chuose2:And where in my post did I inferred that Zik rigged TB into office? All i wrote was that zik , a whole US -trained Professor would rather aligned with a level II teacher simply for the benefit of his ibo people even as he persisted in parroting the One Nigeria slogan that even he doesn't believe in The truth and irony of our predicament is that Fulanis have been dealing with the rest of us since 1960 and with the way things are currently going on, they are not about to stop sodomising us any moment soon.. |
chuose2:Op, trust is a two-way street. Do you really believe that we yorubas trust you ibos after what zik did to us in the 1st republic by choosing to be Tafawa Balewa's bagboy just so his people can dominate us in our own region? Maybe, you guys thought we didn't notice the rationale behind Zik's decision to align with the north-the same people that have been killing his people since 1945. Just 'cause we don't wear our emotions like you guys does not mean we are stupid, rather we recognised and appreciate the fact that you guys don't owe us anything and hence will follow where you believe your interests are best served. That's why we refrained from calling you guy, fulani slaves. |
joeokoriem:Am truly sorry to burst your bubble but Nigeria has never been One right from her inception. It's not One extantly and will never be One ( considering the amount of water that has since passed under her bridge) even if we continue like this for another century The sooner we stop perambulating and smell the blasted coffee, the better for our unborn generations. As for restructuring-forget it. The north will never relinquish her vice-like grip on the centre without an almighty jihad/war. |
He was also a gun runner for the federal troops during the biafran nay oil war. |
neezar:Am yoruba and do look forward to the day when Biafra will be actualised but i ain't holding my breath nor willing to place my precious and valued neck on the block for biafra. |
kernel507:Most (circa 90%) ibos hate yorubas but still insist on living in their homeland. Even after getting your biafra, ibos will still need to migrate to yorubaland to make a reasonable level of living which is not obtainable in their region. During the last biafra war of 1967-1970, there were many ibos that stayed behind in lagos and ibadan, mainly. The ones in lagos came to rejoice after Ojukwu's planes had dropped bombs in Ebute metta -lagos , populated by yorubas. Yet there ostensible fight was with the hausa/fulanis who slaughtered them like 'roaches in the northern region after ibos had gone and kill their political and spiritual leader- the sardunna. |
plessis:I guess you are free to call us whatever you like however when we respond in our "sophisticated" manner, you are the same person that will start shouting to the international organisations that the yorubas hate you . Oh well, continue in your self-destructive mood and we all shall soon see the end game. Suffice to say, You ibos hate us as much as we loath you. |
Deputy1111:@ bolded.................This is the crux of our problem with the ibos. Meanwhile, they wouldn't try such with the northerners who are just willing to take off their heads whenever the mood takes them. Even before we got independence, ibos were surreptitiously plotting to dominate yorubaland by wanting to be premier. |
DrGoodman:.........and 3million ibos were sent to an early grave whilst your warlord did a "Ben Johnson" to safety |
DrGoodman:And in the process you all got some sense slapped into you. |
DrGoodman:Which election did Zik won in yorubaland? You mischevious folk never tire of regurgitating the same fallacious tale your myopic elders told you. If i ask you for proof of your asertion, i know you have none but will rather start bleating like a cow infected with GGD. |
HiddenShadow:Yeah right. So, yorubas should have stood akimbo when you brought your stupid war with your erswhile male sexual partner to her region. Very smart move.............indeed! |
DrGoodman:Simply, their instinctive greed and covetousness which unfortunately, the yorubas weren't ready to tolerate. |
manpablo:For crying out loud, you guys just can't help exhibiting your ingrained impish trait, can you now? So who allied with the fulani oligarchy in the 1st republic (1960-1966)? Who again allied with the northern slavemaster in the 2nd republic ( even after the progrom that occurred in the northern part of the country, then) and after the civil war? Even your brave (sic) ex-warlord who led you all into a shambolic war that nearly wiped out your race came back from exile to align with same northern oligarchy. Many more instances abound but I hate to belaboured a Known fact but my premise is that, at no time do yorubas confer that ignominous tag of "servitude" on you guys as we respect your right to ally with whomever you deemed best to serve your interests. However, for the first time in our chequered history, that some yorubas - with yours truly excluded- saw fit to parley with the northern organ -grinder does not give you and your duplicitious co-travellers the means to start lying so bare-facedly. Yorybas have not ALWAYS align with the north rather it was you mischevious souls east of the river niger that have ALWAYS willingly serve your perpetual slavemaster- hausa/fulanis. |
Paperwhite:.....and so did I. Mind you, not only am I yoruba but also from the same Lga in Ogun state as Diya but my reasons ( and I believe that of the royal fathers, as listed above) are definately beyond your crude comprehension skill so pardon me, if i refuse to flog a dead horse. |
hakimi1974:Am sure the pun (monkey) was intended. |
Frankly speaking my dear, i don't give a rat's booty if buhari lock you up (again) and throw the key down the drain. Hopefully, that (action) will shut you up for good |
Op.............failed or not, the biafran dream must come to pass and they are welcome to all the oil in the Niger delta however the fact of the matter is that we have no business being with these people in the same nation (and same goes to the folks, up north). |
NwaChibuzor100:.......plus you will live FAST, die YOUNG and make a BEAUTIFUL corpse. |
Firstpage:No, he and his duplicitous folks will be wondering (and wailing) why the yorubas were not willing to pluck their chestnuts out of the (hell)fire they wished on others. Very funny set of people who have just refused to learn from their ignominious past adventures. Talk about s.u.ckers for punishments. |
buceta:Yeah right, whilst flatinoes leaves their barren hamlets to develop their "enemies" land. |
Op, what i still find intriguing is that despite the spate of killings that the northern region had unleashed on the ibo race as you have enumerated here yet it's on record that it was you ibos who insisted on One nigeria with the same northerners and were at the same time salivating at the prospect of dominating everyone else in the yet-to-be- independent nation. I wonder WHY ![]() The north have never hidden how they feel about the ibos. |
Dino a.k.a mr. Ajekuiya, i too have no foggiest idea what function/s you guys perform at the National Assembly |
buceta:You should direct that question to your kith & kins who have saturated the city in search of a better standard of living that's unobtainable in their barren villages. |
buceta:And wtf do you want me to shut up? Probably 'cause i called you out for ehat you truly are- an hare-filled, mo.ro.nic, myopic ingate . You were quick to attribute the disorganization of lagos to cultural factor and then proceed to heap the blame on the locals even tho' we all are aware that the city is a melting pot of all tribes in the country. However, you are the same fellow that will, when it suits your purpose, claim the city belongs to your kith and kins by virtue of their population and myriad imaginary investments in the city. I thiught you guys claim the city will be nothing without your (unsolicited) but huge contributions? Bloody yeye folks............... |
OkutaNla:Abi o jare! |
dealslip:Of course, he/she is not from the states but rather from some slum in abia state. By their rhetorics, you shall know them. The Op is just another mischevious flatinoes out to do what they love to do most- yoruba bashing but hey we wouldn't tag them "yorubaphobic" o. Notice how the Op was quick to agree and propagate another idio.tic flatinoes' comment that it must be a yoruba culture. Meanwhile, they are the same mo.ro.ns who always claim ther are more of their kith and kins in lagos than the actual locals Bunch of hate-filled, myopic ingrates. |
sean1000x: |
Alariiwo:@ bolded.............Abi o jare!!! However unfortunately, like the proverbial cheek that was destined to be slapped silly at a particular place and time, they keep making the same inordinate ambition. Their need and quest to dominate is consequential in them getting smacked down by their neighbours or wherever they found themselves around the globe but they are too myopic and absolutely devoid of any introspective skills to learn from their misadventures. |
Ojiofor:Yeah, the bearded one was HoS of where? A tiny landlocked hamlet . |
KenOne: ; D |
