tresbel: Bless the Lord with me people... I am free from IELTS. Actually told myself it would be the last whether good or bad. I had planned not to check my result till evening because my previous three attempts had me crying all day in the office and I end up having a bad day, but anxiety got the best of me. Test day I got confused during the map section which left me unprepared when the next section began (Matilda n co). I counted 9 questions I wasn't sure of and I gave up and even started planning and gathering docs for Nova Scotia PNP.
1st attempt LRWS: 7.5,7.5,7.5,8 BC 2nd attempt LRWS: 8,7.5,6.5,7 MOD 3rd attempt LRWS: 8,8,6.5,8 MOD 4th attempt LRWS: 9,7.5,7,7.5 BC
Only God could have done it. I have been a silent reader on this thread and I've learnt so much; I joined cochtrane's webinar for Listening after my first attempt. God bless you sir. I have gotten most of the requirements ready except PCC and medicals. If you are still on the ielts journey, don't give up. I know it's easy for me to say now, but it's the truth. Pick up from the last try and push forward. Besides, I think MOD writing is stricter, I think I wrote better essays in my second and third attempts. I ran back to BC since I did well at first attempt even being not so prepared. It's just my opinion though. Thanks to all the beautiful contributors here; you guys are the best. Plus I enjoy d drama too. Congrats on your eventual IELTS success birthed by sheer grit and determination! That's the spirit! I kinda concur with you on the bold part above about MOD. I wrote IELTS 3 times, though I got the result that I needed on the 2nd attempt. My writing test with MOD which was my last attempt returned a band 6.5- guess what, it was my best "writing" of all the 3 attempts whilst the first two attempts with British Council delivered band 7 on each occasion...and to think this MOD writing is a queer reoccurring matter leaves a bad taste. I pray ITA falls on you soon bro. NB: My MOD test returned: LRWS- 8, 8, 6.5, 7 (I can understand the frustration, the disappointment and the thought of going back into the trenches again for many here...wow) I pray for those writing and re-writing the IELTS that everything-the weather, the difficulty level of the test, the state of your body and mind, time usage etc- will work in your favour to make it your last attempt IJN! happytbaby: Teecann; I think we have lost each other somewhere . I saw that quite alright, there was another person's post or something, that made me talk about the 'review required' issue. Yes, I know his fund is higher but I also know that they pick the amount you filled on the EAPR and note it on the GCMS . I was pointing out that it may be the reason the VO seemed to have backed it out.
Point is this; if you filled 26,000CAD (as amount available for relocation on your form) but then showed evidence of 40,000 CAD, they will not be proving that you have the 40,000. They will be interested in the amount you need, they will confirm that you have 26,000 and that the 26,000 meets the amount required for the number of family members, in which case the additional 14,000CAD may not enter your GCMS notes at all, I have reviewed notes for people and noted this. That is why I said he should check what he filled so that people can put their minds at rest that pension funds are okay.
Pension funds is a source of comfort to many people so when an issue comes up saying this might not be so again, it is important to thrash it out. wow! This is good to note, thank you @HappyTbaby, we are learning about this process everyday. I get you better now and learnt something new. In another scenario, if one quote CAD20,000 in ones e-APR and submit proof for CAD35,000 and part of this CAD20,000 has to computed from the RSA, I'm sure the needful will be done. That's the difference in @Guitarlife's case, he/she had excess so much that there wasn't a need to touch the RSA is satisfaction of the proving the figure quoted in the e-APR. Thanks for sharing my good friend. It will end in praise IJN! |

Guitarlife: Yes I did a tabulation. I suspect the case analyst probably did not bother to check my RSA since I met the POF requirement already with my bank account statement.
Maybe if my fund in the account statement was short he could probably have checked the RSA too.
Cos I used stanbic statement and Crusaders pension statement and the only thing mention in my POF recommendation was stanbic statement nor reference to crusaders pension statement at all.
Also my funds did not stay up to 6 months o, altho I added a staff statement of account showing regular inflows . See them... Too much POF effizy...you dey show yourself to CIO, shey?. Good one though! I guessed as much so that that may have been what happened in your case. @HappyTbaby was also right about your matter. It will end in praise IJN! |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 4 by TEECANN: 2:33pm On Jul 10, 2018 |
happytbaby: My Dear Guitarlife; may I ask if you did a table to summarize all your funds? The VO might have erroneously missed it.
Review required does NOT indicate that something is wrong , it is something like a junior officer has reviewed and the senior officer is also required to review. If something is wrong; it will not be stated as 'review required', it will be clearly stated that funds available does not meet the requirement (something like that). Hello, If you look again at @Guitarlife's post, she said that even in spite of the omission of the 25% RSA balance from the POF computation by the VO, his/her POF still scaled through (obviously her POF was in excess of the required LICO for his/her family size category). So, the GCMS note will still have reflected "review required" for POF i.e everything was OK inspite of the RSA sum being removed from the list of his/her funds to be assessed for POF purposes. Just hazarding a guess here, we are not there, so we really can't say what happened at CIO, but reading recent PPR declarations (as recent as this last June 2018), folks here still said they used their 25% RSA to boost their POF and they got PPR. So,no shaking as far as I'm concerned, I think we are still good in relation to the usage of 25% RSA balance as part of POF. It will end in praise IJN! |

vickmor002: Good day my people, Please I will like to inquiry something and will appreciate responses on it . 1. Is it mandatory that a gift deed must be average of 6 months before it will be used as a POF? 2. My biological mum have promised to give me a gift once I get my ITA, please will it have any negative impact on my PR process if I use it as my POF once gotten just after ITA? 3. I have a diploma of two years and a degree of 3 years, please can I use both as TWO OR MORE CERTIFICATE OPTION? 1. No. That is why it is a deed of gift. (A deed is a legal document backing up/legalizing the act of another person's magnanimity in gifting you anything valuable including money.) If the money had been transferred into your account directly without a gift deed backing it up, it would have been tantamount to "unusual sum deposit" that will attract a red-flag. So with a gift deed, you are covered, time of gifting it to you is immaterial. 2. No. See (1) above. 3. See other posts for detailed explanation on this. It will end in praise IJN! |

GlitteringStar: It depends on you. Despite the fact that I didn't claim points for the work experience, I included the LOE because I wanted to play safe and to avoid any ADR. GS, That's very thorough of you. What will you make out of this scenario: Job experience spanning from 2008-2016 (8 years) with 2 years part-time MBA in between (2012-2014) that job experience. Meanwhile, in filling the profile, it was declared that the MBA was achieved part-time... Is the above scenario capable of reducing CRS while the application enters processing? Your thoughts are appreciated. Merci Dont forget: Processing Officers at the CIO recalculate your CRS (re-checking each of your factors) to ensure that it is enough to get ITA during the draw that ITA was given to you. @Reasonabledoubt, what's your profile creation date? Nice point. ...and nice enquiry from @reasonabledoubt regarding his profile creation date. Assuming @reasonabledoubt has a profile creation date of July 2017 or older, he can wait on the next 2 draws (hoping that the tie breaking rule in a worst case scenario will work in his favour) after which if the cut-off doesn't drop to favour him, he can then elect to re-mark. Congrats to the spanking IELTS results that I have been seeing here ALL DAY (I dey envy una ooo, See results, maka why? You dey make am do me as if make I go re-take the test sef, for bragging right sake! ) To those who almost clinched it, several of our family members here in pages previous, have said alot to encourage you and keep your focus from dimming on the goal...it is a marathon ooo, this hustle is never a sprint...the steady and consistent carries the day most often! Indians get to do the test 9-10 times on a regular (speaking to an average Indian's tenacity and staying power)...as it has been said of our educational system not to be top notch with global best standards, we hardly see that type of experiences here...most folks here get a hang of the test by a 2nd-3rd attempt, we ain't doing badly comparatively on this immi-joni. I wish everyone needing to re-take overwhelming success in the next attempt. For those going the EOR route, favour for upgrade and standard turn-around remarking time for you. I’m wondering if I should go the remark route. 7.5 in writing gets me to 443, this new score puts me at 440. Wait for some 3-4 draws and watch, you may be lucky, cutoff may crash and favour you at 440. If after the wait, the cutoff doesn't come down to 440 and below, you may then initiate an EOR hustle. I am a live example of your scenario.. my friend, in this journey, no hurry ooo, just follow the 3 Ps- Prayer, Patience and Perseverance...and it will end in praise IJN! |

Sandydav: Even if there were lots of PNPs, thought PNP gives you 600 points? I don't quite understand this draw with the tie breaking rule of July 2017, nobody with such highscore should have been in the pool since then. it's possible. Take this scenario. I created my profile July 2017 and as at then, my CRS stood at 415 Since July 2017 till May 2018, no CRS had fallen to below 415 mark. I suddenly had time in May 2018 and re-took my IELTS and bingo, I smashed IELTS with "sha pra pra" band 9. I updated my profile and I shot up to 451. Today, June 13, I jejely lands an ITA. So, you see! It will end in praise IJN! |
