taryour: This thread is funny and makes me remember my experience with flood while I was still single and living in gwagwalada in abuja. I woke up 2am on a soaked mattress and rug,my books all soaked and there was no light. When it downed on me of what's happening,the rain was so heavy outside and everywhere was black out. The first thing I grabbed and saved was the plantain I had bought the previous night for my brkfast the next day with eggs. Then I went into my toilet and climbed on my toilet sit and started screaming for my neighbour to help me,obviously my voice was faint in the fall of the heavy rain. Next I started sending text messages to every contact on my phone "help,I am in trouble". I couldn't get down from the toilet sit cause I was scared to death,dint even have courage to open the door for fear of more flood coming in. It was not until after. Like 40 - 50min when my neighbour came to rescue me on out way out of my room I remembered my bag of credentials and my atm cards. Luckily for me it was just at d top most part of my wardrobe as all my cloths where already soaked.to make matters worse I heard the kanji dam was also open added to the rain wasn't funny at all.lots of helpless animals died and people drowned as well.

A family man living close by with 4kids and wife was so dis organised I heard the first thing he saved was omorogun(that wooden spoon used in making eba/garri) it was when his wife bite him with so much energy and a sounding slap he knew he had to save his kids.luckily to the glory of God they where saved.


So dear op,at that moment only God can direct someone to save the right thing.
