@Op, no source? How much is in each account? You have to furnish us with details of transactions/deposit/balance. Many of those accounts may be dormant! This information is not tenable in a court of law, especially as there is no law stopping a private citizen from operating foreign accounts. You need to provide evidence of financial underdealings or money laundering. Your job is not concluded yet! |
@Op, always let facts prevail over loyalty and not the other way round. Can you compare the conduct of Edo and Ondo States elections with that of Anambra? Should we still be experiencing delays in arrival of election materials considering the enormous amount of money we inject into these elections? Late arrival of materials erode confidence in the system. Anambra is a peculiar case considering the vast number of registered voters who were disenfranchised. In a state where there are 1.7million registered voters, only a third of the 1.7 million registered voters were able to exercise their franchise. Why, because INEC either by errors of omission or commission tampered with the voters register. Was the voters register tampered with to give an undue advantage to a particular candidate? One of the major contenders who have during previous elections casted his ballot in his polling booth, all of a sudden could not find his name on the voters register. Who should take the blame for such display of unpardonable ineptitude if not the umpire, INEC. The Police hurriedly paraded members of an accredited civil society group as suspected thugs, but till now the police is yet to parade or give the name of the INEC officer and that of his or her collaborators that sabotaged Idemilli election. Is this how to instill confidence in the system? Anambra broke the record on numbers of invalidated votes based on irregularities. The invalidated votes came second ahead of PDP and APC. Isn't that an indication that it was a grossly tainted poll? Jega who seem to be more honest than you has admitted that saturday's poll was below average! Stop blaming the mainstream media, they are only reporting situation of things even though we know the truth is unpalatable to you! APGA was always going to win the election no doubt but no one expected an election marred by massive irregularities. |
Sincere 9gerian: Nonsense! How can you know what a man can do except he is given an opportunity? Who knew Fashola before he became governor? Who knew Soludo before he became CBN governor? Who knew what Sanusi could do until he became CBN governor? Just like Sanusi, Obiano had an unblemished career in banking. He has all it takes to govern Anambra state. But unlike Fashola who was imposed on Lagosians by Tinubu, Obiano CONTESTED a primary election and was duly elected by APGA faithfuls. The primary election was shown live on national tv. Did Fashola contest any primary election? Soludo could have also been a good candidate but unfortunately, APGA faithfuls did not trust him to sustain the party after becoming governor. They thought he may betray the party just like Rochas.Cut the crap! Fashola is a stooge to Tinubu, as Obiano is to Peter Obi. Even in your good conscience you know that Soludo is a better candidate to Obiano. He has a sound understanding of how the public sector works than an untested Obiano. Fashola was in the public service as chief of staff to Tinubu before Tinubu imposed him. Yes, Fashola did not contest in a primary but is there anywhere in the Electoral Act where it is stated that candidates must only emerge through Primaries? Isn't Obiano's primary a stage-managed one? What is the difference between an imposition and a sham primary? I wish Obiano the best of luck, but you have to admit that Peter Obi played a politics of self-preservation. |
aryzgreat: Anambra money used, so no payment. What is my business with Tinubu losing his investment? Tinubu and Peter Obi are both big thieves. You and I are both victims of their gluttonous greed and treasury looting. Both are mortgagers of our collective future! Anambra money used, so no payment? Anambra's money is APGA's money or that of Peter Obi or Obaino's? No wonder the true owners of the money were willing to sell their votes for peanuts! You are lost! |
I am also sure the phone conversation between Peter Obi and Obiano would be about how, he(Obaino) is going to repay all the Anambra state funds used for the election into Peter Obi's private coffers, and also repay depositors funds taken from Peter Obi's Fidelity Bank with high interest when he gets to office! Petty and vain generation of Nigerian youths who are only interested in taunting and mischievously ensnaring one another while some people who do not know about their existence continue to cart away their collective wealth. |
"Every thief caught red-handed and exposed quickly retrace their steps into the ethnic or religious cocoon and begin to sponsor with our stolen funds, ethnic and or religious 'mass' defence of their thievery." We've seen it play out on Nairaland also, with the supposedly enlightened ones being at the fore front of ethnic defense of graft and financial recklessness, so what do we expect from the Almajiri's? |
Funnily, if the same World bank releases a report that there are major improvements in our social welfare indicators even though the people are not feeling the impact or the report says that unemployment rate is now 10%, the Government would gladly accept the report but Government outrightly rejected this. A Government that appreciates if her performance is 'over exaggerated' shouldn't be angry when lied against. I do not believe in the 100million claim though. But poverty still persists, inequality widens and its prosperity for a few in our society. We have a few wealthy Islands surrounded by a vast Sea of Poverty. Our Government should tackle these challenges head on. Corruption robs the poor the most, and deprives millions of people of access to service and of the opportunity to earn a living. |
ifebosco: if you want free elections in nigeria, the inec chairman should be appointed be we the citizens not the president.a football player can not appoint a refree in a match he/she is going to play.we should do the right thing and stop being sillyThe Uwais committee report on electoral reform also recommended that the power to appoint the INEC chairman should not reside with the President. I propose that the job should be advertised and a body be constituted made up of the Chief Justice of the Federation, representatives from the NBA and civil society groups and representatives from political parties(they are stakeholders in the electoral process) to screen applicants and select their preferred choice. They will then forward the name of the preferred applicant to the President, who would then forward the name to the NASS. We need a genuine electoral reform or we fully implement the recommendations of the Uwais report which received wide acceptance. |
taharqa: Reali?? So all those times monies were released from this Account in other to Augment shortfall in Revenue at most FAAC meetings ALMOST ON A MONTHLY BASIS, including just 4 days or so ago when another $1billion was released and shared, cos State Govs hv been constantly demanding it, d States weren't aware right??.... Abeg, just cannot talk this morning unnecessarily. I will hv to pass...Are you talking or typing? Would they be asking for how the account is being managed if they were carried along? Bottom line, there should be a sort of synergy to reduce these accusations. Slow your rolls, you are always muddling up issues in a bid to defend the Government. |
taharqa: lol...who takes these Clowns seriously any longer?? Fooolish NOISEMAKERS. Let them be waiting for explanation about the monies they hv already shared to States from FAAC..The account belongs to the Federation(three tiers of government), though maintained by the FG. if there is a shortfall in revenue, it is pertinent that the FG consult with other parties(State and LG) before making deductions from the account. The confusion stems from the fact that the FG unilaterally made deductions from the account without the state governments knowledge. |
The beginning of the article was a form of sub-title which preceded the main body
Pay no mind to them. Many of them have limited attention span! The gun men demanded for the whereabout of all the babies delivered because they believed the particular baby they were looking for was still present in the hospital. |
Its become a routine affair for some journalists to just make up stories to fill column inches on a slow news day. Lamido was reported to have arrived for the retreat but left for Abuja to secure the release of his alleged thieving sons. Fatai Ahmed did not intentionally stayed away from the retreat, he was the Chairman at the wedding between the son of Gen. AbdulSalam Abubakar and the daughter of Senator Lafiagi, held in Ilorin, Kwara State on that particular day. Moreover, Bukola Saraki was present at the retreat, and anywhere Bukola is, Fatai is also there. The Governor of Niger State was ably represented by his deputy, and it is taken that where a Governor is represented by his deputy, he is also there. |
The party's flagbearer in the election was disenfranchised, yet the PDP is satisfied with the conduct of the election. After spending tens of billions of Naira on data capturing machines, on voters registration exercise, voting materials, logistics and recruitment of staff, INEC still demonstrated unpardonable ineptitude and either by errors of omission or commission disenfranchised a vast number of registered voters who were willing to exercise their franchise. Who are those tampering with the voters register? This should be a source of worry for all Nigerians and most especially the ruling party. We cannot be spending from our lean resources and not get good value or worth for the monies spent! |
It is dangerous to make politics an investment! The guy is profoundly irked because of the flawed electoral process! If na me sef I go vex! |

What do you expect? The current NANS President is a diploma student in OAU. A diploma student leading NANS, its a corrupt innovation to what used to exist. |
Slncere 9gerian: Insider infoBros how market? You be party agent? |
I also give up! I have low tolerance for stupidity. You even had to post twice to display more stupidity! I'll recommend to Seun that he bestows on you, a 'Lifetime Achievement Award' and also induct you into the 'Hall of Fame' for being the most idiotic contributor ever on this forum! Hapless Oaf! |
Childish Tantrums from an hairless ape with damaged gene sequence. Certified mor0n, you are also afflicted by Empty Brain Syndrome!Empty Brain Syndrome: A short-term disease that occurs when one is asked to recall something or give an example to prove their point, but cannot remember anything to do so. |
babyface333: Unbeatable nincompoo! National conference is a national issue. Fashola's deportation is a national issue. This two issues are supposed to be of much concern to every nigeria and odmakin deems it fit to speak on one, that is the national conference leaving out one because he feels as a yoruba man he shouldnt berate a fellow yoruba man.Mental midget, Mr. Eze's statement is also a National issue. It instills further mistrust and deep seated hatred that exists among various ethnic groups in Nigeria, and considering that the President was seated while the dosage of bigotry was dispensed, the message must be repudiated and condemned by a Yoruba group. Odumakin is not a detribalized Nigerian, he is a spokesperson for a Yoruba group. Afenifere is a Yoruba identity! MASSOB and other Igbo cultural groups all maintained a conspiracy of license when when Orji sacked non Abia indigenes from the state public service, but spoke out when Fashola repatriated some Anambrans. At least, you agreed that some well-known Yorubas spoke against the illegal deportation. I challenge you to provide proof of well-known Igbo figures or groups who have distanced themselves from Mr. Eze's pronouncement. I am not ashamed to be called a tribalist, but bigot? No. Don't bother quoting me again, you are incapable of logical thought. |
babyface333: Very myopic in thinking. If you ask were was he when mr Eze said awolowo murderd the igbos, why not ask also, were was he when fashola was deporting igbos from lagos.Remarkable idiocy! Did MASSOB, Aka Ikenga, Oha neze Ndigbo and others not speak out during the deportation saga? So why should a Yoruba socio-cultural group not speak out against Mr. Eze? Does Afenifere speak on behalf of Ndigbo? The leader of OPC, Faseun, condemned the actions of LASG, has any Igbo group called Mr. Eze to order or dissociate itself from his proclamation? |
Drooling imbeciles will believe any fabrication! |
@Oluwa, I agree with your last post to some extent. Afenifere is the foremost Yoruba socio-cultural group, and as such should always play an elderly role. It is incumbent on them to reach out to Fashola and other SW Governors who are opposed to the dialogue, and make them see reasons why all Yorubas must support the proposed conference. It is only when they(Governors) fail to heed the advice of the elders that Afenifere can go on the pages of newspapers to castigate them. Afenifere should see the Governors as erring kids, "Omode o le mo eko je, ko ma ra lenu" and reach out to them. Otherwise, Afenifere would be seen as "Agba ti o le to ile". I do not want to believe that Afenifere's criticism is due to the fact that they've lost out in the balance of power in the SW. |
What is the brouhaha all about? If APC does not want to be part of a dialogue, those interested should go ahead with it. If those who elected APC as their representative are uncomfortable with APC's stand, they can vote them out in the next elections. It became politically expedient for members of the PDP who were staunch antagonists of a National Conference to make a sudden volte-face, and if members of APC who have long clamored for a conference do not really trust the motive of our 'Sudden Converts and Born Again', the President, David Mark and co, why should it generate so much negative publicity, and moreover, it is not a conference for political parties? Members of APC and the PDP including the President are self-serving, and they would not do anything that conflict with their interests, and their interests differ from ours. Many Yorubas would have expected to hear someone like Mr. Odumakin who claim to be the spokesperson of a Pan Yoruba Group to speak out against the campaign of calumny and denigration of his people by Mr. Eze and PDP in extension, who said Awolowo and his people murdered Igbos. Why the conspiracy of silence from our so-called Afenifere? Or his Odumakin now a member of PDP? Silence means acceptance or guilt!!! |
obayaya: really?INEC confirmed what? Oga don't be an agent of falsehood. |
gleaf: El rufai is one little rat that runs around a house disturbing the occupants! The earlier that muslim animal leaves Anambra the better for his life, cos pple he sent home from Abuja during his wicked demolition are busy tracking him at awka!...Primitive reasoning. So he is going to be attacked because he legally or illegally demolished buildings owned by your people? What happened to seeking legal redress? Aluu Mentality# Peter Obi's hypocrisy is legendary. Has he forgotten his arguments when LASG illegally deported some Anambrans, that the laws of the land guarantees "Personal Liberty, Freedom of Movement and Right of residence in any part of the country(Section 41)"? Or is it a case of Pretentious Ignorance? Obi is a Certified Clown! |
Is Gov. Obi a registered observer in this election ffor his political party? If INEC accredited El-Rufai as one of his party's delegate to monitor the elections, why should his movement be restricted? Kingspin: Commenting on the restrictionOfficial hypocrisy or Pretentious Ignorance? So our constitution no longer guarantees freedom of movement? So someone from Katsina(meanwhile el-Rufai is from Kaduna) is not welcome in Anambra. Has Obi forgotten his arguments during his battle with the LASG on the illegal deportation of some Anambrans? That the laws of the land guarantees Personal liberty(Section 35), Freedom of Movement and right of residence in any part of the country(Section 41)!!! |
Anambra Poll: Why we are monitoring el-Rufai, SSS says "When contacted on telephone, the Director of SSS in the state, A.U. Okeiyi, confirmed the report, saying that Mr. El-Rufai was being protected." "El-Rufai is not an ordinary person, if anything happens to him, they will blame the security," he said. Heavily armed security men were seen guarding the premises of the hotel. http://premiumtimesng.com/regional/149726-anambra-poll-monitoring-el-rufai-sss-says.html Isn't there a difference between monitoring and restricting an individual's movement? |
At the polling unit near APC candidate, Ngige's home, materials arrived at 11:50 without the result sheets, so there's arguments whether to vote or not.
