Chimamanda is the bomb any day but I don't think it's appropriate to refer to the guy in that manner, especially given in the Nigerian context she talked about, they don't have that kind of relationship as one can only refer to a bosom friend or subordinate as such.

Read this her statement and you will understand why she called him her boy.
