If we need fighters from China in few weeks, we will get them. We can even get some used Mig or flankers for now.

you were right ! it seems like the heli made an emergency landing in some kind of no mans land hence the fortifying by own troops when they got there to secure it, maybe they couldnt hold the position without taking multiple casualties so they destroyed the heli and retreated.

There was no way the shilka could have stopped them. If we had mortar, that could have been another idea . The categorically destroyed the shilka from a far distance with the BMP guns. Where did they get those?

Yes. Those jets were under attack and at the same time they couldn't just drop the bombs to avoid bombing friendly forces.

The shilka was hit from a far distance or was either destroyed by own troops to avoid it being captured. The shilka won't be able to move fast so I guess that's why.

The only fire power we had was the shilka. The figure jets were taking defensive measures. There was no way they could drop some bomb under such condition since our jets don't fire guided ammunitions.

In another way. There was no way bht will bring down any of the fighter jet as they were flying sorties high. I expected some rocket fire.

what i gather from it is that the Cameroonians actually got there first, you can see their Mi-17 responding first ( probably to medevac those involved in the NAF crash) at 26:38, then their MRAPS showed up at 27:09 then boko haram sent in the drone, thats when you can see our troops and the Cameroonins setting up defensive positions (digging trenches and all).

I said it from the beginning that it's either bokoharam attacked the position. Seems NAF jet was providing cover for Cameroon helo.


Plus, it seems the soldiers escaped.

There was alot of issue there. Enough mortar fire would have seen bokoharam backing out. Those guys were armed with shilka and MRAPS with guns.

For bokoharam to have assembled in that huge amount to a very close location to the military, then what the heck is the ISR team doing?

See here's the problem. If you don't have a guided ammunition, you'll have trouble dealing with this guys.

They had some guys whose work was to fire at the fighter jets then making the pilot making safety moves. They had some guys dealing with the ground troops. It wasn't a fair fight again. Seems the troops escaped as there was no dead body.

It's the same position no doubt. It's a very bad thing the airforce couldn't attack that same position back. The f-7 seems is a damn fast aircraft.

Hours of attack on position, the 76mm cannon was also used along side other gun trucks

After watching the video, I can tell you that same position was attacked by BHT. They spied the military position with drone and then launched a huge attack on them.

This incident happened after the picture released by NAF. That was the best time NAF could have attacked BHT and make them suffer huge casualty.


There was a presence of a-jet and F-7 before the commencement of the attack.

We can’t say that yet, the clip they rolled at the end featuring destroyed equipment could be from 2-3 years ago, the shilka in that video has a different camo from the one in the pic released by NAF

Look at it this way. NAF released a picture of the aircraft down. We have a shilka parked in that vicinity.
