Souljaboi1: Baba, I want in ooo
Demfas is looking like the new Raytheon Company of Nigeria. Raytheon. I love that company. Have met with some of her engineers at an AOC conference. lionel4power: for real?
specs? Specifications will be tomorrow. I just reminded today and decided to post. We've been on the project for almost 5 months now and everything just finished. It should be updated on the company's website tomorrow so I'll copy from there and paste. Odunayaw: Oboi!!! Yes bro. Demfas Aerosystems had a meeting at the state secretariat Ibadan and was covered by press too with some demo. I'll let you know once the press releases something. |

Someone talked about BHT using drones. Well if there's need, Demfas Aerosystems now has a response to that.
Range is up to 1200m

EmekaBlue: If you are talking about INTELLIGENCE...we shouldn't even go there...d NA over lack that because its headed by dull northern generals..they cant dislodge boko or even catch Mazi Shekau or locate chibok girls after years! I think south africa would have done better Sorry to burst your bubble. South Africa hasn't finished dealing with rebels in DRC not alone terrorism. |

EmekaBlue: You see, like I said *with the same weapon power* they will finish the nigerian army. Even with what they manage not well armed than NA who even have air support, they still manage to pose a big threat and have being slaying NA...then imagine them with alot of tankers and air support. Bro, there's something called rules of engagement in a democracy era. That's applicable in the war against terrorism too. If we go to war against the Chadian troops or Cameroon, we will level them over and over. You've seen the Cameroonian navy flagship? They won't see NNS Unity and Centenary coming on radar. Their alpha jet and helos will be brought down by shilka or our obsolete ADS. Fortunately for us. We're to receive high tech military aircrafts this year. Their ground Troops/assets will get marked by our ISR and our CH3, and others will lighten up the area. We also own military satalites. Man, in west or Central Africa, don't mess with the Nigerians, Senegalese and Ghanians in a full scale war as these countries will lighten you up in three ways: Air, naval and land. |

SSBN nice point.
With the JF-17 coming in and the a29, we will be formidable enough. Electronic warfare is something I strongly advise the Nigerian military to work on. Imagine the Nigerian airforce with the khibiny jamming pod ? Let say, the jf17 performing SEAD or we having an airborne platform with such role.
So let imagine the JF17 performing SEAD on the Cameroonian Air defenses while our ISR platforms being escorted by the A29 search for any thermal signature from the Cameroonian side. The A29 can be used to engage enemy position while the JF17 engage critical assets deep into Cameroon territory.
In short, even with a good electronic warfare capability France will be really careful. |

BlackBaron: Square pegs for round holes. Mexico and Brazil are not dealing with ied threats rather they got cartels and gangs. I'm implying that vehicles for carrying troops in the North East are adapted for their environment than Toyota. Anywhere else in Nigeria, Hilux are good and solid workhorses for the armed forces and security services. It'll be foolhardy to waste limited resources on replacing them when we don't need MRAPs for non mine related conflicts.
Well, as said by you, the Americans used it for equipment not ferrying troops. Nooooo. Read my message again. Trucks were carrying the American equipments. Which includes pickup trucks like our our Toyota. Those pickup trucks also have chairs to carry troops. They're for troops and nothing else. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by tdayof(m): 9:30am On Aug 20, 2017 |
Henry240: The Hilux will not be taken out of service. That's frankly impossible. Richer countries such as Mexico and Brazil deploy them in their own COIN/CTCOIN ops. Even Russia deploy Pick-ups in Syria.
However, with the new additions of MRAPs to the AOR, we expect to see a more acceptable ratio of MRAPs to Pick-ups. Even US. i saw a video of trucks transporting US equipments to Fareja few days ago. Pickup were among. |

jakeporeshenko: Let’s see what Block 3 is gonna be like Defence.pk claimed JF17 block 2 is on the same category with the JAS gripen while the F16 is higher. However, the block 3 which will be flying next year will be on the same class with the F16 block 52+ You can go through their tweets. They replied questions on the JF17. The Jf17 block 1 was actually the test bed for their air to air refuelling.

If you don't own a submarine withing blablabla, I'll say don't bother. Now the navy is interested. We don't need to develop to gain a market share. We can for our military alone. Eg DRDO projects only few other countries use DRDO products. |

National Guard means they'll have military training and then hold some heavy military hardware. Only a government agency can have such capability. |

Henry240: In August of 2017, the one vehicle which we all have been waiting for, was finally launched.
Exceeding our wildest expectations and the 4th country in Africa to build them.
The Thunder MRAP, a 19 ton monster was handed to the Nigerian army for testing. The Nigerian Army currently has 9 units on order with Guinea also expressing interest according to reports. Nothing bad with that vehicle ground clearance man. Anyone if free to disagree. Those are professionals building that vehicle and so far NA is satisfied, that's it. |
