Then they invade us?
What are they trying to achieve?
Exactly.. The whole issue makes no sense. Invading our territory to arrest some separist members.

The Nigerian military has no excuse for this. I'm not calling for clash between the two countries but presence of the Nigerian military personnel should be at such tensed location already.

AH ah dude please, stick to posting pictr e this topic is beyond your cognitive capabilities. Dude said tough on Cameroon, you are very funny .
Common sense tells you. If it was OBJ, will you tresspass.

You can do no damn thing if we do not release them. It's about common sense. It's not about who has a better military capability.

Deployment of soldiers to such area would stop you from advancing into our territory in as much as no one will want clash between the two government forces.

We arrested their separist leader and still gave them to the Cameroonian government.

We should at least be tough on Cameroon.

PRESS RELEASE
RESPONSE TO ALLEGATIONS BY AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL OF NIGERIAN AIR FORCE HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSES IN NUMAN

1. The attention of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has been drawn to allegations by Amnesty International of human rights abuses reportedly committed by the NAF in some villages around Numan, Adamawa State on 4 December 2017. In the first place, it is very unfortunate that a highly respected international organization such as Amnesty International would make such unfounded allegations. At no time has the NAF been involved in settling any “herdsmen-farmers” clash in the Numan general area, as alleged by Amnesty International. It is particularly disturbing that an organization of the stature of Amnesty International would believe a ridiculous story that the pilot of an aircraft flying at a high speed would be able to distinguish between a herdsman and a local farmer before deciding which one to “bomb”! Indeed, at the time the NAF intervened in the crisis around Numan on 4 December 2017, there were no 2 distinguishable groups clashing. Rather, only one group of hoodlums was seen unleashing mayhem on villages near Numan. The NAF remains a highly professional organization, which places high value on respect for human rights, and therefore categorically states that the allegations by Amnesty International are lies. In actual fact, the intervention of the NAF in the Numan crisis of 4 December 2017 resulted in the successful dispersal of a group of hoodlums who were setting some villages around Numan on fire.

2. To set the records straight, in the early hours of 4 December 2017, a NAF Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) platform departed Maiduguri to conduct ISR over Numan general area. This was in response to a request by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Armoured Division of the Nigerian Army (NA), following reports of clashes around that location. Hundreds of people, mostly dressed in black attires, and who appeared armed, were sighted ransacking and setting a village on fire. In addition, the hoodlums set large portions of farmlands ablaze. Furthermore, some of the men were seen guiding livestock out of the village. Consequently, a NAF aircraft was called in to support the NA and other relevant security agencies through ‘show of force’ low-level flights. This was aimed at dispersing the huge crowd and thereby stopping the ongoing carnage. After several low passes, the crowd was undeterred and refused to disperse. Rather, the assailants started firing shots at the aircraft and continued in their dastardly act of burning houses within the settlement.

3. The aircraft therefore had to fire shots ahead of the rampaging crowd when it became obvious that they were heading for Numan to inflict further damage. Sequel to the NAF’s intervention, the hoodlums started scattering and fleeing to a nearby bridge. Other low passes were conducted by NAF aircraft over the area to prevent the regrouping of the hoodlums around Numan and other villages. It is important to state that the hoodlums had set several villages on fire and much destruction had taken place before the arrival of NAF aircraft. Nevertheless, the intervention of the NAF proved decisive in putting an end to the hoodlums’ rampaging activities. At no time did the NAF Spokesman identify the hoodlums as herdsmen, as the pilots could not have possibly determined the identities of the hoodlums from thousands of feet in the air. Additionally, the NAF Spokesman has never revised the accounts of the events of the day with any media house.

4. It is significant to note that without the timely intervention of the NAF, nothing would have stopped the huge mass of hoodlums from burning down Numan, where they were obviously heading, if not prevented by the NAF. Had they succeeded, they would have killed several individuals and burnt or destroyed more properties. It is better imagined how many more lives would have been lost without the timely and wise intervention of the NAF. It is the responsibility of the NAF to defend Nigerian lives and the NAF could not have simply watched while lives were being taken and properties destroyed. It is regrettable that Amnesty International never made any attempt to find out NAF’s account of the events of the said date before making its allegations. The report by Amnesty International is therefore deemed to be unfair, one-sided and apparently aimed at embarrassing the NAF. Clearly, the NAF will continue to sustain efforts at ensuring security within the nation and will not be discouraged from discharging its constitutional responsibilities of protecting the lives and properties of all Nigerians. Overall, the NAF wishes to state as follows:

a. At no time has the NAF been involved in settling any “herdsmen-farmers” clash in the Numan general area.

b. The NAF, either with its aircraft or by any other means, did not set any villages near Numan on fire on 4 December 2017 or at any other time.

c. NAF’s aircraft was not used to kill anyone in the villages around Numan during the crisis of 4 December 2017.

d. Amnesty International should produce credible evidence to substantiate its baseless allegations that NAF air attacks led to the destruction in the villages as well as loss of lives, failing which it should go to the press and retract its allegations.

OFF TOPIC

Afghan Air Force pilots recently had another leap in capabilities: they employed laser-guided bombs from their A-29 Super Tucano light-attack aircraft.

We can do this with our F-7.

NAF wants that aircraft and they'll get it, while they wait they can implement stop gap measures in the form of UCAV's that can eventually complement the A29s in combat.

Nigeria, Iraq, KSA, UAE, Pakistan and Egypt all fly various Chinese armed drones already so i guess they are combat proven.
At the height of insurgency, I don't know who suggested unarmed drones in favour of armed drones.

Talking about the Yahbon.

From my pint of view this will never happen in a thousand years, the decision has been made years ago and it is final, now the only thing left is negotiation between MOD and the US government.
We no even want. From frying pan to fire.

NAF should stop that damn order and reconfigure A-jets to drop laser guided bombs with the designation of the Beechcraft aircraft.

We can use the $494m to order for more jf17. We can wait till 2020 for the jf17 which I'm sure if NAF gets serious with it, we can get them from 2019 by putting orders through china just like Mynammer.

So... um, you could probably trivially scrape Strava and thus identify individual runners and routes. What I'm saying is, you could identify just who made those tracks in Rutba.

Alot of operators id should be visible already as you can trace the ID of whosoever owns the route.

This doesn't seem right. The navy doesn't have any other SF unit apart from SBS?

After watching the video, I can confirm that it's just the normal way of proposing things to just be in the news. grin
So they need to start inviting every command and review which one is the best. grin

Abeg, I know most of the senators don't even know there is something called special boat services. So leave MOD/DHQ alone to select.

I guess I was right to doubt the location; however, I still maintain that it very rare to deploy women in actual combat - for obvious reasons.
Yes it's rare but it's not so uncommon.

Yes we can only speculate for now; however, even as we do, it is also a worldwide rarity for women to be deployed to the battle front for active combat.
We have women deployed to the battlefield too. Most of them in NE are actually on humanitarian etc but some also go on patrols.

The above video is after a course at jaji cantonment. The topic is false.

Lol at the indi... media , I have always said they don't have fuuccking clue , and it show remain so otherwise who will provide the comedy grin

Regarding the technical capabilities in support of SF and civilian ghosts there r near comparable to the best . In some respects even better. I cannot tell u more and leave it at ur discretion.

Few days ago 2 Saudi fucckers and 1 indi.. fuucker decided to switch on their satellite phone , instantly it was detected and they were caught. In a big country if one can detect a satellite phone being switched on and then triangulate it position instantaneously , it says much about the capabilities. But technology does not wait so one needs to keep up.

Until there is a single operational command for all SF , they will continue to suffer from bureaucratic delays and stupidity with regard to arms etc procurement.

As for satellites the indi.. media fuuuckers wants the SF to broadcast their classified info , lol at the fuuuckers guess they never heard of opsec .

And the indi.. media fuuuckers will be doing a disco dance if they came to know that pred.... was being used at some point of time and maybe even now from inside the country grin
Does India has a total coverage of the country when performing SIGINT?

Is SIGNIT performed to target a specific location when needed or a total coverage + the use of artificial intelligence in electronics warfare detects unusual signals?

India media seems okay. They can at least differentiate between a fighter jet and an helicopter.
