krattoss: Covert operation of such are made up of SF team whose operations will only be known by top brass officers. The CDS, CAS, COAS and CNS can brief the President of such ops. Others would be informed minutes to a maximum of 1 hour to such ops. Whichever way. Having a mole in the military doesn't mean the operation can't be possible. |

jpphilips: Watched the video. The against terrorism is more than arms. To me, if the military can shekau location and stronghold, you should be willing to let guys die to capture or kill the bastard. If it's about bombing him, then I feel it's better. Problem : civilians casualty. Another option : DHQ should send some SF to carry out a covert operation on him. I'm sure the guy has over 200 men protecting him with technicals and others. Moves. 1) ID all possible threats and plan for them. 2) Covert operation may need airstrikes to come in on his armed guards location while SF rope down from helos OR ATR. 3) insert Snipers into strategic locations and all officers should be equipped with NVG and personal comms. 4) Once you have SF coming in on him, regular troops should be ready to surround the area and support the SF. Alot of aircrafts will be needed for such ops . CH3, MI35, A-JET and F-7. A minimum of two ISR aircrafts should be deployed. Men will die but shekau will be captured or killed. Men die everyday but this will destroy BHT to a good extent. |

lionel4power:Been in Nigeria for some months. I could easily decipher the little sense in him through unnecessary comments. There's something called intelligent arguments. You can share a different opinion without using vulgar language and that will make the whole issue sound great with the wrong person accepting his or her mistakes. However once you've added insults, no one gives a damn if he's wrong or right anymore. It's not just about the conversation again but making sure he drags and embarrass the other person too. |

Anyway.. Since NSCDC needs all these, we should deploy them to face BHT.

olapluto: Different reports. Like I have said until bokoharam release a video. I keep saying it, if the military cannot respond to an attack within 45 minutes maximum in the north east, then policing is very bad. This is the same issue we have with the police force. Response time should be improved. 1 Like |

jpphilips: Nigeria will never accept separist because the same country has crackdown on separist group in its territory. We're not even Russia who can protect herself. Only if our military was well equipped, can we want to play the aggression game. air defence systems? Fighter jets? It's better to avoid a war by closing our borders against the separist group. When the crack down is getting too much, amnesty and the United Nations should be the one to save the people and not us. 1 Like |

cutievik: Military presence was just too stop them from advancing. They may come with soft skins I don't really care in as much as they came with RPGS to disable the damn vehicle. The use of MRAPS in southern Nigeria is however common so we can't be sure of what they came with. Plus the Cameroon military /gandr have been trespassing with trucks no difference. I'm sure the immigration boss made it clear they came with armored vehicle. But who gives a damn? I'm just pissed about defence procurements in this country. Not motivating at all. |

Foreign Affairs / Re: Technical Discussions On International Military Equipments Doctrines Tactics Etc by tdayof(m): 1:20pm On Feb 22, 2018 |
Frumentum: It has potential. Commercial aircraft market is readily available. I'm only concerned about the design as it looks like something for an executive purpose/personal use. If it's something like the Fokker 50/ dash 8 that accomodate large amount of passengers, airliners will find it as a very good choice here in Africa. Could also serve as something good for the military. The issue about military procurements is that it isn't stable. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by tdayof(m): 10:29am On Feb 22, 2018 |
jakeporeshenko: No, a military detachment arrived the area. You wouldn't dare confront an AFV with such. The best he could have done is what he did. Contact the other side while waiting for military back up from our side. The best issue should be a call between both presidency on how to avoid military confrontation. That's an aggressive action. 1 Like |

Xbee007: The Nigerian immigration has been training some officers to counter threats on border. If they had advanced to keep shooting, it might lead to shootouts between the men of the Nigerian immigration and NIgerian customs against the Cameroonian forces. If this had happened between Pakistan and India, you would be counting dead security operatives already |

Odunayaw: When it comes to actions on violations of our territory, I'm not impressed with the way the government is handling the issue. Of what use is the implementation of Cameroonian troops into ops lafia dole? More man power? Then deploy more guys out there and recruit new ones if you think you're over stretched. You induct your troops and then we release the separist leaders. Deal done. Still wondering why we keep playing by their games. 1 Like |

kabe1: You're the dumb one here. Quick to dish out insult without using the little sense left with you. Is combat testing and evaluation of onboard systems only tested in real life combat environment? You want to drop bombs right? You can drop them anywhere. The bomb doesn't give a damn if it's ISIS or a plain ground as long as target is met. The Chinese J-20 has been in service. Was it deployed to fight ISIS? Who do you think you are on this thread? Even if anyone makes a foolish assumption, if you can't correct with the little sense you're left with, it's not hard you keep quiet. 7 Likes |

In as much as releasing the Cameroon separist group leaders aided the integration of Cameroonian forces into OP Lafia Dole, the military should do well by also deploying forces around borders in SS and station some AML or even a T55 around there. We both know how to show force. I know an immigration officer who was in that post. He said if the military was present, it could have led to a confrontation because the army wouldn't accept them shooting into the Nigerian territory but as a para military, they could do less. Talking about man power, he said we had enough armed officers on ground + armed officers from the Nigerian customs. If they had advanced more, it could have led to warning shots. 1 Like |

A video is making rounds on social media in which there was a stand-off between Cameroon’s security forces and Nigerian citizens. In the video, the Cameroonian forces have stationed an armoured car on the Ekok Bridge and firing guns into Nigeria. The borders are conveniently blocked making movement into or out of Cameroon impossible. Infuriated by the apparent provocation by the security forces of Cameroon, the Head of the Nigerian Immigration Post at Ikom, Lawrence Asukwo, said he was experiencing an act of war on the Ekok Bridge. According to him, it was inadmissible for the Cameroonian troops to station an armoured car on the bridge while firing guns into Nigeria. “They cannot bring an armored car closely to the bridge, that is very wrong, that is a war situation. The soldiers are on the bridge, international rule does not accept any operation on a bridge. They are shooting do they want to kill us. We cannot accept the shooting that will kill us on the bridge here. The shooting is into Nigeria and is unacceptable…Don’t tell me that nonsense, you cannot bring soldiers on the bridge and tell me such trash. Let any Nigerian die here you will see what will be the consequences,” the infuriated Asukwo stated https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehJ8kycBYug 1 Like |

4-6 years interval however, alot are still there on their 7-8th year. Advice increase your certificate to like BSC and go for different course at police college. The promotion examination isn't an easy thing also. Promotion is however not always based on the promotion exam always. 3 Likes |
