General hospital in Delta state is free o. From pregnancy till your baby is five years old. Free health care. All through till I was referred for my first, I never paid for anything except buying of gloves cos of Corona..... And the matrons attending to us during antenatal are so nice and patient. At every antenatal we go through almost all the test, if not all. Delta state is trying in that aspect o.

Till today I am still looking for my incision site. I walk around in my house with my bare tummy and my cribs still doubt that I birthed my lo with CS.
I was delivered of my baby on a Wednesday, starting walking the next day though not easy and discharged on Friday. It added to their confusion. They expected me to stay more days. Lastly my stomach is so flat now even when I don't use girdle.
Good technology is good biko.

same with mine, no stitch line, flat stomach as before I got pregnant without any Tommy enhancement. If I don't say I gave birth through CS. You won't believe it.

I gave birth to a bouncing baby girl on thurs.
EDD was 12th Jan but baby decided to come 20th Jan. Mother and baby are fine. BS coming soon.safe delivery to all pregnant mothers.

Anyways for what to eat, reduce your salt intake if possible avoid it all through, avoid processed/fast food and eat healthy lots of veggies and fruits, no coffee, tea and caffeinated drinks

You should be atleast 4weeks gone from last menstrual period not 2 weeks gone, you should see your Dr asap also so you can be closely monitored

God is the giver of all good gifts and the baby will carried in good health, sicknesses and diseases in pregnancy have no place in ur body in Jesus Name, divine health strength and vigor is yours all through your pregnancy by God's grace

Congratulations Sis, There is nothing to be worried about sis, just relax your mind, you and baby will be fine

how long ago did you have the last/previous CS? as far as i know if it is below 18months interval between last cs and next conception, most Dr's will opt for cs for delivery according to them to avoid uterine rupture, but from 18months and above you maybe considered for a VBAC (vagin.l birth after CS).

for the preeclampsia, i would advise you start working towards prevention this time around as there is a risk of having it occur in subsequent pregnancies ( not your portion again in Jesus Name), but work closely with your Dr.

I remember my DS was always making sounds when breathing and always seemed like he was struggling to breathe. As a ftm then, i was worried. Like u, i stayed up at night watching him. Sounded like his nostrils where clogged and couldnt breathe. He didnt have catarrh though it sounded like it.

As a ftm, if Ds even sneezes, ffiiaammmmm!!! i'm at the pediatrician office. So u can imagine the speed i used to reach the pediatrician's office when i heard him breathe like that. She(the pediatrician) had to ask if i was a ftm, i said yes. She smiled, probably thinking "no wonder" in her head. She checked his heart sounds with that their thingy, and assured me it sounded clear and its normal for him to sound like that due to their tiny nostrils that gets easily congested by irritants or smells(powder, silverbird, perfume, spray or any strong smelling substance in the air). Said to keep the room ventilated and prop his head up when sleeping.

So i opened windows, and put an almost flat pillow under his bed to prop it up(not placing Baby head directly on a pillow). Her advice didnt stop me from running back to her office two more times on the same matter cos most times, it seemed like he couldnt breathe again. She'd check his chest and assure me its still clear. She said, as long as the can cry, they can breathe. A child that cant breathe cannot cry.

DH was frustrated then cos i wouldnt listen to him telling me our baby was fine. I'd just cry that he wants our child not to be okay, but it won't work for him.. Lol. Ped consultation was 10k and u all know u pay for each consult. Thats to say i had an angry hubby to deal with each time i returned with "the doctor said he's fine report" hahahaha... But i didnt mind dealing with that. Better an angry hubby than a sick child.

Less i forget, it didnt stop immediately, DS still sounded like that and regurgitates his food, i just had to wait it out. Now, my DD does same, as a semi-pro(#winks��) i just prop her up and wait it out.. Loool.. But this her skin problem is a first for me, so am really worried about that.

Thanks so much, I would just watch and pray she outgrows it soonest.
And about your DD skin problem, hopefully solution would come soonest.

Yes, he had this. We kept using silverbird for him and several hospital visits till a doctor told us to just watch it as it might be an indication of breathing issue which will show up later. We realized he's asthmatic(mild) by the time he clocked 2years. Apparently, that was the cause of the laboured breathe. You can still hear his breathing if he sits beside you especially during cold weather and night time.
You can see a paediatrician to examine her so that you can feel better about it all.

I'm not a Doctor yet, so I've limited knowledge in situation like this..It's better you take your baby back to the hospital for further evaluation... It's not life threatening but it's highly uncomfortable...Pls take that baby to the hospital.

pls what do I do cos I get to situp every night just to watch her breathing.

My first baby had this challenge. Unfortunately, the doctors said there is no cure but to manage it till the baby out grows it which is usually around when they are 3 to 4 months old. What I used to do was to make sure that he took small feeds intermittently and ensured that he burps. Also, I wouldn't leave him out of my sight and if I did, just for a few secs. It was tough but we survived. Infact, I always had his head tilted up a bit when he's asleep so that he won't choke on his vomit which almost happened twice if not for timely intervention of the nearest hospital.
Being my first, it was a challenge and didn't make introduction to motherhood all rosy but today, he's 7years old and doing great. Pls Mamas, pay the sacrifice for the short time and watch the situation resolve on its own. You can join a group called 'Ask the Paediatrician' on Facebook for real time answers to questions like this from qualified paediatricians. This issue was discussed there and I read through recently only to realize that I wasnt alone then and neither are you alone now. You've got this mama.

1st June I went for my usual antenatal appointment and while the matron was checking bp, they noticed it has risen from the usual 100/60 to 160/110, and my urine has double plus protein in it which according to them was a sign of severe preeclampsia, they then gave me an injection on my hand to stabilize the bp and I was referred immediately from general hospital to federal medical centre as they said my bp has risen to 170/110 on a second check and baby has to come out cos that was the only solution.
I called hubby and we headed to FMC. We got there and they checked my referral note, checked my bp and saw that it was still high, the doctor had to explain to hubby the situation on ground and the actions they would take to save both mother and child and hubby agreed for whatever to go ahead. In less than 2hours they started giving me injection upon injections to mature the baby's lungs and reduce bp a bit as she was just 34weeks and I will be induced after maturing baby's lungs and bp has dropped a bit.....
Fast forward to 4th June the head gyn/obg came to inspect my file and said no need for induction that I will be operated on. I bust out crying begging them to let me try the induction as I have always been scared of c-section. That was how they agreed to induce me and after 4hours I was only 4cm dilated without any labor pain, my doctor had to come break my water to make labor pains come yet no pains and baby was already feeling tired with her heartbeat dropping. That was how I was wheeled into the theatre and baby was brought out screaming at the top of her voice. Even the surgeon was asking if I was sure of how old my pregnancy was; due to the size and sharp cry of the baby and to the glory of God baby was sent to the neo natal unit for accessment and certified OK after all the scans and test was done except for little jaundice which made her to stay under phototherapy for 3days.
We are back home and everyone is doing fine.
