missidy: Just go to create emergency request, click on it and fill the information. I just told them I need a closer date because my school resumes in August, then I uploaded my i20. It was approved the next day. The problem now is, there are still no dates for Lagos. Only Abuja has dates for May. The whole thing is tiring. Dates will open up for Lagos don't worry. You still have 3 months before your school starts. Be patient |

zinachidi: yeah, she really needs to visit Nigeria. Those guys use auto responses in their emails and tickets, we've raised like 4 with like 3 emails Sir, What you did is illegal. She does not qualify for IW if she is not in Nigeria..It's illegal. You cannot do this for her. You better cancel this application and tell her to apply for renewal of her F1 by herself in either Mexico or Canada. If she is not leaving the US then she does not need to renew her F1. If you continue with this application the consulate will call her for interview so she better come to Nigeria. |

xbpihojf5r: I need advice regarding my visa situation in Nigeria.
I’m a foreigner married to a Nigerian woman, and I don’t qualify for a Nigerian passport. I entered Nigeria on a visit visa, and my last extension expired this month. I've been here for around 4 months. I want to leave Nigeria as soon as possible and don’t plan to return in the next few years.
Now, immigration is asking for 1000 dollars for either a visa extension (just to leave) or a spouse green card.
I’m exploring alternatives because $1000 is a lot just to exit.
My Questions: 1. Has anyone here left Nigeria with an expired visa? What was your experience at the airport? 2. Is paying the airport fine for overstaying cheaper than a $1000 extension? Any recent cases? 3. Are there other legal options I’m missing? (e.g., emergency exit permits from my embassy, waiver requests?)
Thanks in advance! Go to the airport as you leave. It just expired this April. I doubt rhe fine is up to 1000 usd. You can contact your embassy here if you need to confirm |

Bells1899: Please I need advice on what to do.
I traveled to the UK in 2023 with an arraigned dependant through work route. In 2024 the license of the agency that sponsored me was revoked and I now have to start looking for a new Cos.
Now that I've gotten a cos to be paid for and reaching out to the woman that was my dependant so we can contribute and pay the Cos fee together. She has refused to reply my messages and upon telling her that if she doesn't reply me and we should contribute her quota in securing the Cos, I will remove her from being my dependant. She than later replied and said If I try it, that she'll go to the home office and tell them we had an arraigned or fake marriage and we will both be sent back home.
I'm in distress at the moment, should I proceed in informing the home office that I'll be removing her as my dependant and hope I wouldn't have any issue if she goes to the home office to tell them we had an arraigned marriage? What can I do please, I can't keep waiting for her response again. It's an empty threat, do as you wish. Call her bluff If she had found an option for herself she would have 'divorced' you in a heart beat. She knows that if your status is revoked so is hers Bros face your life and your status. You are not bound to her so pls cut her off, you can't make her pay for anything so call her bluff and move on. |

I am not in Nigeria presently, so I am afraid they will request for an in-person interview For the future, it's actually illegal to send your passport across country lines. You didn't need to renew your F1visa if you're still studying and not leaving the borders of the US. What you could have done was book appointment woth US embassy in Mexico or Canada and do it yourself in person It's actually in your best interest that they request an In-Person interview. Did they return your passport or hold on to it? Did it take a week or two weeks? Did they call or email? Any info will be appreciated. Also submitted in Lagos. Ishilove: What is happening to ADK is the domino effect of the CBEX crash. ADK is not a Ponzi. It was supposedly a reverse betting platform where people placed bets on matches using the signals provided by the ADK platform. If the bet succeeds, you get to keep the profit, and if it fails you get to keep your bet amount but no profit. From what I found out, referrals and growing your team was compulsory. If you don't have a downline by the end of a month, they would kick you off the platform. Withdraw your money and fvck off It's a ponzi scheme as long as it depends on you recruiting people. It's not about the betting or the money you put, the REAL business is the recruiting |

I really don’t know what’s best because the responses I’m get is just very conflicting. One told me since he is not a relation I should stay clear. Another told me so far as my bros account is legit it doesn’t matter.
But how do I explain I have relatives abroad. Please can you help. First relax. In the end you choose whatever advise you wish. You need your i20 and for that you have a short fall of 2.7k . Your brother has offered his statement to cover this. Simple Submit it and get your i20. In the end you funded by the school and a small deficit covered by family. Please move on to getting interview date No VO is collecting or seeing any statement of account neither can they have access to what you submitted to your school. Predominantly their questions are WHY do you want to study that course, and Funding questions. It's people here that have said such, mentioning things like that based on our own perspective what is a reasonable age for education Some of your consular officers have no more that high school education |

I just have a little question, will it be weird that the money was just put in my savings ? Also, would it be sketchy again if I have let’s say 5k dollars or 4k dollars in account ? Like the equivalent of 4k or 5k dollars in naira. It's your university that's you're sending the statement to for your i20. Not US consulate Embassy isn't going to see it neither wiill they ask for it for F1 visa appointment. You visa approval or denial is done right there.. I think you are overthinking it. You've done most of the heavy lifting your tuition etc is mostly covered. Besides 2k plus is just about 3million, that's not all lot of cash. That's like your ticket money. |

MAXIMIZING PERSONALITY DIFFERENCE FOR MARITAL SUCCESS
"...and the two shall become one flesh" - Ephesians 5:31
Marriage brings together two different people from different backgrounds, but it does not automatically align their differences.
Everyone is unique and has their way of doing things. However, in marriage; where two become one flesh, reaching a mutual consensus is essential to maximizing these individual differences for marital success.
Join us this Sunday for another edition of SURE HOME marriage seminar.

Wokeupandslayed: Can anyone please help me
I have a deficit of 2748 dollars, my health insurance and general fee was partially covered. But my tuition, non residence fee, some other fees was completely covered alongside a $13,400 stipend too.
I’m currently filling out my I-20 paperwork and there’s a part that says “Does this amount cover the total financial support necessary for your first year of study as outlined above?” When I say “No” I’m asked to provide a bank statement. At the same time I can’t say yes because I have partial general fee and health insurance
My uncle was supposed to let me use his bank statement for his deficit but he said he can’t be of help anymore.
Someone advised me to be self funded. I should put about $5,000 in my savings account and send over my bank statement for my I-20. Please would you guys advise me to do that? Because I know when filling a de -160 form I would be asked about my salary which I would say is 150-200, So how is it possible I have 5000 dollars in my account. Also I can look for a way to get the money by next week. It would reflect on my bank statement that I just put the money. Would it not be sketchy. ?
Please can someone advise me on what to do Next ? Im really confused. Use your bank statements with the amount as deficit.. You don't know what questions you would be asked. Besides it's better to say your deficit is covered by you. At least it's just over $2k. Thats better than claiming an uncle paid for your own Masters program. In light of the real expenses you will have studying 2k is small |

Zahra29: The bolded is not accurate. The health and care visa route was extended to care workers in Feb 2022. Only 2 years later in March 2024, the government clamped down on the care route, revoking hundreds of licenses, banning care dependants and introducing new CQC regulations. So it's not true that stories of abuse were in the media for >3 years.
It has been accepted that the Home Office should have forecast better and should have had the proper resources and controls in place. Most of these failings have since been addressed and lessons learned.
What is a scandal is that even with much tighter controls in place and the widespread coverage and warnings on CoS scams, some people are still trying to find a way to buy CoS even when they know/ought to know that it is wrong. The scammers are still able to operate (even issuing fake CoS) because people are still providing a market for them. I think we overrate widespread coverage. Not everyone has similar levels of access to media. They would be more likely to listen to a person they know than media far removed. And I would still hold Home Office accountable. This 2yrs you mention on media is because it was Uk media. That's the only reason they even bothered plus it became an election matter as immigration usually is . The abuse of this route was in media on social groups even here on Nairaland. Heard from students during covid 2019/020/21 era who found care homes charging them 500, 1000 for COS till it overflowed overseas as greed usually follows loopholes like this. |
