This questn has been rubling my humble mind for a very long time.
Some argue against it on the opinion that it suffers biblical underpinning. That God is enough to rely upon for protection. Yes, i agree that God is d master protector, but does God prevent to d extent of preventing bullet frm enterin into one's body? Does God protect to d extent of preventing sharp machett from dismenbering one's body? The answer, to me, is NO. God only change d mind of d attacher who may want to shoot, machett or harm u wth anyother object. Remenber, whn Jesus was to be pushed from a very high hill, God only protected Jesus by seizing d mind of his enemy while Jesus went on his way.
To me i dont beleive it is wrong given d security situation in Nigeria. There is a general parlance which says a problem shared is half-solved. I want to seek d advice of nairalanders to clear my mystificatn concerning this prayer of a thing. I say my own personal prayer for at most 5 minutes wether i am praising God or requesting something from him, in solem and without any display of accrobaticm. An attempt to extend the length of minutes of my prayer beyond 5 results in me saying what i have said earlier over and over again. Whereas, i have seen people praying for 2-3 hours and even beyond, over just a particular request, emphasizing d request over and over in a lousy voice with accrobatic body movement. So, i want to know if prayers are heard by d length of hours, being boisterous in d course of praying and attitudinal display of accrobaticm. This is because i always feel inconvinient and not genuine in christiandom whenever i see people talking to God for hours whereas d highest length of time i ever exhausted with God personaly is 5 minutes... I'm anticipating contributions...

We Yorubas beleive that we all descended from IFE and regards IFE as our home of ancestral herittage. Variances in yoruba language dialect/assent is what has propelled my tought to invalidate d opinion that we all descended from IFE. IFE dialect is only confined to the four wall of IFE and nt a dialect obtainable in any other part of the yoruba towns. Since it is beleived that the people that situated some of these yoruba towns such as ijesha, ijebu, egba, owo, oyo, ekiti, akure interalia, where absolute different dialects is obtainable are all frm ife, dont you beleive it is reasonable to think that we still suppose to have some set of people that will be speaking IFE dialect in all these towns. To hear ijesha dialect na war, to hear ijebu dialect na problem, to hear owo dialect in ondo state requires meticulous attentiveness, egba dialect self na no goin area. And we re all yorubas believed to hv descended frm IFE. Should we conclude ENVIROMENT to be the factor that influence the deviatn of various dialects frm IFE dialet Contributns will be highly appreciated....
