Is warisboring now bringing out false information?

They should have realized the mi-17 NAF referred to was the one in the video released by BHT.

Boko Haram not behind crashed Mi-17 helicopter – Military

The Nigerian Air Force, has said the Mi-17 helicopter, which crashed during an operation in the North-East, was not shot down by Boko Haram terrorists.

Abubakar Shekau, a factional leader of the deadly group had in a new video claimed his group was behind the crashing of the helicopter.

But reacting to the claim by the insurgents, NAF Spokesperson, Adesanya, said, “The Boko Haram did not shoot down the NAF’s Mi-17 helicopter. If that were the case, the public would have been duly informed.

“The NAF remains accountable to the citizenry. This is why we issued a statement immediately after the crash landing of the helicopter, which was on a routine mission in the North-East.

The above article from Warisboring suggests there are 4000 Nigerian soldiers fighting in the Northeast. Unfortunately that figure is false. There are currently 20,000 Nigerian troops deployed in the Northeast area of operations.
The article says we have lost two mi-17. CC Bidexii

This is very bad. However the state government shouldn't neglect her citizens because you feel you deserve more from the government.

Osun state with a Low IGR boasts of good schools. Delta is a rich state, we should learn to also criticize state governors.

PhonesRe: Nigeria Has None Of 400 Components Needed To Manufacture Mobile Phone – Samsung by tdayof(m):
This news sound so fake. Samsung gains nothing by setting up a manufacturing firm here in Nigeria.

Being in the telecommunication manufacturing sector, I can tell you Nigeria produces components which are also be in used to produce mobile phones. Your fact about Nigeria producing none is a bogus claim and nothing but false.

It's either this story is fake or Samsung Samsung CEO is not informed.

80% of the South African market share can be smaller than 5% of the Nigerian market share.

Bokoharam operated GPMG, IFV, T55 under Jonathan so are you trying to say he funded them?

Bokoharam operated some shilka gun barrels. Was it from Nigeria? No but those taken from Niger. Not all bokoharam weapons are from Nigeria.

Any other information especially from that funny senator is of no concern to me.

Quite possible also, that BH removed the guns and then destroyed it.
All in all, some NA heads need to roll for this whole mess.
Don't you think bokoharam will prefer capturing the shilka good manner and than destroy it?

To Me, I guess it was destroyed by bokoharam or maybe the airforce jet after the troops left.
CrimeRe: White Men Kidnapped In Kaduna; Security Officers Killed (Graphic Photos) by tdayof(m): 11:14am On Jan 18, 2018
You may be a police officer with guns but lack of situation awareness will get you killed.
Moreover, these MOPOL guys have proved to be ineffective in VIP/VVIP escorts protection. Leave the job for the SPU/CTU guys and just do you own work of rapid response/backup.

MOPOL do not know how to handle ambush situations especially when in SUVs. Leave them to the pickup hilux for rapid response and not VIP protections. ..

In my own opinion, it was the NA that dismantle the Shilka, they decided to retreat and not to attack. The Shilka was neatly dismantled and removed.

In the 90's during the peace keeping mission in ECOWAS, the rebel group captured a Shilka and the ground troops know if these piece of military hardware is in the hands of the enemy is capable of doing.

It was later destroyed by the NAF. It's a norm never to leave the Shilka to the opponent.
First picture. No presence of the gun and the shilka was still hot so I doubt bokoharam removed it.
Second picture: After the whole brouhahaha.

My question: it's no doubt bokoharam still held that position for hours even after the ground troops left. Why did they airforce not reinforce for air attack?

frumentius:
Also, look where they established the perimeter after that MI-17 crash-landed.
By the way, personally I'm still wondering what happened to that Shilka. The 4 guns were neatly removed either:
1) by the NA before abandoning it; or
2) BH when they eventually got to the site.
The shilka would have been hit before they got to the site. So in my opinion, the military dismantled it due to the lesson learnt from the past.

A similar scenario happened early 2016 when bokoharam attacked with shilka barrels.

I don't know why but it's a common trend in Nigeria army to abandon hardware when they are overwhelmed.
Leave car to dey run with leg?

Seems I know why. Once bokoharam got to the place where the hardwares were, they stopped advancing. Maybe that's the trick. Get them to focus on big things while you escape.

I don't think the ground troops made attempt to lunch a counter or repell the attack.

The shilka would have made the BHT to retreat if put into good use. They just abandoned some hardware to those barstards.
Why did they abandone the hardware? They could have moved them you know? They left some MRAPS too.

Don't see the point really. People have convinced themselves BH magically appeared at 50m and that mortars are useless.
The main problem is it's obvious those guys had no mortar. Bokoharam has been shooting for minutes before they later advanced.

Government forces could have moved back to launch a counter attack with mortar.

the mi-17 that was seen in the boko haram video was probably nigeria and the same one that crush landed.if you carefully observe the quad copter drone footage of bokoharam propaganda video, you can see dugout Defensive fighting positions.this was a remote outpost, manned by Nigerians and Cameroonians .that helicopter crushed landed while trying to land at that outpost, probably to deliver supplies
You can see smoke coming out from where the Mi-17 in the video landed. So probably that's another helo. Bidexii

THE JETS WERE ATTACKED BY WHAThuh

it's not easy bringing down a 'supersonic' fighter jet (F7) with mere guns. NAF should know that.

Danger close?? what about gun runs and rocket straffing?

so if BH should acquire MANPAD that means no more NAF??

RIGHT?

Do you realize how many aerial platforms that have been committed into this COIN?

ISR should never have left.. a down aircraft is a top priority and all nearby allied units should be tasked to service their needs.

Where's the vaunted mi-35 we all bragged about?

A 10km security zone should have been erected and held for as long as possible.
The mi-35 wasn't sent it. There could have been a reason.

Cameroon sent in a mi-17, the purpose is what I'm not sure of .

Right now, there are 10 F-7 at markurdi AFB so I'm not sure of their distribution. These guys were too close to our troops and so, the use of Dumb bombs is absolutely dangerous. They also need to be in a good angle and fly low a bit low to release rocket which will be a bad idea for a fighter jet.

The best idea for such danger close is the Mi-35/ Mi-24. They would have to come from our guys direction while the guys retreat and fire on bokoharam position.

Like I already suggested, what happened to installing Gatling guns on our EC-135 and AW109?

True that.
Both we both used that possibility in different scenario.
The only one who knows the true scenario of what happened is the ISR platform.

The ISR platform was up there recording every single thing.

What if the Shilka is already dysfunctional and merely dragged to that place as a sitting duck ?

Just educated guessing, bro wink
I made mention of that already.

It's either the shilka has mobility issues and was destroyed by own troops or got hit by the howitzer.

I dont think we have gain so much ground against BH by being that carless...

What if our troops deliberately went to that CRASH SITE with insufficient fire power just to draw out the BH bastards ?

Like, what if it is actually an ISR stunt ?

"PLAY A SUCKER TO CATCH A SUCKER" Act of war by Sun Tzu. Robert Greene also illustrate it in 48 Laws of Power.

What if that Shilka was just a dummy, meant to be destroyed ?

At least now our troops know the following ;

*how very fast BH can mobilize
*how very useless our jets are in close quarter combat between our ground troops and enemy ground troops.
*their new fighting tactics
*their heavy weapons and what it looks like
*their drones capability etc etc

In fact, what if NAF actually crashed that Helo in that particular region just to have a proper recce of that place in the event of our troops advancement in that region ? This last possibility is supported by how the Pilots of the crashed Helo quickly escaped and how our troops quickly withdraw in the face of attack.

Well, am just trying to look at it from a brighter angle.
Or maybe have seen too much Hollywood shit shows.
Bros? It's not possible. An ordinary TOYOTA means alot of that battle field. Yes it's Hollywood causing this cheesy

Military hardwares are only being destroyed when they can't leave enemy territory and the enemy seems to have a better fire power.

It's either the shilka has mobility issues and was destroyed by own troops or got hit by the howitzer.

Come-on, yes the officer assaulted you and you need to take the dash inhuman case up.

However, saying you are paying his salary through tax is wrong. All police officers pay tax too abd he's just an ordinary federal worker.

The only thing you pay for is his riffles and koboko and any other property that belongs to the Federal government.
