Bro, talk wetin you know o. If God says that Jesus is God, I wonder why we still ask? In Heb 1:8, God said to Jesus : "Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever. You rule with a scepter of justice.

Perhaps you are a catholic by chance and just a mere follower, knowing absolutely nothing about your religion and the vatican. There are so many others like that too who have been taught only to refute even informations coming from the CC. Lodge into this Site and then get convinced.Perhaps you may consider asking Benedict and others exactly what they are saying.

Like Italo said, you're attracted to falsehood and it's blinding you. Just like your ignorant and proud blogger in that link, despite the Pope's explanations, you seem to miss a basic truth that is common in Christendom; that Jesus was talking about the end of the world and not end of time . They are different, something you should have known, only if you had a little truth in you to set you free. Of all the people you want to mess with concerning theology, you chose Pope Benedict XVI? Smh.

Edited.

italo:
Acts 2:42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching (doctrine) and fellowship, to the breaking of bread (religious practice) and the prayers.

Obviously, you are not a part of the Church of the apostles.

It is safe to call you a false teacher. No?

Cc PastorAIO

Other verses:

Titus 2:1 But as for you, teach what is consistent with sound doctrine

2 John 1:9 Everyone who does not abide in the teaching of Christ, but goes beyond it, does not have God; whoever abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. 10 Do not receive into the house or welcome anyone who comes to you and does not bring this teaching;

Then read Acts 15 to see how seriously the early Church took disputes in doctrine.
It really baffles me how "bible alone" institutions don't even know the bible. SMH. 1Tim 6:4-5 comes to mind....

"he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, useless wranglings[a] of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself"

bro Jnrbayano, antie Ify124, nwa ada peppyluv02, abeg everybody come see something o. In the vatican is a museum dedicated to the holy souls, many pilgrims miss this, i am sure babestell must have missed it too, ehm...i dont know about kamsified, the pope's secretary.

"In another exhibit, you can see the mark left on the copy of The Imitation of Christ that
belonged to Margherite Demmerlé of Ellinghen Parish in the Diocese of Metz by her mother in-law. She appeared to Margherite in 1815, 30 years after her death in 1785, dressed as a pilgrim in the region’s traditional dress. She was coming down the stairs with a sad face,as if she were looking for something Margherite told her parish priest. When Margherite asked her who she was, she answered, “I am your mother-in-law who died in childbirth 30 years ago. Go on a pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Mariental and have two Masses said for me there.”
When Marguerite asked her for a sign, she put
her hand on the copy of The Imitation of Christ
her daughter-in-law was reading and left burn
marks of her fingers. After Marguerite made the pilgrimage and the Masses were said, she
appeared to her again to tell her that she had
been released from Purgatory. This was all
documented by her parish priest."

Offer up now your prayers, works, joys and sufferings of today for the relief of the holy souls.

Eternal rest grant them o Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them, may they rest in peace, amen.

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.--- Matthew 16:18

Today's Gospel reading. Is it possible for people who were not attending the catholic church while alive to make heaven at death? Yes...Like some non catholic clients of debbie, Like SalC's nice moslim friend, like some honest pagan brethren of striktlymi, like that atheist admirer of babestell, Lol.

If it is unimaginable, that good people who (by no fault of theirs); don't know and believe in the whole true teaching, will go to hell just for that sake, then how do these people get into heaven, without believing in some truth eg,...unless you are born of the water and spirit..., how will they go in there, where all beliefs will be homogenous.

The only feasible solution which is supported by scripture is that there is a state when we leave this earth in death, in which some wrongs are righted (1Cor3:15), some knowledge learned (1Pet3:18). That state in which a soul is completely prepared for heaven, a state of purification, of purging, is called "Purgatory" by the church.

“I was present when God passed sentence on notorious sinners. Great is His justice, but still more inconceivable is His mercy. He damns only those who are determined not to be converted; they who have a spark of good will are saved... I have seen in Purgatory Protestants who were pious in their ignorance; they are very desolate, for no prayers are offered for them... I saw that by our prayer and suffering, many a soul who labours
not during life, can be converted and saved at the hour of death.”
'The Life and Revelations of Anne Catherine Emmerich':

Pls pray for the souls in purgatory today, the church prays for them this november. Eternal rest grant them o lord, let perpetual light shine upon them.....

Good morning brethren, a splendid day to all.

SalC:
On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” John 7:37-38

Aren't we thirsty still of God's life giving water? The moment the samaritan woman discovered the truth of this life giving water, she BEGGED Jesus to give this water to her that she will be thirsty no more. Yet here Jesus himself offers us this without restrictions, all we need do is walk up to him in faith and DRINK.

He who called and offered to us this is faithful enough to satisfy us if we humbly come to him. Our thirst may differ as some of us thirst and hunger for a greater faith, some thirst and hunger for righteousness, some thirst to know God the more, some thirst to commune better with him, some thirst for more material blessings, the thirst is endless.....,but the Good news is JESUS IS ABUNDANTLY ABLE TO SATISFY US ALL.

All we need do is "COME"......Just take a step with faith...

Good morning brethren and do have a fulfilled day ahead smiley

Jesus said to his disciples, ‘I tell you this: use money, tainted as it is, to win you friends, and thus make sure that when it fails you, they will welcome you into the tents of eternity. --Lk16:9

From today's gospel. Hmm...the friends Titoetal wins with money, will welcome him into the tent of eternity. Come o, if these friends are the people we aid here, what guarantee is there that they themselves will make heaven? Ehm...well, do good anyway, you never know....However, helping the souls in purgatory is like "sure banker", woky you understand na. They must eventually end up there, so lightening their burden and quickening their release surely gets you friends; who will welcome you into tents of eternity.

This november, dedicated to the holy souls; With your money, book masses for them. With your money, do charity and offer the merits for the holy souls. With your money, support groups dedicated to praying for the holy souls. You will surely have friends to welcome you into the tents of eternity.

Eternal rest grant them o Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace, amen.

Good day brethren, a splendid day ahead to all.
Christianity EtcRe: A Thread For Catholics by Syncan(m):
Let us go rejoicing to the house of the Lord ---psalm 122:1

Today's responsorial psalm got me thinking...how wonderful the joy of a soul that has been cleared for heaven. Consider what it means to a deacon, after being delayed for some years, was told he will be ordained a priest finally, some priests have been known to shed tears of joy. Or could you imagine with what joy, a woman who has waited to get pregnant for some years, receive the news of her pregnancy, shedding tears of joy and praising God loudly there and then is a common feature. There is excitement when we achieve what we aim for.

If one is not a saddist, there is a kind of fulfilment that makes you sleep satisfied, when you become instrumental to another's happiness. You can ask Italo and the vincentians.... hahaha, you may not know, I went to sleep in such manner when I heard the news of Salc's surgery, damerry's exams, babestell's interview, Mariagorreti's new job and others, because I prayed for them all, in company of you.

Even much greater is the excitement when a soul is on his/her way to heaven, so even much satisfying it is to know you've given a helping hand. God's people of old knew this, for they said "it is a holy and wholesome thought to pray for the dead, that they may be loosened of their sin"---2Macc12:46. Did they not go to the extent of receiving baptism on behalf of the dead----1Cor 15:29 ? Holy charity! The church did guide this charity of theirs when St. John directed them on who to pray for---1Jn5:16, and when the church abandoned the practice of baptizing on behalf of the dead.

Is there a relative or aquaintance of yours who is gone, would you have loved to see him/her happy in heaven? There's a chance for you, pray, book/attend masses, offer fasts, difficulties, injuries borne graciously, etc, for the repose of their souls, this is the month of november, the church prays for the souls in purgatory. Join in this praiseworthy practice, a fulfilment of the communion of saints....This is our faith.

Good morning brethren, a splendid day ahead to all.

The good man smiley. I had wanted to ask or rather I want to know the origin of the idea of going in and out of the chapel during prayers on all soul's day?
Do not call anyone good...

The origin I do not know. However it most likely was borne out of pious devotion. Knowing that visit to the chapel and praying there carries a partial indulgence each time its done. It's quite likely that the faithful (encouraged by sacred tradition) makes it a point of duty, out of charity, to gain as much indulgences as possible by making many visits. On all souls day, as, a matter of fact, from 1st to 8th november, the church grants a plenary indulgence applicable only to the holy souls for this same act. So out of holy charity for the souls, the faithful may appeal by that act, that each going in;praying and going out, signify one visit, and carries its full dose of indulgence. Who knows...the lord who searches the heart deals with us in line with our intentions.
