@topic, JESUS IS LORD, SAY IT OUT!I almost can't control the joy in my heart as I echo with deep convictions Thomas' statement in John 20:28! Unto Jesus who is called the Christ I declare: YOU ARE MY LORD AND MY GOD! |
@topic, Nigeria we hail thee. Can you all sing along? |
@topic, I didn't expect this topic to have created this much buzz so fast. I just hope I wont have to spend so much of my time trying to explain one thing or the other. Now to my responses. @k0be, While you have not told us what laws of physics were violated, it appears you are more inclined to believeing the building was taken down by controlled implosion. That is absolutely not the case. Let me explain to you briefly how a controlled implosion occurs. First, I think I need to explain the way load is transfered to the foundations in a building. The weight of everything in a room is directly borne by the floors. These loads are then transfered to the beams which then transfer the load to the columns unto the foundation. To demolish a building via controlled implosion, you will be wasting your time targeting the floors or the beams, rather your target should be the columns and possibly the foundations in very rare cases. An Engineer realises that once the columns give way, gravity will kick in to do the rest. Based on principles that I will explain as we go on, a building will not collapse by falling over unto its side. Rather, it will collapse by falling inwards due to the effect of gravity. Going by the principle I stated above, there is no way the towers we saw came down by controlled implosion. The tower gave way because of the collapsing floors. I implore you to take a further look at buildings that are demolished through controlled implosion, and you will realise that the demolision experts target the base columns and allow gravity to do the rest. This is certainly not the case with the twin towers. The collapse started at about the same floor where the impact occured and the weight of the falling floors and the accompanying momentum could not under any circumstances be resisted by the lower floors. As a result of this, the columns will be left vulnerable because the floors which provides resistance to bukling are no longer there and the columns become what we call slender columns. Slender columns fail when unbraced and that explains the failure of the floors above the impact area. Now here are some videos of some controlled implosion. Please notice how the columns especially towards the foundation area are the target of the explosions. This was certainly not the case with 911. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79sJ1bMR6VQ&mode=related&search= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZlGmnKvOhlg&NR=1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewyM7xNo40o&mode=related&search= |
@K0be, Let's deal with the issues you raised one by one. I hope you have evidences to support them so you don't turn out to be a rumor monger as some people are. Someone was also on nairaland recently with rumors that no Jew was killed on 911 because all 3,000 Jews working at the WTC didn't come to work on that day. Conspiracy theories abound, but what is more appalling is that simple minds that will believe anything that aligns with their prejudices abound even much more. To the issues you raised. 1. that two/three buildings defied laws of physics - The first question to ask is which 2/3 buildings defied the laws of physics? Secondly what are the laws of physics and which of them were violated? Thirdly, please explain how they were violated. I hope we can deal with these issues thoroughly one by one. Hopefully, no one will be in doubt to the veracity or otherwise of these claims by the time we are done. |
@laudate, Ah, I see. . . .Alan Dick and Plessey had a turn-key contract with MTN in 2001-2003 to deliver a specified number of BTS sites, when the construction of the 'yellow bahn,' took off. Now, they have more 'subbies' carrying out the job for them, on a larger scale.Do you work for MTN? Anyway, I don't think Alan Dick is even working with MTN any longer in the Northern region. Besides, Alan Dick is very expensive and they wouldn't be able to compete with the smaller subs once the gate is thrown open by MTN. Though their quality is far superior than most of what I've seen out there, I still felt they were rather too expensive and it was only a matter of time before they will either have to cut back or face outright side-lining. |
@laudate, Erm. . . .which one of MTN's 'subbies' or consultants did you work for? Was it Alan Dick (West Africa) or Plessey? Just curiousNow here is someone who has information. It was Alan Dick! |
@denex, Ah! Ah! Seun no go ban these people? If na me now, one hand. The ban should begin with the one who started this whole mess - Tornadoz. May the day never come when I will be afraid to retaliate for the fear of being banned by the obatanlapitipiti of nairaland. |
@Tornadoz, Well then I await with utmost urgency to the day your praying mantis LovePeddler dislodge your "headless neck" from the rest of the putrid human fart called Tayo. (I hope she eats all of you)I will take this as an acceptance of your ignorance in matters you know nothing about. Please try to read up and assimilate things before you go on rampage with ignorance on the world wide web. For a self styled engineering guru that statement does not redeem your boast that you're a sought after consultant, instead it validates my advice that you need a consultant> the one with a medical disposition. At least, the statement reveals you for what you really are: a chronic liar who can only read but cannot assimilate that which he reads. I am what I am by God's grace and all your hating can't put no dust on me. Aro might not be able to help you now, try Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, the best neurological hospital in the US.(Without a head I doubt if they will be able to help you though)For someone who claims he does not know the location of the US embassy in Nigeria, and yet knows the biggest hospitals in the US as well as the telecommunications giant, I can't but conclude that you have surpassed Afam in your ability to shoot yourself in the foot. Anyway, thank God for google which empowers liars like you. I would still wish you a nice day, with or without a head. You need it more than I do, though next time I hope you get a friend (that is if you have one) to translate your crack induced moronic babble, you're proving how fluent you are in nonsensical babble.Of course I need my head. The fact that yours is empty does not mean others should do without theirs. Am only just exploring the fringes of your colossal stupidity, I will expose the fraud called Tayo.Oh. I can't wait. And while you are busy exposing who I am, kindly shed a light on who you are unless you are just too ashamed for the online community to find out about your crack and LovePeddler tainted background. |
@Denex, I didn't want to engage it that whole crack-- discussion because honestly those words are too harsh for me and besides their is no truth or intention of truth in those name calling.Well, sometimes you have to give it to people the way they dish it out to you. I am not afraid to reply in kind when people get over their heads. Like Davidylan said, sometimes one just has to stoop low to be able to meet some others at the level they are operating. When you talked about the MTN BTSs I found it a little, well, anyhow since you sound so serious about it, I'll find out about you. There is no maybe or well with what I've stated. Many people don't even know the way the company is set up. MTN is just a service provider. The technology and the materials they use belong to others. For instance, the BTS stations were intially equipped with Erickson products, but there were efforts to change them to huwaie (I'm not sure about that spelling) just before I left the country. Huwaie is a chinese firm with comparable products that were almost half the price of Ericksons. I will appreciate you keep the results of your findings to yourself, unless of course you find anything contradictory to what I said and will therefore be right to let everyone know I was lying if that was the case. And please try and educate your comrades in arms who know next to nothing and think working for MTN's Technical Consultant makes you less knowledgeable of what the industry is all about. and let me know if there is anyway I can help you in your research. |
Laugh no go kill person for hia. So na one of the consultants you work for? You sure say no be fire them fire you for intellectual bankruptcy?Do I hear Bingo barking?! Oh, it is actually Bingo's bitch, Afam. Better to ignore him. Nothing pains an unwanted child better than summarily dismissing him. |
@Denex, I have so far refrained from dishing it back to you the same way you have done to me on this forum because I hold a different impression of you than the scoundrels named Tornadoz and Afam. But please, do not take my silence to mean an inability to fight back. I feel the topic at hand has been derailed enough and it will bode well if we do not take it further and further away from the goal of the poster. Na wah O! But why somebody go claim say na him make MTV wetin e be today? People like levels O!Now are you trying to be mischievous by this statement or just choosing to be disagreeable. How could one person be the reason why MTN is the leader it is? I mentioned that I personally managed the building of over 100 BTS stations for MTN. Now if you will think back, MTN was the fastest growing network when GSM was first brought to naija and the reason why is that they were able to build their BTS stations faster than the other competion. That was their goal and it was achievable with the help of two major consultants. I worked for one of them, and it is our efforts that made MTN the leader at that time (I don't know what the situation is now). Maybe many don't even know that MTN does not build these BTS stations themselves. While I am not one to boast, I felt the need to say some of these things because of the misinformation many people have about Nigerians who are out of the country. I would have expected you to champion the offensive against Tornadoz for his statement. After his direct attack at my person, he tried to twist the statement that he meant it was just the generality of Nigerians that are into the habit of marrying whores just to obtain legal status in the US. It seems your quest to promote Nigeria and anything Nigerian is all based on what suits you at a point in time. Otherwise, I would have expected you to stand up for those you call your people. |
@Tornadoz, I see you have nothing left of what was once a crack head. Your crack LovePeddler, who is the human equivalent of the praying mantis may have ripped your head off during "mating"(Hint:The female praying mantis do this while initiating sex)Stupid idiot. The female praying mantis only rips out the head of the male mantis during sex and later devours the rest of his body while leaving only the wings. You see what incomplete education/knowledge is doing to you? Your ability to foam out shame and ignorance with every drivel that comes out of that gutter you call your mouth is only second to that of Afam. How could nairaland be so unlucky to be saddled with the responsibilty of straightening out a buch of nitwits! I've never taken your headless person as serious, even more so now. You want me to believe that you not only single handedly set up GSM in Nigeria but was also head hunted by AT&T to transfer your unique technology to America. Who gives a flying f*uck if you're a technician masquerading as an engineer? Who here is interested in your bogus achievement?Stupid idiot. Here again you can not even assimilate what you read. Who said anything about single handedly setting up GSM in Nigeria. I have told you time and time again, stay off drugs, especially those cheap ones you guys pass around along with your wives/whores as a family tradition. Congratulations. You at least know that AT&T is a wireless service provider in the US. But your cracked up head once again made up stories about my getting involved in AT&T, which I never did. You really need to pipe down on the whores you are messing around with. It seems your syphilis has reached such an advanced stage that it is messing up your head too. First you said, I was a taxi driver, and now you talked about technician. Abeg wake up from that drug induced coma. Reality is a better place to be! If you really want to impress me, let your finger do the typing and not your thinking. Your putrid self wants me to believe you attained the highest engineering position in Nigeria before emigrating to work as farm labourer. You are really more stupid than you give yourself credit for. I would be stupid to list my achievement to a walking vomit like yourself. It serves no purpose to me.Me impress you? God forbid. How do you impress a dog? The best thing you can do is throw it some bones and hope that it doesn't turn around and bite you. So what is the highest engineering position in Nigeria? Olodo. Half education don dabaru your head finish. God's grace upon my life is surely making some of you rage with madness. Na just the beginning be this. I just hope you stop hating as you might just end up in Aro if you continue this way. I look forward to the day you take a fatal overdose of your crack medication and your darling LovePeddler inherit's the clitorial cancer that killed her mother.Uuh. So that is how your mother died? Isn't that enough reason to have you guys keep away from drugs and desist from sharing your wives amongst yourselves? I guess your generations' fatal attraction to whores is no different than a flies attraction to the fire that eventually consumes it. Have a nice day Tayo.Oh I will. I surely well will. I would have wished you a good day, but why wish a dog a good day when you know it will eventually go back to its vomit! |
@Tornadoz, I have always debated here with the utmost humility and civilty until now.In your cracked up world, you call the following statement you made debating with utmost humility and civility? "I'd rather stay in Nigeria than going to America and marrying a crack LovePeddler to get American citizenship." If that is what you call civil, then I am not surprised you keep company with people like Afam. It is all personality attack, with no substance or articulation of salient points. Better go to rehab to detoxicate before it becomes too late. Though we can't do anything about your LovePeddler heritage, we can still spend tax-dollars to wean you off those cheap drugs. Oloshi! I see I hit a raw nerve when I spoke of Nigerians marrying crack whores. Its alright if you share your LovePeddler with other people, its another if your LovePeddler share her crack with you and you come here and insult my family.Hit a raw nerve? You wish! I am not the type to wait to give you what you deserve when you can't control your cheap drugs-induced drivel. When you give me the wind, I will make sure you get the whirlwind in return. And why wouldn't I insult your family when you brought my wife into this! I know you guys have no value for women within your family because the only women that have agreed to marry into your family are whores. That you pass your wives around as you do with the crack you smoke does not mean others do the same. Don't get me started you this bag of crack-head. I have in the past treated your post with the profoundest contempt since I've watched you babble nonsensically post after post. If ignorance was a disability, you would have had a pension by now.If my posts are such that you have no intelligent response to them, please avoid me like you are used to avoiding common sense. Your ability to offer no inputs to a conversation while spewing out nothing but your filty guts is not a sign of intelligence. Please stay away as you've been doing before. At least your silence could deceive others that you are wise. If you were that successful in Nigeria why go to America to drive cabs and wash dishes for your white master? You would have to be really stupid to leave your businesses in Nigeria and emigrate to a country where your only option is to work as "mai guard" in some derelict office, you fool. Spending 8hrs in your vomit and alcohol infested taxi I can see why you took offense. That only those who manage to escape to America within your family are the only once who make ends meet do not mean others are like that. Economics is not the driving force of my life because wherever I am, I will make success out of it. I am an engineer who's worked with the best companies in Nigeria. Before I left Naija, I was involved with the GSM rollout plan for MTN and I personally mangaed the building of over 100 MTN BTS stations while working to make MTN the leader it is today in the telecoms industry in Naija. I've been to virtually all the States in Naija with sizeable real estate in Abuja. So you see, I never left Naija for economic reasons. I was doing very well financially. To my stay in the US. Please know that I work as a Transmission Design Engineer in one of the top 100 engineering firms here in the U.S. My first job was with a geotechnical firm for 6 weeks, before I moved to my current company which is within the power industry. I also work as a consultant in my spare time for a telecommunication company. So you see, my lot is not like that of your generation! You have answer to your predicament , you fool. And I pity you because there is no answer for your problem. How do you mitigate the effects of being born by a LovePeddler? No wonder you have taken up crack to help your escape from reality! |
@WesleyanA, anyone seen loose change? I know you have to take everything with a grain of salt and i don't completely accept everything as fact but it makes you wonder about some stuff. That is so right. There are many people out there with an agenda and they just keep feeding the resut of us with bullshit. I wish those who keep holding on to these propaganda will also learn to take the information they get usually from their "Inbox" with a grain of salt as well. |
@Tornadoz, I'd rather stay in Nigeria than going to America and marrying a crack LovePeddler to get American citizenship. So that is how the rest of your family came to stay in the U.S.A. Maybe, say maybe you are even a product of such an arrangement. No wonder your head is messed up. What else can one expect from the bye-product of a crack LovePeddler and a frustrated agbero. Keep toiling in naija as you've claimed to be doing. Perhaps, one day you will know better when your suffering is a little better than your ignorance. I am sure you could never attain to the level that some of us did while in naija, nor can you dream to get to the position that God has graciously given to us today. Your battered psyche can not imagine that others can be so valuable to themselves and by themselves that wherever they are, they are bound to be successful. The location don't make the man, the man makes the location. ![]() |
@Afam, Why avoid discussing the root cause of the problem while dwelling on the effects? Can you please share with us the root cause of the problem? How come the Shiites have a pathological hatred for the Sunnis and vice versa? When did that civil war begin? Please lecture us on the history of the violence between both sects of islam. |
@topic, These poor fellows look like victims of suicide bombing(s). Last time I checked, that was the past time of Islamo-fascists! |
@denex, Your link leads us to a page where we are asked to donate money. What's up? |
@topic, Oya. Wey them constitutional and unconstitutional lawyers on nairaland? ![]() |
@Afam, Seems you are lost when personalities are not the issues here.True to character, you have proved that you cannot provide any intelligent discourse to hold off any opposition to your bias stance. Not once on nairaland have I witnessed you backing up your claims and accusations with facts. By now, your tactics of diverting attention to your hollow postion is becoming legendary on nairaland. Paraphrasing Denex, you Afam should be crowned the Minister of Misinformation (M.O.M.) on nairaland. |
@Afam, Considering the fact that Denex clearly made it clear that I never insulted him and you insist I did you now appear as a laywer that is hell bent on defending someone that openly says he doesn't need your services. In response to your "kind" statement to Denex, he responded with this: lets be honest here. You mean someone anonymously sent you a mail and without confirming any of its content you decide to start a thread on Nairaland. That is how propaganda is transmitted. I did not say show me the whole message. I said, show me any neutral link where I can see the quote by Mr Begin. Afam, you have by this confirmed that your are the one feeding us misinformation "from your mailbox".I guess you guys can continue with your exchange of pleasantries. Meanwhile, we will be around to interject when stories are being spinned around. Still maintaining that Bush did not lie about Iraq? Can someone wake this guy up from this slumber? Is that your best defense? Another sly invectives? You need to learn to back up your claims and so-called 'truths' with facts and not try to force down your vain imaginations and prejudice on others as truths. |
@Afam, 1. That you concluded that my statement directed at Denex was raining of abuses then it is safe to conclude that you are confused yourself. I made a precise comment because I was disappointed that he was asking for a link when it was clearly stated that the article was from my mail box, hence the question that followed what you have dubiously termed raining of abuses. So in your judgment, the statement "Don't tell me that your level of reasoning has become this low." is not an abuse? Okay O. Keep the compliments coming then. It appears Denex appreciates such statements from the lips of some of his fans. 2. This thread has been doing well with comments from many people without anyone focusing on individuals but I guess you find it difficult to discuss issues without focusing on personalities.Me discuss individuals? Common, you know better than that. The only way I may have focused on individuals is if your quotes are focused on individuals. I pointed your attention to the fact that you are not living by the principles you claim you believe in. The same principles which I hold dear and asking others to live by. My posts was not about an individual, but on how an individual failed to live by the same principles that he is propagating. In any case, you are the one that started with the issue of personality by attacking the person of George W.Bush. Instead of dealing with the present danger of terrorism by those who carry it out, you took the opportunity to malign another man's character while hiding behind a false truth. 3. It seems you spend a lot of time visiting Syria owned-newspaper because I did not have to visit any government owned newspaper to write anything anywhere. I asked a question anyway and if you think the answer is in the negative state your reasons. I did not ask anyone to explain where, why and when such statements were made and whether they were works of spin doctors or not. Stick to the issues abeg.Unlike some people we all know, I do not consider spin stories that I receive in my inbox as truth. I plan to verify every information that I receive and if that quest takes me to Syria, so be it. You call that asking a question? What have you done to find out the answer to that question? Or are you waiting for more answers in your famous inbox? learn to sek information yourself and not depend on those spammers with an agenda. I have provided a link with real people working in real companies that were killed on 911. You can always verify their identities if you so desire and tell us if your 3,000 Jews story is nothing but rumours. When the lies told by Bush were exposed for the first time there were allegations of spin doctors working round the clock, today we know better. What lies if I may ask? Was Bush the one who wrote the CIA reports? Was it Bush's lies that made members of Saddam's cabinet believe that Saddam had WMDs and were surprised only after the US attack that he didn't? What about the chemical weapons he used to kill his own citizens and Iranians? Are those irrelevant as well? But I guess what I think on issues matters a whole lot to you otherwise I find it supremely difficult to understand why you have to divert attention to an individual on an otherwise interesting thread with different point of views.Don't patronise yourself. I saw you spinning a story as usual, and I provided a basis to counter the lies you are making public as truth. And by the way, my focus on you was not to abuse you but to quote the things you said. Why are you so afraid of your past? |
@topic, I find that sometimes, it appears some people come on nairaland just to be entertained. To that effect, they do not mind either spinning stories or making up stories just to pas the time. Now Denex, I have no beef with you anymore since I have concluded that virtually all your posts are the result of an over active imagination. That is really good as it helps in your profession. The only problem lies in the fact that some people who don't know you like I do will tend to believe the things you write and I wish you will put in a disclimer at the end of your writings. To others however, I am yet to fathom the reason why they will keep propagating falsehood in the name of rolling out information. While I am not the one to carry over discussions on other topics into a new one, I can't but relate Afam's recent posting to some of the ones he wrote recently. Afam, in all honesty, I wish you will take your own advice and live by the principles you always claim you believe in but it is obvious you never live up to. You recently said somewhere that you are only interested in reeling out information and you are not interested in convincing anybody. Infact here is the quote: I am not the type that believes in convincing anyone, I believe information should be made available for all and let the individuals decide for themselves as regards what to believe and what not to believe. While no one has a problem with that, we will all expect the information you share to be credible just as you mentioned here: Rather than dismiss claims that may appear as outrageous I guess the best line of action will be to try to find out if statements we may not like are actually true because the world will be a better place if we know for sure what is happening. But from earlier discussions, you claim you do not have to verify the things you present as information and you rained abuses on Denex for asking you to do just that. Here is what Denex said: where is your link? Because it was you who first mentioned me in this Robert Fisk matter where is the quote that begin admitted attacking Egypt for the sake of it. Post it so I can go and compare both. And here is your response: Don't tell me that your level of reasoning has become this low. Did you miss out the very first statement on this thread or what? Inbox means from my email box.Since when does anyone become absolved of the responsibility of verifying the veracity of a story they make public as information? Please tell us. And your classic act of misinformation continues by propagating another story from Syria's government-owned newspaper about the Isreali 4,000 absent from work on 911. How untrue can that be. The usual spin doctors turned around a story about the 4,000 Isrealis around the WTC when the event occured, into that number of Jews being absent from work. Una try o. No wonder in your quest to reel out information, you just keep coming up with only those that paint Isreal and the US in a bad light (even when they are untrue). Anyway, for those who care to know the truth here's a link to the facts about the 4,000 Jews that Afam now wants us to believe as good information: http://usinfo.state.gov/media/Archive/2005/Jan/14-260933.html |
@Pillarbeck, Hello, i'm new here. You guys don't know nothing yet. A time is coming when anyone who's not grafted into this great outpouring of God's Spirit would feel very much left. out. For God says in the last day He'll pour out His Spirit upon all flesh.Welcome on board. I hope that is enough niceties to help you swallow the truth that I believe you will find unpalatable. Please read through the prophecy in Joel that you quoted and you will find that the qualifier is ALL! I don't believe that makes it an exclusive preserve of Oyhaks and his brand of followers. What I have seen so far is nothing more than mediocrity and idolatory. If it was the same spirit as we saw in Acts, one of your Pastors will not survive stealing money from his workplace and bringing it as a gift to your your church while receiving a commendation letter from Oyahks. One who even brought his own money and lied about the full price of the land was struck dead in the Atmmosphere that was present in the book of Acts. You guys emphasis on miracles is what makes you easily deceived. So may I ask you one question? Is T.B. Joshua now of God simply because he performs miracles? At least, his "miracles" are known to be more spectacular than Oyahks. Besides, Oyhaks has now copied Joshua with his signature finger pointing. Who els will Oyaks copy? From Benny Hinn to T.B. Joshua! Could Olumba Olumba be his next role model? |
@topic, Humoring what someone said: When God created the heaven and Earth, God rested. When God created the Man, God rested. When God created the woman, neither God, Man nor heaven and earth have rested ![]() |
@Ono, So, far, all of the bombings and terror scare in the UK has not resulted to anything catastrophic. What is your definition of catastrophe? So the lives lost on 7/7 are irrelevant? Until a member of your family is killed before you declare terrorism a catastrophe? Do you realise a Nigerian was killed during the 7/7 bombing, and his mother was seen weeping and wailing on CNN! I just can't believe the writings coming forth from fellow Nigerians here. We don't even need to look far to see terrorism at work. The same muslims driven by same ideology have killed thousands of Christians here in Nigeria. Thank God I escaped their clutches during the mayhem they brought on Abuja by reason of the beauty contest. You guys remind me of the toad who kept accustomed to the gradual rising temperature of the water it was placed in. Eventually, the hot water killed it becuase it kept accomodating the "not-so-bad" rise in temperature. No wonder Naija is still the way it is today. We are suffering and smiling in the hope that tomorrow will be better. How insane! Doing the same thing over and over and yet expecting a different outcome. Una do o! |
@SEFAGO, @TayoDAs long as you are here legitimately, you have absolutely nothing to fear. If anything, I think being knowledgeable of a criminal act and keeping quiet can be taken negatively by the law if found out! I just think the fact that you had theire phone number and could reach them suggests that they can be caught. Had you recorded the conversation and turned it over to the police, those crooks could well be arrested, convicted and punished. That would rid us of a few more 419ers. |
@SEFAGO, I just got a letter (paper letter through the mail) with a check of $4100 claiming I had one this from online gaming. I later called the people ( i LIVE IN THE us) and when I noticed their accent was nigerian I took the check and tore it immediately. I kept the letter and called them. When I called them today and I told them they figured I was nigerian and yoruba and they started laughing. It was funny since I had figured they were 419. The guy on the phone was like 'no shaking, tear the letter and don't tell anyone' and he started speaking pidgin to me.Why didn't you contact the authorities? Had they been rounded up through your efforts, some will at least appreciate the effort of some Nigerians to wipe out this leprosy amongst us! |
@topic, 1 Corinthians 9: 6 Or I only and Barnabas, have not we power to forbear working? 7 Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? 8 Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? 9 For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? 10 Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. 11 If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things? 12 If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ. 13 Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar? 14 Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel. |
@denex, That just goes to show you how maligned your thinking is.Well, we'll see in the near future! |
Denex, How are we even sure these people truly need our help? We don't want the case of Iraq that we'll effect regime change and the people we came to liberate will start killing us.I'm surprised you could use the U.S. as an example positively. I thought you could never find anything good in that country. |
@TV01, If in the church, there is UGE, why cannot women teach? If the only difference is physical strength. and nothing else, why can't they teach?I do not agree that women cannot teach in Church. Again, the context is talking about the family. Let us look at the verses. 1 Timothy 2:11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. the keyword here is SUBJECTION. Like the scriptures teach, a woman is subject only to her husband. Here are some scriptures to that end: Ephesians 5:24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. 1 Peter 3:5 For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands: To make this clearer, Paul mentioned that when He said women should keep silence in the churches, he was refering to usurping authority over the husband by telling the wife to ask her husbands questions at home so as not to be out of other when she speaks in church. In order words, a man can delegate authority to his wife to speak on the behalf of that union and anything contrary to that is against divine revelation. |
