A 28-year-old criminal justice student, Shanya A. Isom has a rare skin condition which makes her to grow human nails instead of hair on her skin.

It all started back in 2009 when she had an asthma attack and she was treated with steroids but had an allergic reaction which made her develop bumps on her legs and skin. Later on, her skin started to darken according to New York Daily News reports.

Speaking about her condition, Shanya said, “They’ve tested me from A to Z, and everything was coming back negative,” Isom told WAFB.

She was later admitted to John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore in August 2011 in a bid for doctors todetermine the cause of her condition.



They later found out that her hair follicles were producing 12 times as many skin cells as hair cells which meant that her hair follicles were producing nails, instead of hair.

“I couldn’t sit up, I couldn’t walk,” she told WAFB. “Now I can walk with a cane and sometimes I can walk on my own.” With the rare case, Isom is running low on funds as her medical bills have already reached $250,000 according to the Daily Mail.

Isom, who says she is the only person in the world with her condition, has set up the S.A.I.

Foundation to raise money to cover her bills and help others who may develop similar symptoms. “If [my condition] means me dealing with this to help someone else, I’m willing to go through it,” she said.

36 year old Ifiemi Felagha, works with an oil servicing firm but spent all his free time in the past eight years working on living his light plane dream and he’s seen it through by building a light plane, named Destiny.

According to the parent of this young man without tertiary education, has had a knack for putting things together since his childhood.

The aircraft is however yet to take-off because Ifiemi is not a trained Pilot. He is now consulting with aviation experts but for now, he keeps moving the aircraft on his make-shift runway.

“The building my husband built in Karmo was demolished by El-Rufai. This affected my husband so much that he couldn’t rise up financially again after that. It was the effect ofthe demolition that affected him and he died eventually. After his death, my children and I were thrown into abject poverty.

There was no where we could start from and nobody or even relations were willing to help us. It got so bad that my children who had dropped out from school, and I were begging daily for sustenance.”

The mother of three, who claimed to have embraced the profession recently when all else failed, disclosed that life too in the fast lane is not as rosy as she thought.

She said that she makes between N500 and N2, 000 a night which is meagre compared to the amount they pay for lodgings at the brothel.

“We pay N5, 400 for accommodation weekly and I have not even gotten enough to pay thisweek’s rent,” she said as at the time of conducting this interview.

She, however, appealed to the federal government, well-meaning and wealthy Nigerians to come to her aid.

London – Real Madrid have become the first club in any sport to generate more than €500 million in revenue in a single year, according to the business advisory firm Deloitte.

The company’s Football Money League, published for the 16th time on Thursday, sees Spanish champions Madrid retain their hold on first place ahead of perennial rivals Barcelona.

In an unchanged top six, Manchester United remain third, Bayern Munich fourth, European champions Chelsea fifth and Arsenal sixth, but English champions Manchester City soar five places to seventh.

AC Milan fall one place to eighth, with Liverpool remaining ninth and Italian champions Juventus rising three places to complete the top 10.

Madrid’s revenue rose by seven percent to €512.6million in the 2011-2012 season, equivalent to €414.7 million at June 2012 exchange rates.

It enabled the nine-time European champions to hold onto top spot in the ranking for an eighth successive year, matching United’s record from 1996-1997 to 2003-2004.

“It is an impressive achievement for Real Madrid to have surpassed €500 million in revenue in a single year,” said Dan Jones from Deloitte’s Sports Business Group.

“Real have led the way in the phenomenal rate of revenue growth achieved by the game’s top clubs, with the double-digit (10 percent) increaseby the top 20 clubs representing continued strong performance in these tough economic times.

“The combined revenues of the top 20 clubs have quadrupled since we began our analysis in 1996-1997.”

Madrid triumphed in the Spanish Liga in 2011-2012,ending three years of dominance by arch-rivals Barcelona, but lost out in the Champions League after being beaten by Bayern in the semi-finals.
Overall, the combined revenue of the world’s 20 highest-earning football clubs grew by 10 percent on the previous year to reach €4.8 billion.

City’s climb of five places was matched by German champions Borussia Dortmund, who rose to 11th, and Italian side Napoli (15th).

“Manchester City’s Premier League title-winning season, combined with participation in the UEFA Champions League, helped drive 51 percent revenue growth to €285.6 million, the largest absolute and relative growth of any Money League club,” said Deloitte’s Austin Houlihan.

“The club’s progress to the top of the English and European game means that they are set to remain a top 10 Money League club for the foreseeable future.”

The only new entry in the list was English side Newcastle United, who moved into the top 20 at the expense of Spanish club Valencia after a surprise fifth-place finish in the Premier League last season.

The English top flight remains the most well-represented league in the ranking, with seven of the 20 clubs hailing from the Premier League.

A woman has defied medical odds to give birth to two children in nine months - even though she was using contraception both times she became pregnant.

Claire Ormrod (26) had her daughter Alice on
December 6, 2011, at 25 weeks, by emergency Caesarean. When she was born, weighing just 1lb 3oz (500g), Alice was the smallest baby ever born in Wales. Seven weeks later Ms Ormrod then became pregnant again, despite being on the pill, and had healthy baby Gareth, weighing exactly 2lbs (900g), at 29 weeks, also by emergency Caesarean, on September 7, 2012.

Doctors have been stunned at the "medical impossibility" of the two babies being born so close together. Alice and Gareth will be in the same class when they start at a primary school in Rhyl, north Wales.

Ms Ormrod, who jointly runs a martial arts company with her partner Gareth Gee (36), has three older children - Molly (7), Jack (5) and Charlie (2). All five were conceived in spite of precautions.

She said: "With every one of my children I was on the pill or the coil," she explained.

"I was on the waiting list to be sterilised when I fell pregnant with Gareth. The coil is supposed to be 99,99 percent effective and I was on it when I had three of my children." She was in fact on a waiting list to be sterilised when she discovered she was expecting for the fifth time.

Given the ordeal she had so recently been through with Alicebeing born so prematurely, Ms Ormrod said she was "absolutely petrified" when she discovered she was pregnant again.

"My GP said I should have a termination. He said it would end up killing me and the baby and that it wouldn't be fair to put me through it. But I said no,straight out. No one could believe it when we told them I was pregnant again. They just couldn't get their heads round the fact that the two babies would be so close together," said Ms Ormrod.

Had Alice been born a week earlier, at the 24 weeks, she says doctors wouldn't have tried to save her. Medical experts believe that babies bornat this stage only have a tiny chance of survival. Ifthey do pull through, they are more likely to have long-term health problems such as lung conditions,learning difficulties and cerebral palsy.

Ms Ormrod said: "She would have been a 24-week baby and they wouldn't have thought she had a chance," she said. Alice was so ill that her family had started arranging her funeral and gave her a hasty baptism. Crucially, they were 90 minutes from switching off her life support machine when she showed her first signs of life.

Ms Ormrod said:"We were told she was so ill, they would have turn off her life support machine, because she couldn't survive.

"One hour before they were about to turn it off, she woke up, then she started breathing on her own. She is a miracle baby, she is a fighter. They told us there was no brain activity and then she woke up.

A Chicken thief from Tsholotsho, Zimbabwe got a lifetime lesson that stealing does not pay when he began to cluck like a chicken whenever he went near people.

The man, Venti Mathe (39) reportedly visited the complaint Ngqbutho Nkomo (36) where he later stole his eight chicken before disappearing. A few days later, Mathe started making chicken sounds and it became worse when he went out or was near other people. He then had no choice but to confront the complainant who reported the matter to police leading to Mathe's arrest.

The alleged chicken thief was hauled before Bulawayo magistrate Mr Temba Chimiso and he pleaded guilty to theft charges. he begged the magistrate to be lenient with him as he had already suffered a lot by acting like a chicken for two weeks. Mathe told the magistrate that he was afraid of suffering further if was sent to prison.

He further told the court that all his efforts of getting help from prophets and traditional healers had been in vain as he was continuously behaving like a chicken.

Prosecutor Tatenda Dakwa, called witnesses whoCONFIRMED that Mathe at times behaved like a chicken. The magistrate then ordered Mathe to pay the chickens before slapping him with 60 days imprisonment with hard labour.

Nkomo told the court that the accused was being punished by his ancestors and there was no way he could assist him. He advised Mathe to go for a cleansing ceremony after paying him

Flamoyant and seemingly too boastful Prophet Uebert Angel Mudzanire, who owns free-to-air satellite channel Miracle TV, has done it again.

Thistime, the too pompous and youthful prophet has supposedly decided to grab controversial headlines at international level.

Angel, who is the founder of Spirit Embassy Ministries, pulled a shocker - ONCE MORE - when he allegedly attacked the so-popular yet humble Nigerian Televangelist Prophet TB Joshua while prophesying a Zambian woman in Harare.

According to an article published by Prophet TB Joshua's official Facebook page, TB Joshua Ministries, Angel reportedly attacked Prophet TB Joshua in November 2012.

The Nigerian Prophet said he received almost 20 emails from various people who informed him aboutthe said incident where the 'miracle money prophet', Angel, is said to have attacked Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) and allegedly accused its leader of only prophesying about the death of the next president.

Prophet TB Joshua, who accurately prophesied the death of Malawian President Bingu WaMutharika last year in February and in March, published an email which he received from one of his followers, a Zambian national who only identified himself as Patrick.

"My name is Patrick and I am writing from Zambia. Irecently visited Zimbabwe from Zambia and discovered something that has confused me. I attended the service of a well known Prophet called Uebert Angel who owns Miracle TV. While he was prophesying to a certain lady from my country, he told her that she was supposed to go somewhere else but because of financial difficulties, the woman eventually came to him. The lady replied that she had wanted to go to The SCOAN in Lagos, Nigeria to see Prophet T.B. Joshua.

"Prophet Angel then asked her why she wanted to go to a place where 'they would only tell you when the next president will die'. He told her that it was in his own church where she would hear the reality. I was very shocked to hear this. Also, during a partners meeting of Prophet Angel which I attended, he even boasted, 'T.B. Joshua is the one who always calls me on the phone. I do not phone him.' He asked one of his ushers to stand up and confirm this, which he did. This happened recently, in the second week of November 2012," reads part of the email.

Responding to the claims, Prophet TB Joshua acknowledged that he believed what his Zambian follower had told him. He revealed that almost 20 people have so far contacted him reporting the same claims.

"Brother Patrick, thank you for your email. Remember, Jesus said there will be trouble. Indeed,there is reason to be troubled because of what the founder of Miracle TV, Uebert Angel, said about me and my ministry. I believe what you said in your email. It was true Angel (of Miracle TV) saidthis in his service. There were almost 20 emails I received saying the same thing. Brother Patrick, I have nothing to say. I leave my battle for God. He has been fighting for me and He will continue to fight for me – because the battle is of God," said part of the man of God's response.

Efforts by My Zimbabwe to sought a comment from Prophet Angel were futile as his spokesman, Pastor Brian Angel's mobile phone was not reachable.

It is interesting, however, to note that while Angelhas allegedly boasted of being 'more powerful' than Prophet TB Joshua, undoubtedly Prophet TB Joshua is respected by so many celebrities and government officials from various countries, much more than Angel himself. The SCOAN has been flocked by countless prominent figures from all walks of life including Zimbabwe's Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai, who visited him in September 2009, Minister Kembo Mohadi and Manicaland governor Chris Mushowe. Other Zimbabwe government officials who have visited TB Joshua include Home Affairs co-minister Theresa Makone, ex-minister Tracy Mutinhiri and Oppah Muchinguri.

Over the past 3 weeks, Angel has been talk of the nation after he mysteriously 'produced miracle money'. The man of God was recently advised by RBZ Governor to quit his 'miracle money' thing and look for a job or get a loan and start a farming business.

In November last year, Angel also boasted over hisflamboyant lifestyle when he turned a sermon into a 'wealth show' in Bulawayo. The HEAVILY GUARDED prophet was in the company of SIX BODYGUARDS, eight-year-old son who also had two huge body guards by his side, brother Pastor Lee Angel and some other pastors from his church.

"I have a good marriage - if you talk about money; I have gone beyond confession. I have confidence in my anointing. Some of you might think I became a pastor because I am not educated - it might shock you that in Zimbabwe, I am the most educated pastor. I taught finance in the UK," he claimed.
