Guy, this forum is a marketplace of opinions, and my post wasn't directed at you. Funny how you take pleasure in scrutinizing others but you do not want your own misdeeds to be highlighted.
PoliticsRe: PDP Ask Ndigbo To Ignore Okorocha, Calls Him A Political Prostitute! by takedat(m):
^I am not one to promote tribal/ethnic chauvinism. The PDP Chieftain spoke on how the PDP controlled state governments in the SE are cynosure of all eyes and presented them in garbs as messiahs of the SE. My post was to counter such falsehood.

It is not my responsibility to spoon feed you. You can do a detailed scrutiny of the APC and PDP controlled states and parallel them on your own.

Agreed that the fortunes of Ndigbo is not worse off compared to the inhabitants of some of the APC controlled states, then I wonder why the mass migration? Is it because the SE states are abysses of helplessness, shattered dreams and broken hopes?

PoliticsRe: PDP Ask Ndigbo To Ignore Okorocha, Calls Him A Political Prostitute! by takedat(m):
Some are perpetually condemned to be forever bamboozled and taken for an endless, crazy-circle ride by horde of unscrupulous elements. In what way has Austin Akobundu contributed to the upliftment of Ndigbo? What has the SE benefited from the PDP? Apart from Chime, all past and present PDP Governors of the SE are political bandits who governed their states with arrant directionlessness. Orji Kalu, Nnamani, Mbadinuju, Ohakim, Udenwa and Egwu, all left a trail of administrative incompetence, roguery, reckless misappropriation and gross irresponsibility. Theodore Orji and the gerontocrat in Ebonyi are nothing to write home about. SE PDP is too morally challenged to accuse Rochas of moral bankruptcy.

Rochas is being castigated and crucified because he his too ambitious. Anyone who has no ambition is not fit to lead.

Is Abati referring to the glamorized SURE-P and the other youth empowerment schemes of federal and state governments where graduates of tertiary institutions are recruited as street sweepers and traffic managers only to be paid N10000-N20000 per month? Or the increasing casualisation by many public and private companies? The economy will always be good to an ornamented turncoat, as millions of Nigerians are confined to the inglorious halls of hardship.

The Nigerian economy presents a curious paradox. Economic growth, yet no significant social impact on alleviating poverty and reducing the wide wealth chasm between the rich and the poor. How the poor can relate to, and be overjoyed by government's euphoric announcements and trumpets blaring is hard to see! There is nothing in it for them, except pie in the sky.

Toxic Ignorance. The cremation law provides for Lagosians a CHOICE to either cremate their dead or bury them the normal way.

PoliticsRe: Deportation: APC, Party Of The Wicked – PDP by takedat(m):
Has the PDP fared any better? The FG controlled security agencies hound innocent Nigerians under the guise of wandering and other frivolous excuses, they are not charged to court, and many are languishing in jails across the country with their families unaware of their whereabouts.

The PDP suddenly found its voice because the CAN is involved but maintained a terrible silence when Akwa Ibom State asked Lagos State to come pick up its vagrants. The ruling party was asleep when Abia State government discarded non-indegenes of Igbo extraction from its civil service or when Anambra State government repatriated destitute, under-ages and beggars to their states of origin.

PDP's 14 years of misrule have turned Nigeria into a country renowned for unfulfilled promises, a calligraphy of agony and a mosaic of misery hence many are destitute and many have resorted to begging for alms in order to stay alive.
PoliticsRe: APC Accuses Gov. Peter Obi Of Playing Politics With Nigeria’s Unity by takedat(m):
Conquered-People Mentality and Double Standard.

They maintained a conspiracy of silence and few grudgingly reacted when South East Governors arbitrarily sacked non-indigenes of Igbo extraction, repatriated beggars and indigents to other South East states without recourse to due process. Their Siege Mentality sets in once their sons and daughters who fled the region to the 'Dreamland' in search of greener pastures because their political leaders have rap£d the common weal, auctioned off their collective interests and holdings to their private fronts, and bequeathed on them a legacy of shame and poverty were returned back home.

They rejoiced when over 3000 destitute, beggars and vagrants were returned to the North and other South West states from Lagos, but are now against the policy because its Igbos turn.

Lagos State Government had to travel to Akwa Ibom to pick up its own destitute, to prove that its a responsible and responsive government but Obi after series of exchanges of correspondence, never expressed his displeasure, yet abdicated his responsibility.

PoliticsRe: Breaking News Buhari Is Dealing With People Who Deceived Ribadu by takedat(m): 1:17am On Aug 04, 2013
If Ribadu was deceived, how come he is still an active member of the party? The PDP branding others as deceitful is such a big joke. Is the PDP not a loosely controlled group of cheats and liars, inglorious characters and masquerades, rogues and ex-cons who have disemboweled our aspirations as a people and bequeathed on us a legacy of shame, poverty and institutional decay?

PDP, a transparent party, yet their members are always in court challenging the party leadership.

whose fault is it that the President selected Olusegun Aganga, an Edo man, to represent Lagos State in the FEC? It means party members from Lagos State are inept and unsuitable. Ogunlewe and Seriki were former PDP ministers who represented Lagos State, yet their presence in the FEC did not amount to electoral fortunes for the party, neither did they bring any development to Lagos State.
PoliticsRe: Anambra Guber: 26 Aspirants Pick PDP Forms For N11 Million Each by takedat(m): 11:00pm On Aug 03, 2013
The intention of the PDP leadership to jack up the fees is to discourage an all-comers affair, making it possible for Only the money bags whose thick skin is to cream the state for their own selfish gains to vie for elective offices. Nigeria is paying a price continuously for the hijack of political space by the least-able and unsuitable money-hungry men and women. Good luck to the people of Anambra.
PoliticsRe: Can We Put An End To Ethnic Rivalries And Hostilities? by takedat(m): 10:33pm On Aug 03, 2013
Wishful thinking. We are saddled with masters of irredentism, professional noisemakers, ethnic jingoists and champions of tribalism who rate narrow-mindedness over ideals. They find pleasure in insulting leaders from other tribes even in their graves, yet they do not want the misdeeds of their own to be highlighted. We are the mirror of our leaders, so far they continue fanning the toxic embers of ethnic hatred and tribal animosity, you can only expect a 'Mythical Consensus' among forumers. Embarking on a gestapo-like banning will only amount to an exercise in futility. Ask Ikenna. Jingoism is worn as a badge of honor in this forum.

Mod @Afam is one of them.

PoliticsRe: Fashola Denies Deportation Allegation At Meeting With Igbo Leaders by takedat(m): 1:45pm On Aug 03, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: See, I am mad at this deportation. If you had read my first post on the day this incident was first reported you would have realised how mad I am about the whole mess.

I expect the state govt to apologise rather than resort to cheap lies or blame of political opponents.

If you read accounts of the first deportation and dumping of people at Onitsha, you'll find out that the Anambra state govt complained bitterly about it, and even wrote to the presidency. Was there an election then? Why repeat the deportation and then turn around to blame the Anambra state govt for complaining? Its like beating a child and telling the child not to cry? If anything, it is the Lagos state govt that has politicised the incident.

By the way, which politician wouldn't take the advantage if his political opponent decides to commit political suicide?
You do not expect Fashola to dignify every manufactured hogwash with a quick response. Most media houses reporting this 'deportation' saga all gave conflicting figures, 67, 70 and 72. None with first hand information, they only rely on hearsay.

Fashola's aide did not confirm the numbers of those resettled on the 24th of July. Read again the source you quoted to have a clearer understanding. He accepted that its a LASG policy to rehabilitate and repatriate destitute and beggars from other states.

Why did Obi and Anambra State Government not open up that there were series of exchanges of correspondences between them and the LASG, inviting them to come and have their own assessment which they failed to do since April? Obi did not express his grievances in any of those correspondence. Does it portray Obi and Anambra State Government as a responsive and responsible? If I am to apportion any blame to Fashola, it is dumping them in the middle of the night but not on the repatriation exercise.
PoliticsRe: Fashola Denies Deportation Allegation At Meeting With Igbo Leaders by takedat(m):
Sincere 9gerian: This Fashola is evil. This Fashola has no shame. This Fashola is satanic.

How can he so shamelessly lie about the number of people deported?

The deportation happened on 24th July while the news broke on 25th July,
http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/07/70-persons-deported-to-onitsha-from-lagos/

todays date is August 3rd, so how come it took Fashola almost 2 weeks to realise that number of those deported was not actually 70 but 14?

Before this statement by Fashola, one of his aides had already reacted to the deportation, claiming the state govt only re-unified the 70 deportees with their Families in Anambra
http://www.ngrguardiannews.com/news-metro/128410-fasholas-aide-defends-deportation-of-67-to-anambra

How can Fashola so shameless lie despite the mountainous evidence, eye witneses and testimonies?

What lie will explain the dumping of people on the road, around 3am, in dead of the night as attested to by numerous reports, including:

"One of the destitute, Mr. Osondu Mbuto, from Ohaozara in Ebonyi State and a petty trader in Lagos, had told journalists that they were dumped at about 3.00am on Wednesday morning at Upper Iweka after being detained in Ikorodu, Lagos, for over six months for alleged wandering and other minor offences by the Lagos State Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) officials.
They were brought to Onitsha in four buses, escorted by anti-riot policemen.
Mbuto said he was arrested by the KAI officials while going to his shop on December 18, 2012"
http://www.ngrguardiannews.com/news-metro/128410-fasholas-aide-defends-deportation-of-67-to-anambra
Bros no go run mad o! You do not expect Fashola to dignify every manufactured hogwash with a quick response. Most media houses reporting the 'deportation' saga have given conflicting figures 67, 70 and 72. Simply because no investigation was carried out, they only relied on 'hearsay'.

Fashola's aide did not confirm the numbers of those 'deported'. Read the report again, I am sure you do not have comprehension problem.

Why did Obi and Anambra State Government not open up that there were series of exchanges of correspondences between them and the LASG, inviting them to come and have their own assessment which they failed to do? That was in April, Obi never expressed his grievance in any of the exchanged correspondence. Does it portray Obi and the Anambra State Government as responsive and responsible? If I am to apportion any blame to Fashola, it is dumping them in the middle of the night but not on the repatriation exercise. Rehabilitation and repatriation of destitute, vagrants and beggars is a commonplace in most parts of the world. A/Ibom and FCT also use that policy.
