RobinHez: I just tire o.
its a general issue in naija, where people tend to give more attention to less profitable things/issues. they cant stream a 2-min gadget review clip but can spend hours watching 'God knows what', and thats why we are far behind in science and tech. I think we should devise means and methods to 'forcefully' make Nigerians more interested in science & tech. And how do you thinkthat could be achieved? |

Business › Re: What No One Tells You About Entrepreneurship In Nigeria by tck2000(m): 10:42pm On Dec 18, 2019 |
qanda: It is important to note that being (/b)Entrepreneurial is not all about working for yourself! It is more about a mindset and attitude.. having a problem solving mindset, spotting opportunities, being creative, innovative and a problem solver(b). If you run your own private business, you will need to work with people, enter into partnerships where necessary.
As a standalone entrepreneur, you will likely need to work harder than you do with your current employer to grow your business and succeed. So entrepreneurship is about passion, it is about solving problems. You will need to work hard and stay consistent to succeed. |
Business › Re: What No One Tells You About Entrepreneurship In Nigeria by tck2000(m): 10:41pm On Dec 18, 2019 |
stanliwise: In Addition to what OP has said: 1. Entrepreneurship need an empowered environment which Nigeria seriously lacks.
2. Entrepreneurship is not the necessarily for those who couldn't get employed or are underemployed but rather for risk-takers that has prepared themselves to exploit opportunities.
3. You don't need to start out as an entrepreneur. you could work for someone or company and later go your own path
4. You loose some year of building a normal career path when pursuing entrepreneurship. It is very risky and for those with brave heart.
The second(2) and third(3) is most important which many youth are obviously failing to do. I wouldn't blame them... Nigeria poor administration from inception till today caused it. They didn't give us proper orientation and they didn't give us a workable environment for those already oriented. Apt |

deor03: Does he have the work permit or the right visa to work in Nigeria?
Why is KAI not arresting this guy; street trading is a crime in Lagos?
Is this guy not using gala sale ; as a cover-up for some other espionage?
It amazes me, what usually get us amused; when people are supposed to be asking deep questions? Many hundreds of years ago, our fore fathers were amazed when they saw the white man had their fingers burnt.
It's rather funny that till date we are still doing the-same things all over again.
I suggest you read Confessions of an Economic Hit Man by John Perkins (2004), and understand that that guy on the street of Ojota is doing a very different job, not gala sale Apt |

Izzyovercomer: When we get a sensible President that's not controlled by anyone and has a great taste for quality and zero tolerance for poor performance.
Meanwhile, Nigeria will struggle to work under this unworkable structural arrangement; How can we have a Federal and State road in a State government? Let's every President start gradual restructuring from where tingle his fancy. Let Bubu start his own at least by removing this tag "federal roads and State roads" and increase State government allocation so that every road in all the states will be construed and reconstructed by the state governments as their sole responsibility. I Agree. |
