. Why is there no law against that pure "child abuse". |
Albert708: Advice to you, if you are a gay please go to tb Joshua church for deliverance...... The corruption of our senate have nothing to do with this.. Majority of Nigerians do not want gay right period...this is pure democracy, if american, british and other nations want it good for them... But the Nigeria public simply say they don't want gay right..full stop.i'm not gay but i support people right to "live their lives" and i ask you mr deliverance, before this bill..were gays seeking recognition or right to marry? Or anything? This bill is like a shinny object to attack the attention of all you babies. And it's working cause i can't belive the amount of defence one of the most corrupt legislative body on earth is getting. |
danny301: The senate president is not stupid rather you are the one who is not stupid but also foolish.... It's obvious u have not clue what anti-corruption bill means.... if there were no anti-corruption bills how did efcc and other anti-corruption agencies came to be?.... It's not the duty of the senate president or the national assembly to go about arresting and prosecuting corrupt people... The legislature only makes laws but does not implement them or punish law-breakers and the last time i checked Nigeria problem was not lack of laws but lack of implementation of laws and will to punish law-breakers..... and as for the law prohibiting gay practice in Nigeria it has come to stay and if you cannot live with it back your loads and move to US or UK where your fellow gays practice their sodomy without restriction.your stupidty is outstanding!! How many years maximum is stipulated in the nigerian constitution for corrupt politician? Were is the p.i.b bill? Why are members of the national assemble earning salaries that dwarf every western leader? Why is farouk lawan still a "honorable" member of the house? I can go on forever and it is outstanding that in the face of all this challenges and more all your dumb brain thinks of i anti-gay bills. I guess that is the solution to all our problems in this country. Horrid human being. |

as brainless as your comment was i'll grant you a response..i am not gay but i belive no government has the right to dictate how people live their lives..the nigerian government, a den of thiefs and cronic cleptomaniacs have no right to decided what is "bad morals" or not. If you think being gay is bad. Good then mind your buisness and let those gays sort out themselves with their creator. |
"office of the first lady" is that even recognised by the constitution. Hmmm..overzealous first ladies really need to be dealt with. They should stick to charity works and developmental projects . They elected your husband not you. |
Could'nt she have been granted a leave of sorts? Afterall the office of deputy governour is'nt that salient. Well i respect her decision all the same...wishing madarm deputy governour a safe and quick recovery. |
This is stupid. Nobody cares about what nigeria does with gays afterall they are not seeking any recognition. The fools in the national assemble should stop this nonesense and make law that help the nigerian people!! The stupid senate president says being gay is not a good moral. Apparently stealing public funds and corruption is a good moral that's why there is no single anti-corruption bill in this country.. And that why i said if you want to to see nigeria's problem buy a mirror. Most people here are hailing those thieves for passing a bill sentencing people who has never done any wrong to you to 14 years in prison. But no single law for themselves and cronies who has looted the living day light out of this nation..i am disgusted!!! |
The poster made a blunder by saying " a flyover under construction in port harcourt suddenly crashed". Actually mr poster that airforce flyover but build by the odili government. Years before ameachi's government now that it crashed thankfully with no lives lost, it is being looked at firmly considering to reenforce it better or even rebuild. Get your facts right. |
As tragic as this is i must say the police man does'nt deserve to be arrested. He defended himself against a possible attack by the cultist. This should encourage the authorities to be able to provide gadgets like tassers, stun guns, pepper spray and other 21st century policing items. I empatize with the farmily of the dead. |

One is not impressed at such frevolous infinitesimalities on nairaland frontpage. |
I do hope futher investigations are made into this guy's death. The "sucide" does'nt fly with many people..and i just wish the nigerian embassy over there follow this up cause many nigerian overseas embassies are useless. It's like they don't know their job. |
Recycling wives...meaning your husband is dead does'nt mean their are'nt others for you. |
As anti-fashola as i am, i don't see anything wrong in averting disaster and saving lives. My only concern is the relocation of the residence. |
In as much as our roads are'nt all good. Bad roads should'nt be what comes to your mind whenever an accidence occurs. There is also a very poor driving attitude amongs some drivers. The government should pay more attention to who is issued a drivers linsence. There should be exams, and test drives. And a national database for drivers. It's important. My taughts and prayers are with the farmilies of the dead. |
Better stick you your native london!! Paris is full of jobless and hungry people due to the euro crisis. Get well soon. |
The pr manager of this so called "arewas group" needs to be flogged. When you use words like this and make it seem you wanna bully jonathan. You turn 2015 from being a referendum on jonathan's policies to a north and south fist fight. Even those in the south who are quite disappionted in jonathan and won't mind a change will start supporting him again because they feen threatened. So these bunch better rethink their strategy. |
I'm an icredibly optimistic person..but as beautifull as all these look our major problem remains power. It is what this country needs. When it's available foreign investors will flood in and invest. Just get that power, enough with the expensive dams, we have so much energy to run on. Coal and gas especially which is abundant in the south. Just power nigeria and the rest will follow. |
I once saw something like this on al jazeera, it happens in kano state and it's a means of preventing divorces which is a common occurence over there. In which government hold mass weddings for couples, give them goodies and the women money to start buisness, in return only the government can approve your divorce and the woman will be protected in the case of widowhood.it's voluntary. I found it facinating... |
This brings back grim memories, some time ago i was in the gym and a guy who has been running on the tredmill for quite sometime slumped and die...it's really tragic. Everything including exercise must be done in moderation. |
