You got it wrong there. He has okayed someone already. If I were in the poster's situation I will forget marriage for now and get busy with other things because there's trouble already.

If the op should marry this girl he loves, there's problem and there will always be problem. Humans are very fond of putting the blames for our misdeeds on something or somebody.

Listen to me very carefully, Weed is the best gift God has given man, but it becomes a sin when it is taken excessively I.e when it is abused, just like they say sex is a sin when unmarried people have it. As for me, I smoked a lot of THINGS while in Uni, Infact in my 3rd year, I discovered that weed helped keep me awake at night to study, so every now and then I smoked heavy Atimbo weed, and I was successful. I have since stopped smoking the the three leaved plant, not because it's a sin, but because I have no further use for it.

@OP, I have never smoked weed but back then I used it to cook rice because I was told that it will make me eat well. It did make me eat well to be honest but I stopped it because I started eating like a fool. I could finish two plates of rice, a loaf of bread and 50cl bottle of coke and still be hungry, so I stopped.

I tasted jegemi once and stopped, not because it is a sin but because I was drowsy throughout the day and that's not good for a business person.
