jnrbayano: I have a question please.
Matt 11:11 (NKJV)
“Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.”
I can't quite rap my head around the above verse. Sorry o bros, titoetal's post just brought back my attention to this. John was more than a prophet says Jesus, he explained that he was more than that, in the sense that he was the closest to His time. That is, John was the last prophet before him. Often times, the closest of the servants to a king are highly respected among all others. I believe he was still talking with respect to the prophets ish when he said the above. With regards to "who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he", It sure looks like he was revealing himself to the people, the people who thought of him as younger in age...or lower in esteem, since they regard him "a drunkard and a glutton", that he is greater than john, not in comparison, but in the sense that He is the Lord as spoken of in Malachy 3:1. I also see it in the light of titoetal's expose that he who is in heaven is greater than all earthly glory. |

italo: Babestell, don't mind all these story mongers.
Something happened on Youth Harvest day, two Sundays ago.
I spotted someone in ACSHL polo shirt with "babestell" at the back. You need to see how my eyes lit up and my heart beat faster.
All I thought about was to walk up to you, tap you from behind, shine my 32 teeth and spend a good number of seconds in your warm embrace (and you know you've got what can make a brother wanna rest in that hug)....
Then I walked closer, only to find that it wasn't you wearing the shirt.
Why did you play that trick on me?
*all of una wey spread mat...make una dey observe siesta go o. Now that is in Diana Ross voice by italo *...you are everything, everything is you...* Babestell where you run go? |

Ubenedictus: it wasn't always peter's position, anyone who read the book of act will see that he had a change in belief, by the time of the council he was ready to bear witness to the universality of the new covenant.
The ordinary synod will still be on the family, i think they touched the title a little, but some of the topics discussed in this past synod will be rediscussed in the next one. The bold is why I asked, you don't expect him to take a stand in a matter still ongoing, which he is enjoying the debate, taking notes and praying for the guidance of the Holy Spirit. |

Syncan: Thanks SalC. I am interested, but if you wouldn't mind, as first to comment, could you book me for the 27th? Today I celebrate an important anniversary of God's goodness to me. I pray the Lord to meet you all at the point of needs in your lives. Believe me it's been great meeting you all, your fraternal love have broken all boundaries, radiating through space, making nonsense of anonymity, to keep me warm. may God be praised in your lives always. May we all take up today's first reading--- Ephesians 4:32--5:8, the message is sublime and fitting for our family. God bless you all and look favorably on our petitions. |

Ubenedictus: actually peter assumed exactly that position. After the judaizer started the arguement and paul gave his testimony, the scriptures record, and peter stood up and everyone was quite, he then calmly put down his teachings basing on the Old testament and his personal experience. He made his position known and the debate in the synod came to an end as James wrapped everything up. Here we have a synod where they say peter refused to speak.
Peter didn't just accept the position of the synod, he allowed the holyspirit to use him in teach all present. Imagine what will it look like if as the arguement raged on peter simply sat and played referee who had no position in the matter. It's interesting how you make it look like that was always Peter's position. Meanwhile, What is the topic of the synod holding next year? |

Ubenedictus: yeah, yeah, yeah, i told that to somebody. Pope aren't watchmen at synods, they are listening teacher. A silent pope in a synod full of liberal bishop has a powerful recipe for confusion in the church. Hmm...danger, If Peter assumed this Position, he would have made a mistake in Acts 15. He rather allowed the Holy Spirit talk through the synod, and submitted to her position. |

Ubenedictus: the pope is a watchman in his own synod? You know how funny that sounds right? Yes na, It's a synod, he is not writing an encyclical. |
