If the minister didnt fix it during his tenure, why call pastor Chris when there are more rich and influential people from the area. EFCC should send the case file to DSS for investigation. The DSS will turn the man in based on the outcome. The navy cannot go and arrest a former Chief of Army staff in his house without first clearing with the army authorities otherwise the soldiers on guard are ready to die there. There is need for mutual respect by these agencies. This does not in any way prevent justice from being done in the long run.

Drama is currently playing out at the home of a former Director-General of the Department of State Services, Ekpenyong Ita, as men of the DSS are preventing operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission from arresting him.

Our correspondent who is also at the scene, reports that EFCC operatives arrived at the scene around 11am with an arrest warrant.

The EFCC officials and armed policemen numbering over 50 attempted to enter the premises located at 46 Mamman Nasir Street, Asokoro but the heavily armed DSS officials, some of which are wearing masks, refused to allow the EFCC men inside.

The DSS officials simply said they were acting on “orders from above”.

Ita has been under investigation for his alleged role in the disbursement of funds meant for arms.

While a former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (Retd.) and other service chiefs have been arraigned, the DSS has refused to release its own officials for probe.

The DSS and the EFCC have been at loggerheads for over a year which culminated in the DSS sending a report to the Senate not to confirm the acting Chairman of the EFCC, Mr. Ibrahim Magu.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Governor Willie Obiano of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) as the winner of the November 18, 2017, governorship election in Anambra state
According to INEC, Obiano defeated two major opponents, Tony Nwoye of the All Progressives Congress and Obaze Oseloka of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to clinch the victory.

As earlier projected by SaharaReporters, Mr. Obiano of the All Progressive Grand Alliance received a total vote of 234,071 to finish ahead of Nwoye of All Progressive Congress who got 98,752

The Governor won with a big margin in key areas of the state including Idemili, Onitsha, Orumba, Ihiala, and Awka.

Mr. Obiano also won in Ogbaru local government, the local government where PDP’s Oseloka with a total vote of 6,615 against 3,415 votes got by Mr. Oseloka.

Mr. Willie Obiano who has been receiving a mixture of praise and criticism from his first term as Governor will continue to drive the state until November 2021 to complete his two terms in office as Governor of Anambra state.

Meanwhile, the gubernatorial election experienced massive vote buying and a low turnout of voters. This made local and international observers conclude that the election was not credible because it was based on who had the most money to spend.

I dont get your idea of incumbent. Dont forget that if the incumbent brings out the money from the state, the party at the federal level also brings money to support their candidate from Abuja like happened, as alledged in case of Fayose. In a notshell, if you ask the incumbent gov to step down, that gives Abuja complete dominion to outmuzzle other contestants in favour of their candidate.
