tizzdi:How sir? I no be God na ![]() But I can assure you of one sure thing.....guess what? It will end for you in praises IJN! Believe, don't give up and "your own will end in joy too" |
Kemzyebony:Ahaha...submitted ke? I hope to submit by July ending (What about you?) Taking my time to arrange an error proof application. It will end in praise IJN! |
flosk:I understand you fully and how you feel... My initial score was similar to yours before I re-sat the exam for a better score and by extension better CRS. In my case, I even had a detour to the PNP path before returning back to the FSW. You can imagine the time that had been wasted in the course of that alone. Just dont give up the dream, take it in easy steps and you will achieve your #CanadianDestination ultimately! It will end in praise IJN! |
flosk:Madam, this is not a bad score by any stretch of the imagination ooo! Abeg, don't be pissed with oga o. You both need each other to encourage each other on in this journey of patience. It's a marathon, Trust me, I know what I'm saying. You are lucky he even accepted to register and write the test. You need to read several reports here of wifeys who will give arm, leg and do vigils to convince their dear husbands (DH) to sit for IELTS or evaluate their credentials in order to boost CRS. These men are scared of leaving their sweet pay and certainty and jump on a ride into uncertainty. "8777" IELTS maxing out is not the minimum, people strive for that golden score nowadays in order to boost CRS in this era of high-end draw cutoffs. If other factors such as a Msc, age, french test, sibling in canada etc are in place, an averagely good IELTS score will just be OK to do the CRS magic. It will end in praise IJN! |
Abefeolu:If you can afford the time, remark (12 weeks minimum ) If you can afford the dough, in addition to the remarking, book another test. From your scores above, it's obvious that you have an above average competency level. So it's going to be a win-win for you- if lucky, your remarking (EOR) may yield a 7 for your writing whilst at the same time, you obviously have the capacity to do better at another sitting...See, it's a win-win (if you have the resources) By the way (BTW), what's your current CRS with the above score? What will it be if you have a 7 instead of the 6.5 in writing? Is the above score your first attempt? It will end in praise IJN! |
Kemzyebony:Sisterly.. ![]() The countdown and documents hustling have begun in full swing. ![]() It will end in praise IJN! |
ysteph: Aig842:Hmmm...my people my people Suffering and ![]() What do I know? Let me come and go and hustle my documents. ![]() It will end in praise IJN! |
maternal: Alberta without a doubt. If I knew what I know now (I sound old) I would have never step foot in Ontario. I always tell newcomers to come to Alberta. The opportunities here is unbelievable. To answer your question, if you plan to be a geologist, Alberta is obviously the place to be with the oil being here. I currently work in the oilfields along with many Nigerians. My guy is actually a geologist. Though I don't know how to get certified. I would suggest to do the certification here (in Canada). Nothing done in naija would be trusted. TheCongo2:For an accountant/finance person, will this Alberta choice over Ontario still holds sway?? Because we have heard it so often here- Ontario is generally expensive in cost of living whilst Alberta is way better off. Will it be true for an accountant to relate to this is the same light as a geologist or petroleum engineer in Alberta especially as in concerns getting multiple opportunities for finance jobs? It will end in praise IJN! |
mcstan18:Well said my friend @mcstan18 So true for the bolded above!! I'm in the same international whatsapp groups with these guys and I'm like "how do these people scale IELTS with these types of constructs?" Obviously, they are marked more leniently than us in Naija. I can't forget one day that I replied to a message on one of the whatsapp groups that I'm following and the Indian guys there began to pass humorous comments like "why am I reproducing IELTS reading passage for them...that my chat read like a passage from IELTS Reading test" ![]() Can you imagine?? Common day to day vocabulary usage in Naija amongst secondary school students oooo....see me see wahala....and above all that, they are the ones declaring stellar results on LIZIELTS blog....it's just so unfortunate!! But one thing is certain... It will end in praise IJN!!! |
TEECANN:IELTS- IDP (MAY 25, 2018) L- 8 R- 8 S- 7 W- 6.5 ![]() IDP, like seriously?? I am beginning to believe folks' opinions about the possible lack of total honesty of test organizers in Nigeria. I verily suspect it is fast becoming a big ticket business for these guys- BC & IDP and they are not ready to let poor us off the hook any time soon!! It is just so unfortunate on multiple grounds! Can you imagine after paying 68k for the test, only to dole out 15k/45k for re-marking again?? These people should fear God oooo!!! I feel the pains of all my people here who got great scores in listening, reading and speaking only to be disappointed with the writing test...Honestly, there's something fishy here. How do you want to explain it that someone got 9, 8.5, 8/7.5 in L, R and S...and now that same brain got a 6.5 in writing? It doesn't make sense! It will get to a stage we will proceed to Benin or Ghana to write IELTS so as to get objective marking...at least, over there, let's hope they are not yet infested with everything wrong with our "system" here. I'm so upset...I read all the great scores in the previous pages...those scores were supposed to be great ITA CLINCHING SCORES now marred by dubiously marked writing test. IDP may have tainted my "rep" with a 6.5 for whatever it's worth (Never happened before, BC wont even try it...we are talking about "writing" here oooo ) but hey, you cares? God has done it already! All the same, It still ended in praise ![]() NB: Guys, lets keep the hope high, it will happen soon! (We may have to open a public petition against the grading of the test by IDP in Nigeria and get the petition across to IDP Australia for necessary action) |
sunvick:My bad, bro. Update effected accordingly. ![]() Meanwhile, I'm sure the PPR testimonies for you and amiable @newmum are just around the bend. Quote me, it's nearer than you think. It will end in praise IJN! |

ITA RECIPIENTS- MAY 23, 2018 @Tippex @clock89 (no time )@wizean @doyinwbaby @kemzyebony @deesmama @ChyG @extraterestrial @Sunvick @QSola @TEECANN Congrats to all of us today (Let me know if you are not included in the above list) We appreciate all our well-wishers too! The next PHASE is ending in praise IJN! |
philip3: ..Guy, you don't understand- trust me! ![]() It will end in praise IJN! |
ITA CAME HOME TO DWELL TODAY!!! PART 1- IELTS (BC)- LRSW- 7.5, 8, 7.5, 7 (Sept. 30, 2017)- It ended in praise! PART 2- WES ECA- Evaluated as overall Canadian equivalency of Masters degree (Nov 2017)- It ended in praise! PART 3- IELTS (BC)- LRSW- 8, 8.5, 7, 7 (May 4, 2018)- It ended in praise! PART 4- IELTS (IDP)- LRSW- ?, ?, ?, ? (May 25, 2018)- It know it will end in praise! (Though not needed any longer )PART 5- ITA (FSW)- CRS 441 (May 23, 2018)- It ended in praise! I thank God first of all for this journey thus far, it all started late 2016 during my annual leave. The leave afforded me the time to think deeply about my life and future and that of my young family in this country and I concluded I have to move if for nothing but for the sake of my kids. I started out with the Canadian Study route (all the while thinking that the Express entry route was a long thing and difficult to achieve) God bless friends that I spoke with who encouraged me to give FSW a try. (To know that the 3 schools that I applied to rejected my applications...Don't let us even talk about what I have spent hustling that route....God would have been looking at me and be like "yinmu" )I and wifey wrote our first IELTS with almost similar scores...but the accuser struck again (he can only delay the glory, he cant kill the shine )- I got bad advice that I shouldn't waste money re-writing IELTS, that I should just pack into a PNP and coast to nomination for an eventual sure ITA- I did (Dont let me even talk of how much I have spent [and obviously wasted] on this PNP hustle too ) Oct 2017, I submitted an application to SINP. No nomination, little did I know that I was setting myself up for frustration and delay...unendinig test of patience for months...(You guys here on FSW can never understand what folks on the PNP go through just to get the same ITA that we celebrate here on a regular) ...Here, many are even yet to understand the acronym- MEP- and before you say Jack Robi...., its PPR for them! ![]() Frustration and lack of movement on the PNP application made me resit the IELTS and here we are!! My first EE profile of October 20th, 2017 became ineligible on the April 30, 2018 , I missed ITA of May 9, 2018 by the tie breaking rule(because my mint profile of May 1, 2018 didn't qualify- painful)But all that end well is that that end in praise! ![]() NB: Too many friends to start mentioning you one by one...I thank you all for your encouragement, support and faith keeping..we all came through on this! .** My heart goes out to those who are yet to clinch the ITA especially those on the border line of 435-439- you know how we do na- keep the faith up because one thing is certain, iyanu ma sele and it will definitely end in praise IJN! |
My people, I'm coming. The work today, ehhhh, no be here oooo, I never chop sef , I can't even celebrate yet, na side eye I take check the thing! But I'm smiling in my mind because it's a countdown workload thingz ![]() I'm coming back in a jiffy, we shall celebrate this! I told ya before before na, behold another phase has ended in praise! ![]() |
futureenergy:Some schools accept it whilst most will still demand that you send the original transcript directly from the naija institution. Be that as it may, there are several professional bodies and governmental agencies that will take your evaluated credentials from WES without having to go to collect a fresh transcript from your naija school. It will end in praise IJN! |
wisdom77:Don't get confused, please, take time to read first...I can't imagine a short cut to this "ish" (I wish there is for the newbies), you just have to read about alot of things in this journey. Info on this Canadian EE is good, but you still have to read even outside of this place so as to put your own scenario in perspective and know other ways that may fit your bill better than the info that is here. elfmannisback: I talk am ...you sha!! Allow us the initial benefit of being a newbie na...a newbie today is a guru tomorrow (that if he reads wide and deep ooo! ) |
reavealhidden:Thanks my good friend @revealhidden As it is a weekend now, let me put some info out as we are all learning. Contrary to your view, there's no case of trying to reinvent the wheel here. Only if we can get curious to know why some things are done they way they re done, then we will all agree that, though people take different routes, they still come to the same destination one way or the other. ![]() The popular info here on the Canadian EE thread is to evaluate your highest credential to earn the points needed, right? If you have Masters, B.Sc, NCE, etc, just evaluate your masters and get moving. I'm sure the advice came on the strength of the wahala that people were going through to collect their transcripts and all...and in any case, it is just the Masters that you will need to evaluate to get the needed Canadian Equivalency to earn your EE points. Ok, that being said, if you eventually have time on your hands and can get all your B.sc, M.Sc, NCE transcripts thrown into the WES evaluation "cookinig pot", it will still all be evaluated one by one and come cooked as overall Masters degree Canadian Equivalency, see? Same thing with the guy that threw in only his Masters degree for evaluation. In my case, I have envisaged that I'll be needing my transcripts for some pursuits later on in Canny, so what did I do? I simply "pre-loaded" all my transcripts for evaluation to WES- B.Sc, M.Sc, Diploma- all for the price of one degree (I used WES as my transcript warehouse ). My WES ECA still came back as "OVERALL CANADIAN EQUIVALENCY- MASTERS DEGREE", See?Why did I do that? I'm not coming back to Nigeria to chase any transcript for that my future "envisaged need" or be calling one Bayo upandan to help me go to Exams and Records Unit to check whether my transcript is out I'll simply instruct WES to evaluate which of my transcript that I need, on a course by course basis and deliver to the appropriate agency, with minimal headache! I have just used "one stone to kill two birds"So, you relate now when I said, you know the reason but you must have forgotten! ![]() I appreciate your candour and opportunity to discuss this for others to learn and make their decisions. If I'm wrong, I welcome opposing views, we are all learning! (It was on this thread that I eventually learnt how to withdraw a degree from the bouquet of degrees already named to WES for evaluation but where it is becoming difficult to get the transcript across(and you need the evaluation process to continue and the withdrawn degree has no impact on the overall evaluation)...to imagine the stress I went through searching for this same info earlier for a friend which we didn't get ...On this hustle, no one can know it all, we are still learning every day)It will end in praise IJN! |
reavealhidden:My first reaction was to remind you of some things you know but which you may have forgotten but on a second thought, I decided not to but allow you to rejoice in the bliss of the moment... ![]() I'm just kidding too ![]() It will end for all of us in praise! |
GlitteringStar:Whilst creating my profile, I simply chose Masters degree qualification (which is the M.Sc) from the drop-down although, I WES-evaluated my B.Sc and M.Sc which came back with an overall Canadian equivalency of a Masters Degree. Do you sense any lack of simplicity in the above scenario? (as I love simplicity too and I can't wait to use your model to submit my application post-ITA )I intend to upload that WES report to claim point for the Masters degree and anywhere else upload my B.Sc and ICAN certs to back my NOC? (Though I'm aware that in FSW, it's not compulsory that credentials must match NOC) What do you think? It will end in praise IJN! |
browndoll:WAWAWUUU!!! (In caps) Most often, we don't have an idea what people go through in preparation and readiness for plunging into the pool or to clinch this coverted ITA....in order to kickstart their PR application proper! It's easy for some, whilst you'll cringe at the stories of others. HOWEVER... All is well that eventually ends in praise. Congratulations once again to you @browndoll and your family, go and blossom in Canny, we are coming behind ya. ![]() |
Elfmannisback:Of course, what do you expect? Citizens are getting better info and smarter at DIY (Doing It Yourself), which automatically translates to lesser cash for the boys. The PO boys are not smiling at all! Soon the NPF's PCC team may stop smiling too as people increasingly get a hang of smarter ways of using available technology to half the cost of getting these stuff done. ![]() It will end in praise IJN! |
GlitteringStar:GS, I don't really get this. Are you saying that post-ITA, he can review his profile details and move the B.Sc to personal history/spouse's work experience to personal history? [Is that on the premise that he didn't evaluate his B.Sc with his masters degree?] I'm clear on that of the spouse's work experience being moved to personal history to avoid CIC requesting for employer's reference letter for the spouse (which you didn't earn any point for anyways). Is it possible as one has evaluated ones B.Sc plus the M.Sc (Evaluated overall as a Canadian equivalent of a Masters) to submit both the B.Sc & M.Sc certs under study history? It will end in praise IJN! |
Newbeecey:You will make payment on www.immigration.gov.ng (with your mastercard or visa) and print out your payment acknowledgement slip. [every info is straightforward on that website] Curiosity and lack of enough cash at the time drove me to testing the immigration online procedure and I was pleasantly surprised that it worked out and happy I made that savings then...Just like the Express entry PR process, some will darn the stress, read up and do it themselves, whilst saving tons of money thereby, many will still use the services of an agent and pay through their nostrils for it...It is the same thing for this passport issuance stuff. Patience and time to understand and work the process to get out what one desire. Follow the advice of @aworldcitizen and take along with you all the necessary photocopies and original documents that you will need to open the file at the Immigration Office. Go to any of their offices and sight a senior officer and talk with him to help out. It will all end in praise IJN! |
Congratulations @browndoll, @emelueobi, @loudlumi and others who got PPR. This is another major beautiful ending in praises. Go and blossom in your new home. |
aworldcitizen:I did exactly this for my children's passport renewal. Log in to www.immigration.gov.ng/standard-passport/ (That's for the standard 32 pages passport) I paid the official N10,750 (x 2) and printed the payment confirmation slip, photocopied their expired passport and called my contact person in Ikoyi Immigration Office and opened up to him that I didn't have much, that's why I'm going this route and that I needed his influence to help me expedite their capturing. He obliged me and 2 days later, they did their capturing. I thanked him with some cash, he refused but I insisted...he eventually collected. Less than 2 weeks later, their passports were ready for collection. What I would have coughed out about 70k for, I did with just about 25k and the stress (which was worth it given what I saved )It will all end in praise IJN! |
Congratulations to all those who declared PPR today. As this last part of the "SCENE 1" of your immi-journey has ended in praise, so shall the "SCENE 2" in Canada break forth into beautiful acts and sweet plots. It will continually end in praise for you IJN! |
maternal:Don't generalize Africa; make it specific: NIGERIA! ![]() It will ens in praise IJN! |
