My statement was ''all CRS score of 451 after July 21, 2017 won't recieve ITA''.
Elfmann said before. I said it is after and not before.
You are saying all profiles created before July 21 with 451 will receive ITA.
So we are saying the same thing in different ways.
@ysteph my friend,

I wasn't particularly quoting you, I just wanted to clarify the tie breaking rule so that our new members (especially those in silent mode) can understand it in simple terms. cheesy

BTW, you were actually right about the tie breaking rule explanation. God bless you.

Tie breaking rule provides that all profiles created ON or BEFORE July 21, 2017 at 07:01:28 UTC with CRS 451 will be invited to apply for Canadian permanent residency.

Newmum0615:
No be small. These people are not joking again.
Congrats to the few that clinched ITA after today's draw.

However, like I had previously noted, which some of our landed fore-bearers have also stated...The Canadian express entry is getting popular by the year..This express entry program was upgraded in 2015 and with each passing year since then, the Canadian immigration authorities themselves are getting to understand what they want from the program more and understand their own internal processes more hence increasingly shortened processing time lines.

On the part of applicants globally, more and more people are getting to hear, know and understand the Exp Entry system more, hence young and well qualified applicants with great IELTS scores are increasingly diving into the pool and thereby keeping the scores in the upper range.

Now, how does all these affect us?

Like @newmum and others have expressed here today, CIC is not joking again, they understand the popular appeal of their program globally amongst immigrating countries and we shouldn't either. This is June and ITA is still hovering in the 440 and above league...it's not a laughing something any longer!!!

We need to do all that we need to do (and fast too)- prepare deeply for IELTS, ECA (2 or more certificates), do fast track Masters, anything legit just to get the required score to grab an ITA...you don't need more than ONE ITA for you and your nuclear family. grin Let's stay FOCUSED and keep the hustle on...it's important if you reeeeeallllly want this thing, the way its going now, MAKE HAY WHILE JUSTIN TRUDEAU'S SUN IS STILL SHINING! Nobody knows what next year holds!

Fine, agreed, CRS cutoff will drop again, but nobody knows for sure, you can't predict CIC. Let's look at the big picture and trend since the beginning of 2018 till date, CRS hasn't come below 440, what's the fate of many (friends that I know) who desperately and genuinely wants to get their young kids outta this toxic space?...

I can only pray for all everybody who really, deeply and passionately needs to exit, your ITA will drop soon.

UPDATE

1. @ethelia et al

My "additional document" placeholder has popped up. Thank God.

2. @newmum, @GS et al

I used the opportunity of my ineligible profile to change my NOC on my new profile to one that closely reflect my job description more (similar JD but different NOC code and job title). Should I raise a LOE to explain the change of NOC in the "EMPLOYMENT RECORD" placeholder? (My ineligible profile still warehouses my previously adopted NOC while my active profile has the more succinct NOC)

I appreciate you all.

Try Internet explorer/mozilla firefox. It also happened to me. For the Schedule A and refusal notes, maybe sneak them with your passport (after the passport pages undecided)
Thank you...your advice is so apt!

I was thinking along that direction also...If the ADDITIONAL DOCs placeholder doesn't eventually pop up, the Passport placeholder will be ok to sneak the Schedule A and refusal notes into...as back PDF pages on that upload along with the datapage, visa, stamps and refusal passport markings being at the front.

It happens sometimes. There should be a separate placeholder for Additional document / LOE something like that. Try logging in with a different web browser, hopefully it will pop up (unless they have changed the system)
The placeholders have been generated for me since 29th of May (public hols that afforded me time to populate it carefully). Since then, I have logged in and out more than 4 times...No extra placeholder popped up.

BTW, I'm using chrome browser as suggested by a friend here..and I have upgraded my Internet...quite fast now!

I'll try again, if it didn't show...I'll put the LOE as cover page to the specific category (I doubt whether I ve more than 3 LOEs to submit anyways)

But where can I upload my upfront Schedule A along with my UK refusal notes if I eventually don't get the additional document placeholder?

You can upload your LOE in the placeholder the letter is addressing, say an LOE for work experience can be uploaded in the work experience placeholder with the work reference letter and other docs. OR you upload your LOE in the additional document placeholder. I did the former and had only schedule a form and its LOE in the additional document placeholder
Thank you @chizilulu

I get you but the thing is I didn't get an "additional document" placeholder when I finished populating the profile forms.

I got placeholders (upload option) for:

1. Police
2. Medical
3. Education
4. Marriage
5. Work experience
6. Proof of funds
7. Passport
8. Ditigal photo

And something similar for wifey too.

I can't find any upload option for additional document. Could I have filled something wrong at the profile forms stage?

Schedule A form is not entirely complusory. Some applicants with previous visa refusals submit it upfront and upload it in the Additional Document placeholder cos some VOs have been known to send ADRs for them. The same info you provide on the schedule A is already requested for on your post-ITA application, but sometimes when something is not clear, I presume, then the VO seeks for clarification and ask that you upload one. It contains info about your parents, education, personal history, visa refusals, affiliation to professional organizations and the military and other security details. If you want to fill or get an ADR for it, then you are to submit for you and your spouse.

God bless these beautiful souls...

Thank you. Incidentally, I have previously filled the form for self and spouse with SINP and though I knew it to be a federal form, I just wondered where it comes into the EE- PR equation here.

As we both have UK refusals, I will fill it upfront and scan into our general LOE placeholder then.

BTW, I didnt see a placeholder for Letter of Explanation (LOE). All I have are placeholders for specific documents and same for wifey. I thought I was supposed to see a placeholder for "general" LOE? What may be happening gangan?

Merge the POF LOE with your POF docs. Let it be the 1 st page. The general LOE should be uploaded in the additional doc placeholder. Other specific LOEs should be added to their specific docs and uploaded in the right placeholders.

It's a known trend that has been discussed severally in many fora...IELTS tests in no particular order come served with different difficulty levels- ranging from basic to moderate to hard.

I believe my test of April 21st fell somewhere between basic and medium difficulty level.

From the general reports here, this last test seems like one of those test days where the level of difficulty is hard.

Not a day I'd love to show up at the test centre. angry angry

Please I urgently need the customer service email for WES. I wish ti send them a mail to cancel my BSc evaluation and evaluate just my MSc.

This is due to the frustration from Uniuyo. First, the said fire burned down exams & records unit in 2013, later they said an armed robber invaded my department and stole files while the Faculty is now saying they can't find my file.

With all the money i've spent from one officer to another.

Kindly assist. I hope this wont bring any issues with WES.

Regards,
No email address. You can either reach them through the "CONTACT US" page on their website or tweet a DM at them @WESCanada

In the alternative, search this thread for a post on how to withdraw a credential from the list of credentials previously listed to WES for evaluation. I saw that post some weeks ago.

In my opinion, I think it's better to raise a CSE. If you think they'll send ADR and instead they end up rejecting your application altogether?
OP @naijismyown

I concur with @rosepetraa.

Be proactive by sending a CSE attaching all the sibling documents on the strength of what you seen in your GCMS notes and back it up with a detailed explanation. Don't bank on getting an ADR that may turn out to be a refusal...that's a gamble you can't afford!

I would suggest trying to get a job in the area of finance you would love to pursue in Canada first before considering taking a diploma. Some organizations pay for you to take certain professional exams required for the Job, and also provide training. I have seen cases were companies offer to pay for the candidates CSC exams which is a requirement for the job. Depending on the part of Canada you are relocating to, you can take advantage of the bridging programs offered by settlement agencies at little or no cost. In my opinion, for finance related professionals just arriving Canada, taking a diploma or another Masters program should be a last resort after exploring all options.
Thank you @remiaig for your thoughts.

But really, I am a bit confused with the conflicting vibes.

1. Why are some folks in the prairies stucked on transit jobs? (They will most probably be professionals in Nigeria before relocating either through PNP or FSW- Agreed, most don't want to go back to school or don't have the resources to pursue that venture and just feel comfortable earning the cash from transit jobs) What is the underlying issue(s) here really- no/scarce professional jobs, advanced age disadvantage, no Canadian education, etc. Could the situation be similar in Ontario?
cc: @papaking1 and others, can you kindly explain this scenario further? some of us are curious!

2. I also read that you need to get the Canadian education and experience (maybe through school internship)...since most international students seem to be having headway in this regard.

3. Now, my friend @remiaig said a diploma or masters should be the last resort of a finance related professional...how does this landed PR finance professional get his own headway "assurance" job-wise? Except you say the post-arrival settlement trainings and internship (plus the pre-arrival trainings he has done before departing Naija) will suffice to get him started and landing a job in the interim...at least maybe an 80% assurance.

BTW, lets use Ontario as the landing bus stop for this hypothetical finance professional PR bros.

Other landed seniors abeg, please weigh in, as very important as information in this regard is, it is few and scanty for the most part

Thank you.

Very apt and on point @Salford1...all what you said are nothing but the facts..i mean everything.International students from Nigeria without even the PR and still on work permit after school don't look for jobs...they are the first to be absorbed even before the back home experienced loaded Nigerian PR holders...so true.
@gentleiphy,

Thanks for the heads up. Some of us will be landing as FSW PR with prior post-graduate and professional qualifications (which I know count for little in Canada).

Talking about getting the Canadian education (to aid getting a decent professional job role), for instance, will it be adequate for a finance person with prior MBA to re-do a full finance MASTERS degree or just take a DIPLOMA program that is tailored for the job role he intends to pursue in Canada

It directed me to the PR Application forms.

I was filling up "personal details" and filled up to the last part "relatives sub-form" and when I clicked on "SAVE AND ADD" so I can populate for others, this error pop-up came up- "appendGrid does not initialized" and I couldn't save and add nor proceed.

Please, has anyone- both present or former applicant" experienced this? How I can I resolve it please?

Canadianhopeful:
yes, we paid her upfront plus application fees. She didn't ask for medicals, just ECA and ielts
Madam, the new upgraded express entry started in 2015 and from your chat, if memory serves me right, I think you said you started the process in 2016...Hence, what folks are telling you about the Express Entry procedures here are extant (ie very current and active for your case) and I presume that should also apply to your 2016 application.

Please, probe deeper and know the truth...one sure way to know what to ask for is by you to first of all, understand the express entry process and all that it entails. If your fears eventually gets confirmed (ie that you have been duped), please by all means, help yourself by "doing it yourself". You are a graduate, you can read and more importantly, you understand English as you will still pass IELTS. So there's no biggie to it, just create interest and time and take it step by step.

NB: Over the couple of threads previous, I have seen people with more zero knowledge of the express entry stagger into the threads, who came crying about their travails in the hands of agents (before they discover the express entry threads) and went ahead to get PPR- doing it step by step- WES evaluation, IELTS, ITA until their PPR dropped. Literally from the scratch...zero knowledge. You too can do it!
