PassingShot:The position of the law is simple on the issue of having a complete ticket( A candidate and A running mate). APC or INEC cannot force a candidate into an election. On the issue of the Electoral act. The word used in that clause is 'INEC 'MAY' decide to conduct. It is not binding on INEC. Because Rochas didn't challenge doesn't mean another candidate cannot do that. I have earlier agreed with you that registered voters is the position recognized by the electoral act, but INEC on its own introduced the use of PVC's as 'compulsory' on an election day. If INEC argues against the compulsory usage og PVC's as what makes one an actual voter, then INEC will be shooting itself on the foot. Where in the electoral act as amended did it state that a party can substitute a candidate in the middle of an election? Or that votes casted and counted for a candidate can be appropriated to a new candidate? The electoral act as been amended since after the supreme court judgment favoring Amaechi. A candidate and not just the party must partake in all the processes/stages. 1 Like |

PassingShot:Do you know that the electoral act has been amended after the supreme court judgment that a candidate must partake in all the processes. Did Bello partake in the process that brought in the 240,000 or more votes in the November elections? Does bringing in merely 7000 votes out of 247000 votes mean one has taken part in all the stages. Isn't voting in itself a process? 5 Likes |

PassingShot:I beg top disagree with you. Faleke can claim the supplementary election that brought Bello in is null and void since he has written to INEC and APC to remove his name as a deputy governorship candidate for the supplementary election. INEC and the APC cannot force a candidate to run in an election, and since one cannot run in an election without a complete ticket it makes the election null and void. Faleke can dispute INEC's claim based on the PVC's distributed and the difference between the votes of Audu/Faleke's and Wada's. Yes, the electoral act only recognises the registered voters but Faleke's legal team will challenge INEC to explain who is a 'Qualified Voter' on an election day. If INEC's argument only supports 'registered voters and not of the use of PVC's, INEC would have shot itself in the leg meaning that elections conducted using PVC's are meaningless and unconstitutional and as such INEC cannot force the electorates to produce a PVC before voting since what they recognize is the registered voters only. Thirdly, can you claim Bello has fulfilled all the constitutional requirements? Did Bello take part in the more than 2,500 polling units where elections were concluded in November? Isn't that part of the constitutional requirement? Lastly, when the returning officer for the elections was returning Bello as the winner, he did not say APC alone but said Alhaji Yahya Bello of the APC haven polled the highest number of votes and satisfied all constitutional requirements is thereby returned elected'? Did Yahya Bello in actual sense pull the highest number of votes? 32 Likes 3 Shares |

ponleh: So Fashola it was who directed that contracts awarded be published on the website? Why are some blaming Ambode? Now that Ambode has ordered it to be taking down, I am sure Ambode will still be blamed. Why? because we love Fashola and would make anyone a scapegoat or fall guy for his shortcomings. |

alaoeri:A lot of his admirers see him as a victim, meanwhile he is not. Fashola himself made several attempts to undermine and destroy Tinubu but failed. Lagos politics, the more you look the less you see. I still respect him though. 8 Likes |

Fela's family have since distanced themselves from The anti-buhari campaign. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/01/family-reacts-political-advert-using-felas-photo/ Tunde Thompson, one of the journalists imprisoned during Buhari's regime now supports him. http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/174665-support-buhari-despite-government-jailing-tunde-thompson.html Wole Soyinka who was quoted in the video not to long ago said "Jonathan is worse than Nebuchadnazzer". What could be more demeaning that this? http://www.punchng.com/news/jonathan-worse-than-nebuchadnezzar-soyinka-2/ It seems many of them believe that Jonathan is worse than Buhari. |

Splashme: This is a lie. Afenifere lost its relevance when they allowed OBJ to scam them. How many Yorubas even know who the current leader of the group is? What we have now is 'Afeniferawon and Afenifenuwon'. 64 Likes 2 Shares |

Truth24: You hurt yourself by believing in many of the lies in your post. On fuel subsidy: Is it not amusing that Dr. Ahmadu Ali, only whose watch as the Chairman of PPPRA Nigerians witnessed the monumental subsidy fraud of N2trillion is now the Director General of Goodluck/Sambo Presidential Campaign Organisation? Are you not aware that one of Ahmadu Ali's sons was named as a subsidy thief? Wasn't Ifeanyi Ubah of Capital Oil indicted in the subsidy scam? Today, Ifeanyi Ubah is the Chief financier of TAN. Has any of the subsidy thieves been successfully prosecuted? No. The Otedola's and many of the named subsidy thieves are ardent supporters of President Jonathan, so who is getting hurt? The subsidy thieves or the average Nigerian masses? On NEPA/PHCN Privatisation: I am an apostle of privatisation. The Government sold some of the GENCO's and DISCO power sector to its cronies(Tunde Ayeni and co) only to later bail them with an intervention fund of N200billion. On Ghost Workers: Has anyone been prosecuted for shortchanging the system? Has any too civil servant been sacked? If there are no deterents, people would still devise other means of circumventing the system. On Oil Bloc allocation/License: You lied. The oil bloc bonanza is still on. Ask them Jide Omokore, Igho Sanomi, Benjamin Peters, Kola Aluko, Walter Wagbatsoma, Philip Iheanacho and the other Diezani acolytes. Even Iyabo Obasanjo was dashed/awarded an oil bloc by GEJ(All Grace Energy). 1 Like |

Well, its all part of Jonathan's plan to postpone the elections. Gathering a collection of functional illiterates and corrupt ethnic gangs claiming to be freedom fighters to threaten and blackmail the whole nation into submission. Threats don't will election. Their game is defunct, na Asari go first run go Benin republic where he has numerous business interests. 73 Likes 5 Shares |

Is this from her salary as a once upon a time teacher or as an absentee retired permanent secretary, gift from corporate cronies or from the public funds? Mama peace is known to be corrupt to the hilt, this is just one of the very many. 11 Likes |

Is it not a shame and indictment on PDP and Jonathan's government that many of these so called corrupt individuals are currently strutting the length and breadth of this country? Even those facing corruption charges amongst them are the poster boys of Jonathan's campaign. Alams who went to jail was graciously pardoned by GEJ. |

What of DPK and AGO? Shouldn't we have a slash in the prices of these products also? Price of crude oil fell by 50percent so they must be a reduction. Or this is just another campaign Greek gift? |

BlackTechnology:Ignorance fuelled comment. The project is being executed through a Public Private Partnership between the FG(represented by NPA), LASG and Tolaram Group. All parties except the FG have fulfilled their financial obligation(equity) since 2012. Is this how you want to encourage foreign investment when the FG is finding it difficult to keep its own side of the bargain? 1 Like |

naijaking1:In Nigeria, when Government fails to comply with an earlier agreement, its not unusual to see certain people blame the other party to the agreement for being too hard on Government or manufacture imaginary enemies of Government and accuse them for the insensitivity and incompetence of Government. This is why our leaders have continued to make a notorious hobby out of breaking promises and ditching agreements. 7 Likes |

bcomputer101:Certain ethnic interests have hijacked and personalized the mandate given to Jonathan by Nigerians to themselves. One aspect where OBJ got it right in his 18 page diatribe is the accusation below; “To allow or tacitly encourage people of ‘Ijaw nation’ to throw insults on other Nigerians from other parts of the country and threaten fire and brimstone to protect your interest as an Ijaw man is myopic and your not openly quieting them is even more unfortunate." Allowing Jonathan to contest or not for a second term is purely a PDP affair. Threatening other parts of the country is not only myopic but fo0lish, even if the PDP eventually hands the party's ticket to Jonathan will they also force others to vote for him? They are not making friends for Jonathan rather they are creating more enemies for him. 5 Likes |

Afam4eva:Obasanjo writing a letter to express his dismay isn't a new thing. The same thing he is doing with Jonathan, he did with Shagari, he helped Shagari to ascend to power only to become his critic. OBJ also had friction with the late Yaradua whom he also helped install. OBJ is simply a narcissist! Did IBB not speak out against OBJ? Even as we all know IBB isn't a fan of GEJ, he rarely criticize him in the open. When was the last time you read in the news where IBB criticized Jonathan? Politics is about interest bro! |
