Politics / Jubril Buhari Cloning: Real Or Fallcy by tallfish145(m): 12:14pm On Dec 04, 2018
Human cloning is the creation of genetically identical copy of human according to Wikipedia.

Have humans been cloned?
Despite several highly publicized claims, human cloning still appears to be fiction. There currently is no solid scientific evidence that anyone has cloned human embryos.

In 1998, scientists in South Korea claimed to have successfully cloned a human embryo, but said the experiment was interrupted very early when the clone was just a group of four cells. In 2002, Clonaid, part of a religious group that believes humans were created by extraterrestrials, held a news conference to announce the birth of what it claimed to be the first cloned human, a girl named Eve. However, despite repeated requests by the research community and the news media, Clonaid never provided any evidence to confirm the existence of this clone or the other 12 human clones it purportedly created.

In 2004, a group led by Woo-Suk Hwang of Seoul National University in South Korea published a paper in the journal Science in which it claimed to have created a cloned human embryo in a test tube. However, an independent scientific committee later found no proof to support the claim and, in January 2006, Science announced that Hwang's paper had been retracted.

From a technical perspective, cloning humans and other primates is more difficult than in other mammals. One reason is that two proteins essential to cell division, known as spindle proteins, are located very close to the chromosomes in primate eggs. Consequently, removal of the egg's nucleus to make room for the donor nucleus also removes the spindle proteins, interfering with cell division. In other mammals, such as cats, rabbits and mice, the two spindle proteins are spread throughout the egg. So, removal of the egg's nucleus does not result in loss of spindle proteins. In addition, some dyes and the ultraviolet light used to remove the egg's nucleus can damage the primate cell and prevent it from growing.
Consequently,In 2015 it was reported that about 70 countries had banned human cloning which include:
1.Colombia-Human cloning is prohibited in Article 133 of the Colombian Penal Code.
2.Australia-Australia has prohibited human cloning, though as of December 2006, a bill legalizing therapeutic cloning and the creation of human embryos for stem cell research passed the House of Representatives. Within certain regulatory limits, and subject to the effect of state legislation, therapeutic cloning is now legal in some parts of Australia.
3.United States-The Patients First Act of 2017 (HR 2918, 115th Congress) aims to promote stem cell research, using cells that are “ethically obtained”, that could contribute to a better understanding of diseases and therapies, and promote the “derivation of pluripotent stem cell lines without the creation of human embryos…”
4.United Nations-On December 13, 2001, the United Nations General Assembly began elaborating an international convention against the reproductive cloning of humans. A broad coalition of States, including Spain, Italy, the Philippines, the United States, Costa Rica and the Holy See sought to extend the debate to ban all forms of human cloning, noting that, in their view, therapeutic human cloning violates human dignity. Costa Rica proposed the adoption of an international convention to ban all forms of human cloning. Unable to reach a consensus on a binding convention, in March 2005 a non-binding United Nations Declaration on Human Cloning, calling for the ban of all forms of human cloning contrary to human dignity, was adopted.
5.Argentina-Human cloning is banned by the Presidential Decree 200/97 of 7 March 1997.
6.Canada-Canadian law prohibits the following: cloning humans, cloning stem cells, growing human embryos for research purposes, and buying or selling of embryos, sperm, eggs or other human reproductive material.
7.South Africa-In terms of section 39A of the Human Tissue Act 65 of 1983,genetic manipulation of gametes or zygotes outside the human body is absolutely prohibited. A zygote is the cell resulting from the fusion of two gametes; thus the fertilised ovum. Section 39A thus prohibits human cloning.
8.India-India does not have specific law regarding cloning but has guidelines prohibiting whole human cloning or reproductive cloning. India allows therapeutic cloning and the use of embryonic stem cells for research proposes
9. Serbia-Human cloning is explicitly prohibited in Article 24, "Right to Life" of the 2006 Constitution of Serbia.
10.Russia-The Federal Assembly of Russia introduced the Federal Law N 54-FZ "On the temporary ban on human cloning" in April 19, 2002. On May 20, 2002 President Vladimir Putin signed this moratorium on the implementation of human cloning. On March 29, 2010 The Federal Assembly introduced second revision of this law without time limit.

Back to Nigeria, in April 2013, a bill was sent to the senate chaired by Sen David Mark to ban human cloning in Nigeria. It sent the controversial National Health Bill to its Committee on Health for further legislative work.
Sections 48 to 57 of the bill deal with the control and regulation of the use and removal of blood, blood products and tissue, as well as the regulation of the manipulation, import and export of human zygotes and embryos.

It also deals with the prohibition of cloning of human beings and regulates transplantation of tissue.

With these views of the world powers and leaders, how is possible to start cloning human being without the resistance of government and organised health organisations?
If cloning is important to some powerful world leaders and individuals, why didn't a leader like Saddam Hussein clone his resemblance to escape been captured or why didn't some rich notorious criminals who can spend any amount of money to clone a semblance to escape been caught?

Religion / Re: My Take On How Mbaka Disgraced Peter Obi: Alter Of Mbaka, Not Of God by tallfish145(m): 5:27pm On Dec 03, 2018
Wisdomkosi:
By Wisdom Nwedene

There has been an outrage online after a video of self acclaimed Rev. Father Ejike Mbaka circulated the media space.

In the video, Mbaka can be seen disgracing and humiliating former Governor of Anambra State, Chief Peter Obi for refusing to make tangible donation despite the governor telling him (Mbaka) to show him where to do a project for the church.

Watching the video, tears rolled down my cheeks, seeing what Rev. Fathers, pastors have turned churches into. They have turned churches into money making machine (MMM).

In fact, churches have turned where pastors and Rev. Fathers use in scamming most of Nigerian politicians.

In the video, Mbaka said Atiku and Peter Obi will end in shame if they continue with the way they are moving,"that's is if they continue not giving him money ".

When Obi left the event, Mbaka himself admitted that he humiliated Peter Obi because of his support for President Muhammad Buhari and said if Buhari doesn't change, he will be changed. This is what is coming out from the mouth of man of God.

He further said that God doesn't like stinginess.

My question to Mbaka is, how can someone who told you to show him where to do a project be a stingy person? How? To me, Obi is a not stingy person but doesn't want to make a promise which he can't fulfill. If you doubt me, you can check his track record when he was a governor of Anambra.

Obi is known to be a man who doesn't like to spend lavishly and Mbaka should have let him be instead of disgracing him.

Finally, from recent video, it is crystal clear that it is alter of Mbaka, not of God that he is using to scam gullible politicians.

To his followers, be wise.

Right before our very own eyes gradually but steady we are witnessing the Somalialization of Yoruba land. So much for a region that is known for "Religious Tolerance". If not for hypocrisy I wonder why any religion will insist on altering the dress-code of any institution when they can easily locate a missionary school that suits their lifestyle.
The Muslims are fond of imposing there way of life in any circular setting, if you try to correct or make them see reasons why religious insignia should restricted in a very diverse society they will begin to protest and destroy properties after which their attack dogs (MUMURIC) will swing into action. But in most schools in the north e.g Ramat Poly in Borno(Government owned institution) forces all female students whether Christians, Idol worshipers etc to wear head-scarfs/ jalabiya, and people comply even though it is owned by a state government that have Indigenous Christians yet nobody raises dust, but muslims will be the first to shout when asked to dress uniformly and decently with their fellow compatriots. The irony of everything is that most of this religious chauvinist especially the ones with very thick black spot in the middle of their forehead cannot live in a total sharia complaint country such as Saudi-Arabia, Pakistan,Yemen etc they prefer to live in the Christian West where they begin to clamor for sharia because of the freedom they enjoy in those countries. Can anyone point to any core Islamic country that will allow the practice of any other religion apart from Islam freely? I have nothing against muslims the right thing must be done, just like I always condemn the apparent fraud/commercialization in some Christian denomination so will I condemn the obvious lack of tolerance from some of our Muslim friends.
PS: I have noticed overtime that it is the poor and wretched people that carry this hijab issue on their head like Sachet water hawkers while the elite and educated amongst them live their lives to the fullest.
does putting on hijab affect the students learning environment? Sentiments everywhere
