false contractions which is preparing you for the real day,real labour pains don't go away.About the cold you can take hot tea and try to keep your self warm and if he does not go away ,you need to see your doctor.

This pregnancy was the toughest for me,I hardly sleep well,seeing that I needed the baby to properly heal from the death of my mum and mum in-law I hanged on. I started ANC early I never missed my appointment,getting closer date was picked but I wasn't comfortable with it reason I can't explain. Some weeks ago we changed the date to 28/3,I went to the hospital got prepared and went into the theater after some minutes baby was delivered, his cry was loud enough.



Waking up Dr told me that upon opening me up he discovered the cord was almost strangling the baby of which no one knows how long it has been there. Within 3hrs after the birth he started changing color if the oxygen is removed because he was placed on oxygen as the near strangling might have caused shortage of oxygen in his system. He was monitored for 24hrs with no improvement rather he was having fast breathing with noise and his heart was as if it will jump out of his skin,we quickly took him to LifeLine Children Hospital Surulere but unfortunately we lost him on the way to the hospital. They said he had congenital heart disorder which if the surgery is successful the chances of living a normal life will be near impossible. I can't question God all I ask is for strength to move on with the leaking boobs and baby things staring at me and no baby to use them. I have questions but no one can answer me.


I pray we will not cast our young,no pregnant woman here will carry pregnancy and not nurse the child.

Good evening my mother's, am in my 21weeks but I notice that since last week Saturday 26th of this month my leg swoll up a bit and up to this moment my is still swollen . I had to place my leg on the pillow if my leg will actually go back to my normal leg but it doesn't work. When I told my sister about it she said it so early for my leg to have swollen up. Plz my mother's am getting worried about it .

Hi sis, seems like I know perfectly what you are going through.
I had an excruciating headache during my second. I've never had that kind of headache till date.
I complained to my doctor and he told me that it's part of my preggy package. He said I've got to endure and wait it out as there's no medication that can stop it. He also added that I can't just take any analgesic because I'm pregnant.
I took to his word and endured. It finally gave way at 17weeks.

Whether your doctor prescribe malaria meds or sent you for lab test, if after doing all and it still persists.... please, try and endure it.
Stop ingesting more tablets which aren't good for your baby.

Eat, drink enough water and take plenty rest.

You should try specialist hospital at okpanam, I hear fmc refer cases there. Their wards are very neat and nurses are nice too. Aside a few test, every other thing is free including CS

Not all the general hospital in Delta State, infact some general hospital in that state need to be closed down especially that otor- udu general hospital, in udu local government.

You just need to pray that u don't have emergency at night otherwise the outcome won't go well, they don't have nepa light even their generator is not functional.

I lost my baby boy there early this year when my wife was delivering,I just thank God that my wife didn't follow, the story would have be horrible, I wanted to take the matter to court but my friend said I should forget about it.

Good morning mamas. Hope we're all doing well. So I'm 8 weeks preggy and a few days ago I started spotting. Did a scan, but the doctor said it's still too early to know if anything is wrong and to repeat the scan in two weeks time. No drugs or anything was give , he only prescribed bed rest. But I'm getting worried as the spotting has increased slightly. Please is it possible that my baby is still fine with all this spotting, because the doctor said it's "threatened abortion".
