urgent!
pls help me. I just found out my incision site is bringing out little blood after one week of c/s. pls what do I do as the doctors at federal medical centre are refusing to attend to patients without emergency case due to a case of a patient on covid-19 isolation

BA!!! Good morning sabi mama's, team July bye bye o. went for emergency cs @ 34 weeks on 6/6/20 due to severe pre-eclampsia mother doing fine, baby at neo-natal unit for monitoring. Be coming later.

Birth announce and Birth story.

My EDD was May 10 but because I was opting for elective CS, I joined Team April.

January 31 after Eating one sweet porridge Yam, I noticed I felt wet. I entered the bathroom to check, immediately I pulled my underwear, a large pool of blood poured. I was rushed to the hospital where it was discovered I had a total placenta abruption.

Dr. Said she has to do an immediate Csection to save my life. I was only 25 weeks and 4 days (6.5 months) pregnant. My baby was brought out weighing 748grams.

As she laid in her isolette and the doctors not giving any hope, I cried to God, begging him to save her and pledging that I will share her testimony round the world. I said "please heal her and make her testimony draw souls to Christ."

God had mercy on us. He saved her. He kept her. He gave us a song and His words in John 11 VS 4 which was my prayer did not fall to the ground.

We were told the 1st 24 hours were crucial. The hospital where I gave birth has a low level NICU and so she had to be airlifted to another hospital. They were not sure how she will do on the flight but God kept her.

We had a tough start.
She went through:
1. 9 initial intubation trial
2. PDA(An open hole in the heart) which closed after ibruprofen therapy.
3. NEC Suspicion(perforation of the intestine because of its immaturity.
4. 8 blood transfusions
5. 41 days on the ventilator
6. We later moved to CPAP another breathing machine. A total of 43days on CPAP
7. She was moved to regular Oxygen. She didn't hold up well and went back to CPAP. She was tried again and it was ok. She is off all support.
8. Uncountable Xrays and ultrasounds
9. 2 MRIs.

God saved my baby. I totally depended on God and pleaded with him for mercy. My heart was in shambles but God gently put them together. I drew comfort from God's words and knew I could not give up. I said this bible verse everyday

We had a great team at the NICU(Neonatal Intensive care unit) who God used to take good care of my daughter.

After 108 days, I got to take my daughter home.

It is time to tell the world about the Miracle call Eloghosa. We spent 108 day in the NICU. At discharge she weighed 3.7kg. Is God not good?

Her name means It is not difficult with God.

God is Awesome.

Team July, let the countdown begin, my belle just dey sweet me, my fellow teamies hope we r done with shopping, he just dey do me like say tomorrow na July. May God provide for us so that we can get d best for our little ones.

I yaff started counting o cos third trimester nor be joke o, sleep na past tense, peeing at night is almost every 20minutes (don't know if my vjay is leaking) and my thirst for water na something else, I can finish a bag of sachet water in one day.
As for shopping, I am done with hospital items and bag packed, just few baby stuffs remaining for home use and those ones can come later after baby arrive. just can't wait for July to come.
Amen to ur prayers too.

For body care sets, you can't really know what's good for your baby.
For my first I used aveeno shampoo for bathing which I like but couldn't use the cream because it's too thick for hot weather. We resulted to using shea butter as cream and coconut oil as oil for hair. When I started using Johnson oil, our hair scrapped. It's original Johnson oil because when he was older we used the oil from head to toe and nothing happened.

For my second, I bought boots set. The soap it's okay but just always have a feeling aveeno treated our skin better but that's what I can get for now. We used jimpo ori as cream and coconut oil for hair. When the coconut oil finished we tried boots oil we got rash that covered the face the following day.

My point is that natural oil soothes their skin better.

For diaper angel has been my best option from the ones I've tried. Never used virony and finrose.

I am glad to announce the birth of my Sonshine who made his grand entry at 7:30PM yesterday weighing 3.25 via Ecs. Baby is fine, mother healing while dad and older brother rejoicing.

I gave birth to a baby girl via Viginal Delivery.

I was not induced or giving anything, the contraction keep coming and going until i went to labor for 4hrs and she came.

I dont have any infection so far. All test Came out Negative

She's presently at the NICU. I wish i can just close my eyes and open it for all these times to pass away!

I dont even knw what to type, All i need is your prayers. Please there's no one here with us, Except me and my husband alone. I'm depressed and in pain and anxiety. I dont knw why she came early, Allahu Alla'm!

I think what you are experiencing is Braxton Hicks and it's normal, just preparing you for the real deal. You can read up on it on Google. Stay safe mama.

I'm presently on admission

I went to the hospital to check why's the baby not moving and the heartbeat. The baby was beating good. But still not moving, she was monitored for more than 1hr, all same. I did series of test and the doctor said i may go into labour soon. I'm worried and sad, my husband as left, I'm only here on admission to monitor if I'm still having contraction and heavy discharge like draw soup (dont knw the meaning ) the next 48hrs. They gave me steriod injection to mature the baby's lungs and some drugs if she's going to come and to be on a safer side it's midnight now, cant sleep and i have bn crying. I need your prayers please

so sorry ma'am, pls stop crying and start declaring what u want. I believe God will see u through with testimonies.

My pregnancy started as an easy ride to the Glory of God, got my BFP 4 or 5 weeks after wedding. Morning sickness came at six weeks and lasted till 14 weeks thereabout. I had different Edd's varying from 18th to 21st to 25th to 27th but I decided to go with 21st. I was able to work through the pregnancy, took bike through bumpy roads to and fro every day yet God remained faithful. Fast forward to 32 weeks, I did a scan that showed cord around neck, reported at my clinic and was told all was well. At my 34 weeks appointment a doctor saw me and told me I needed to be worried cos I was having painful contractions too. I did a doppler and it showed all was well. However, from 35 weeks I just started having negative feelings and at times I won't feel the baby move for hours. I would tell my husband and he would say I was worrying abou nothing. Due to the corona virus pandemic, the last clinic I attended was at 34 weeks I think. My hospital closed antenatal and were only attending to emergency and labor cases. At 36 weeks I started taking ewedu and chewing 4 dates daily in my mind to prepare my cervix. At 37 weeks plus 1 day, I started having very painful menstrual cramps and I was excited that labour was beginning to start. Two days later I went for scan as I felt there was reduced movement and I still had painful contractions. Scan showed all was well with baby and cervix still closed and my husband was like I told you. That night and the night after I had serious Braxton Hicks and didn't feel baby move all through so I decided to call my doctor that Thursday morning. She told me to report to the hospital immediately, keep track of the movements and keep an open mind regarding CS. We went to the hospital, I was sent for a doppler which came back normal but I was still having contractions, however that particular doppler showed that I had a slightly elevated amount of amniotic fluid. Cervix was checked and was closed so I was admitted to be monitored for contractions. Fetal vitals was checked all through till the following morning and I was to be discharged. The doctor that was to discharge me came around to check fetal vitals and discovered fetal tachycardia. He immediately told me to prepare for emergency CS. He called my husband who had become very scared and told him the things to do and forms to sign. I was moved to labor ward, fetal vitals came back normal again so they strapped me to a CTG machine. It kept showing normal vitals till about 3 hours later when the heart rate started going up and coming down dangerously. I was moved to the theater 12 hours after the first diagnosis was made. While in the theater the devil struck, first spinal anesthesia failed, I was told if the second failed I would be knocked out. Second one was successful an the operating table gave way after with my head almost falling and all the doctors had to quickly grab me. Procedure was successful to the Glory of God. Baby came out screaming his lungs out at 9:11pm weighing 3.2kg. Spinal Headache lasted for days and in all I'm grateful to God for this bundle of joy.

First of all, I want to say thank you lord for the journey, after having a miscarriage(5 months) last year april 20th to be precise, the devil wanted to work on same date this year, all that can go wrong during this pregnancy did, from having threatened abortion to having to go for emergency cerclage at 24weeks, to premature contractions almost every 2weeks, including managing diabetes, in fact this God is too good. At some point I will be scared if my baby will form well and come out very strong and healthy, but in all,I thank God.


April 17th I went for normal antenatal, did urinalysis and went for vitals... My normal bp of 120/80 went up to 170/100.....I was really concerned, although prior to that I had already started secreting mucus plug, my gynae sent for my husband immediately and told him I need to be under close monitoring and if my bp doesnt go down I will be taken to theatre the next day...oga went mute throughout that day, I prayed, called my parents and even brought it here, my parents said if the form isn't signed by my husband they will sign it if it can be mailed to them and so it went on, he didn't say a word, gynae asked for mother in-law, she didn't show up, on Saturday 18th I was told to report morning afternoon and evening to check my bp, it was getting worse infact after the nurses check the doctors will check to confirm and it will even go higher, I was told to go and bring my bags, I waited for hubby to come but he didn't say anything when he came back, mother in-law later called a matron that night to seek second opinion and she was told cs is the only way out to save mother and child, my parents were angry with me that I'm playing with my life cross of hubby and in-laws, in short inter-tribal marriage get as e be.
To cut the long story short, I tried to rest after all the worry but I couldn't, on Sunday around 4am my head was banging and I knew my bp must have gone higher than it was, I didn't wait for hubby I just picked few stuffs and was heading to the hospital to my greatest surprise he followed me and even helped me carry my bag, on getting to the hospital, bp was checked and it was reading 200/120, nurses and docs were shouting, everyone was confused. The next 10mins I was checked again and it went to 210/130, it was just going up, my gynae had to call 4 other doctors from UNTH, I was told we need to deposit 60k for them to start but hubby was no where to be found, I was checked again 220/140, the doctors arrived really early and they decided to check it was 240/130, my gynae said I should be moved to the theatre immediately that we have suffered so much during the pregnancy to loose it when I was just few days to hit 36weeks cos of money, before then I called mother in-law that his son has left me to die and she came in few mins b4 I was moved to the theatre and that was it.

First anaesthesia injection didn't work, I felt the pain when they cut me, after giving me the second one I fainted, I heard voices of people calling my name and snapped back, but then it was as if my whole body went numb including my head, I tried to speak, like I was shouting within me but nobody was hearing me, it was one of the docs that saw my face and said I was dying, I was just shouting, I can't do this, I'm dying, I'm going, God help me and b4 I knew they fixed oxygen to my nostrils and that helped me to breathe well and in few mins I heard my baby crying, hearing her cry just took away all the pains and turmoil, she was cleaned up and showed to me cos I didn't check gender b4 her birth and that was it.

I was stitched back, cleaned and moved to the ward but couldn't speak or talk to anyone until later that evening.

The devil came again baby's glucose level was 12 and that was very low, she was given formula and glucose since I couldn't even move cos of the anaesthesia, all of a sudden baby began to choke, my mother in-law was shouting for help, in my fragile state I kept on asking for my baby but no one was answering me, I managed to pray for God to save my child and give me complete joy, unknown to me they were reviving her with oxygen for 2 straight hours, I couldn't move to look for her cos I'm worried and head is banging, at the end of it all, God did it for me and we are fine, Protocols were broken for my sake and God proved himself mighty.

I am grateful to God for everything and we are 1 week today, treating jaundice though but I know God is working, thank you to all that advised I go for the cs, for all your tips here and to cappo, thank you sweetheart. I have to drop my pen here so I can sleep now that princess is sleeping.

so sorry teamie, I only know of an old folks way of healing boils which has works for me my entire life. I hope it works for u. just get a Bic Biro cover or something that can visibly show mucus or oil from ur ear and rub on it and the boils would vanish in two days or less. ( has always worked for me and everyone I told).

In fact the kicking these days eh. I feel mine no matter how I lay. I had to put DH's hand last night and he screamed, 'Where is he/she going to?' I was just laffing. I enjoy the kicks o and can't wait for them to be harder.lol

mine is a strong ajebutter, she only kicks when she wants ( don't even know what triggers her) for days she will be on a low key (don't know if it normal) and return fully reenforced.

july mamas how are we doing?

So last week (Tuesday precisely) I decided to do some cooking immediately after that I started feeling strange and I decided to have a cold bath. na so cold start and next thing I couldn't breath well, I quickly called my hubby and couldn't even talk well ( guess he sensed trouble) and in seconds he was already at home ( thank God covid19 made him not to go to work so he was just around the area). that was how I landed in the hospital and was admitted after few checkups and doctor said it was acute malaria and before evening I have already taken 2drips with about 4 injections and same for Wednesday. By Thursday I was back to normal but they still needed me to rest till Friday and was discharged with advice to rest.
Prior to that, baby was no longer smart and moving as she was the previous day at anc and i was told to go for scan after which i was told baby is fine and doing OK.
Na so I use opportunity check baby sex and am having a pink bae XX.
Now I can't wait for this covid holiday to be over, so I can start shopping.

Good evening belleful mamas, I registered for ANC today(edd 12th August), after collecting my urine they discover glucose in it, after doing little chores or trek I spot , if I dont rest on time I will begin to bleed, after explaining to the doctor, he said I need pelvic rest(no sex) for some time, on reaching home I told my husband and he said the doctor can't tell him when to meet with his wife, am seriously weak I need advice on how to go about this.

Dear ma'am, I will only share my view and pray it works for u. I advice u pray before speaking to him again. Explain to him y u need to adhere to the doctors advise. and possibly ask him if he would be happy seeing u in any detrimental situation as regards your baby and u. let him understand u know how he feels and how this means alot to u.
And if possible promise him u are gonna give him a treat when u can fully take charge of your body again.

hello ma'am, though am a first timer and still waddling but my mum says there's nothing wrong with it as u won't be able to do that when u are fully big plus I find myself in that position too.
But if still scared just go for scan as advised by mummy4life. enjoy the moment and happy ending to us all.

Just stick to your LMP, its normal for Edd to change as pregnancy progresses. This is because baby may measure days or weeks ahead hence making the edd change.

pls what could be the possible reasons for change of Edd. am in my second trimester and already have 3 Edd. firstly it was 22, then 13 and then tuesday after my antenatal I went for scan as advised and it says 8th. is it normal?

Yes ma'am. HMO really save my family from extra expense. I can visit hospital anytime or do any test without worrying my self about the cost because HMO will take care of it.

I've spent a lot on medical before now but HMO saved me and my family from extra expense. Infact, my hubby used the same HMO to do operation last month for correction of vain that caused low sperm count(I've forgotten the name jor).The operation, test and drugs would have cost him(250k).

sorry to bother you but can u enlighten some of us ( especially first time mums starting a family) about this HMO thing and how to go about it.
