What a traumatic bonding occasioned by the twin evils of ignorance and debilitating poverty. You are expressing empathy, sympathy and positive feelings toward your captor to the point of cussing another.

She is an embodiment of corruption. Widespread graft allegations ranging from unprofessional waste of public fund, sweetheart oil deals and kickbacks to subsidy mismanagement, have swirled around her and remain unaddressed. She is one of the Symbols of Corruption and Untouchables in GEJ's cabinet.

We should not ethnicize this matter. if this story is anywhere near the truth, it calls for serious concerns. We should be wary of an evolving tyranny.

The government have no resources to meet the union demands, but have the resources to satisfy the greed and maintain the outrageous lifestyle of our corrupt-to-the-core ruling class and political marauders.

If it is true, it is evidently a reckless act of impunity.

I await LASG response. Disinformation disseminators and propaganda propagators are very much in town !!!

eGuerrilla: Comrade Keyamo,

I applaud you for throwing your hat into the muddy waters of Nigerian politics at this hour.

Since you've settled for the APC platform, please be sure to align yourself with its most radical groups of reformists. Hold on to your core values tenaciously for, like the other one, this outfit also contains its fair share of retrogressive forces. cheesy

In God we trust.

A man without pant laughed at a man with holey pant. Hypocrisy grin

All political parties are guilty of inducing the electorates, but PDP is the Master of election riggers with its Food-is-ready, Share-the-money and Do-or-die brand of politics.
PoliticsRe: African Development Bank Report Is Political - Presidency by takedat(m): 12:07pm On Aug 12, 2013
This government is pathologically averse to criticism and redolent of political puerility. As usual, discountenance local and independent assessments that appear 'Unfavorable'. Engage in empty bravado and point fingers of blame at imaginary enemies instead of outlining the steps taken by government to help Nigerians escape the dungeons of poverty. Are these two reports political as well?

"Poverty rate remains high in Nigeria, particularly in the rural areas."- World Bank in its 'Nigeria Economic Report', May 2013

http://peoplesdailyng.com/nigerians-getting-poorer-under-jonathan-wbank/

Nigeria ranked 153 out of 186 countries in the 2013 United Nations Human Development Index.

atlwireles: You just made my point, so let's allow Abati do his job.
No one forced the Presidency on him. He personally volunteered so he should be ready to take the heat. The Presidency comes with gains and pains, after all, he his enjoying the pecks that come with the office so he should be ready to accommodate the criticisms as well.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Warns Bisi Akande To Respect His Age, by takedat(m):
atlwireles: What prestigehuh Do you have any value for the current occupant of the Presidencyhuh
Does the occupier of the Presidency value me'? Is he not promoting his own selfish interest and that of his cronies? I dey follow am chop N1billion food? grin
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Warns Bisi Akande To Respect His Age, by takedat(m):
atlwireles: There is no moral ground in Nigerian politics, it took Jonah and PDP almost 2yrs to find this fact out. A Nigerian politican insults you, insult their parents. If he slaps you, you cut off his hands. That is the only thing Nigerians understand. So Abati MUST strip the old man Akande naked in public the next time, his mouth refuse to count his teeth..
And those ones too will strip the Presidency bare, and flog it out in the open. Who has more prestige and image to Protect? They should continue with the Political Roforoism. Is Abati not the one crying because someone accused the president of running a kindergarten presidency?

The funny thing is that most people will remember 'Kindergarten Presidency' than Abati's vitriol.
PoliticsRe: Boko Haram Will Die If OBJ, IBB, Others Can Advise Jonathan--anenih by takedat(m): 11:23pm On Aug 11, 2013
The same unscrupulous elements and inglorious characters that ensured Nigeria's admittance into the halls of hardship? Why am I surprised, Anenih is also part of the old brigade kleptocrats now bearing placards of questionable patriotism. They should all take a hike to the Island of Irrelevance.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Warns Bisi Akande To Respect His Age, by takedat(m):
awodman: Let me give you a short story..
A certain white garment pastor will always come to my street to do early morning cry(preaching)..whenever he starts his sermon,a certain well built young man will start pouring all kinds of diatribes against his person..this continued for long and the pastor will just go on with his preaching exercising all the restrain he can..a certain day came and this pastor couldn't take it no more,he simply removed his white robe, dropped his bell and bible and reached for this young man and gave him the beating of his life. After the beating he still continued with his preaching...

So what am I saying in effect is that if insulting statements are not made in the 1st place they won't be need for rebutals..its on record that since 2011 the opposition has been dishing out loads of insults to the president and it only took this year for the presidency to reply in like manner. What other restraint do you want them to exercise??
What is the moral of this fable? An 'Unforbearing man of God'? Or a Tout c.um Pastor?

Bros, the Presidency should do away with the endless, needless and puerile political bickering. The Presidency is expected to respond to a petty opposition with maturity and civility. These market women ensnaring and frequent whinings takes away any serious discourse to resolve important issues and exacerbates the situation.

PoliticsRe: President Jonathan - El-rufai Is A Serial Liar by takedat(m):
eGuerrilla: I would leave it up to El-Rufai to react to the curve-balls lobbed in his direction grin

One thing I find curious in this official response is the veracity given to a Wikileak document.
Surely if you lend credibility to one of these, you do this same for all others, no?
Its a matter of convenience. If a Wikileak or any other reports indicts the presidency/government, it will be discountenanced and labeled as outright falsehood and political but they pick on the ones that suits them.

@Topic- The Presidency should learn to ignore some people. El-Rufai is a curious gadfly of sorts and a ruffler of feathers. The Presidency should engage in better things, disregard and not dignify every negative remark with a press statement. It gives on-lookers the impression that the Presidency is insecure, while creating a larger-than-life image for the critic. Nigerians know the history of many of our political actors, we don't need the Presidency to remind us. No amount of detergents of image laundry will wash off their errors of omission or commission.

awodman: I disagree with you..those are well deserved rebutalls
If his rebuttals are well deserved, he shouldn't be angry with those who also unleash their bombastic prowess against the Presidency. Its a universal principle that if an adult notices some younger, or rather foolish individual acting stupid, the presumed wiser adult is supposed to ignore whatever intention the person had in acting thus and do what is right to show the foolish person the way. But since Abati prefers the Oshodi-Mushin Markets Polygamous rivalry, constantly taunting eachother in a very bitter connubial rivalry, he must not be angry if critics call the President foolish or unserious-minded.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Warns Bisi Akande To Respect His Age, by takedat(m): 9:26pm On Aug 11, 2013
awodman: Lai mohammed showed the way and Abati after much restraint followed suit...only for Lai mohammed to chicken out and turned around to beg abati to tone down on his choice of words.Have you seen Lai address the president in derogatory terms after Abati's fire..So simply Bisi Akande deserves the dish served him by Abati..
Even if critics use harsh words against the President, it is incumbent on Abati not to reply in kind because he is not speaking for himself but for an institution. He has relegated the office of the President with articles barely reflected of Presidential restraint. He should carry on with the primeval recklessness and fire-for-fire strategy with critics since they run a kindergarten presidency.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Warns Bisi Akande To Respect His Age, by takedat(m): 9:08pm On Aug 11, 2013
Why is Abati angry? Are we not aware of his propensity to resort to the use of foul language against the critics of President Jonathan? "Collective children of anger, Medieval era Ignoramus, Sophisticated Ignorance, habitual indolence and brainlessness etc." Abati should watch his own vitriol, those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
An Ex-governor with no traceable source of income lavished billions on his fictitious 60th birthday celebration and it was ok, but the mother of a sitting president donates 2 hostel blocks worth less than 100 million to a university and she's called all sorts of names.

The hypocrisy of my southwest brothers !!!
What a load of nonsense. Does the mother of the President have a traceable source of income?

homesteady: Like seriously!! Is this a joke or what!! You are using sahara reporters as proof??
So SR is not a proof? I am guessing you are one of those who bersmirched SR during Patience Jonathan's health saga, only to find out later that the Presidency was the propagator of falsehood.

It is only those who have nothing to say/type that discredit a news source instead of the news itself. Partisanship divides media users. If we all start to express prejudice in favor or against every news source, there will be no news outlet to trust again because they all have their biases.
