@thesilent1,

Go check out the FACTS of how Horus is misleading you before celebrating what you don't know.
Christianity EtcRe: Was There A World Before Genesis 1? by TellyB(m): 9:33am On May 30, 2007
@Horus,

Horus:
Within many religious sects the first scroll is interpreted as Genesis, but in the Aramic (Hebrew) language it translates to “barashith.” The word barashith comes from the root word bara – meaning, “to reconstruct, or reconstruction.”
Don't try to cheat your readers (that is, if anyone ever pays attention to you these days). Aramaic and Hebrew are closely related languages; but they are two very distinct languages. You should have the decency of being honest to yourself before posting anything in a public Forum. See the following links for the distinctions:

Hebrew
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hebrew_language
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biblical_Hebrew_language

Aramaic
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aramaic_language
http://www.answers.com/topic/aramaic

Infact, the word bârâ' does not mean 'to reconstruct, or reconstruction'. It is indicative of either of two possible meanings:

(a) 'to open up', with its cognate Hebrew bârâ'q meaning 'lightning';

(b) depending on the special Hebrew marks one uses for the consonantal, it could mean:
-- (Qal) to shape or fashion
-- (Niphal) to be created
-- (Piel) to cut out/cut down
-- (Niphil) to make fat

Except for ch. 31:47 (which is a translation of a Hebrew place-name), Genesis itself was not written in Aramaic, but rather in the Hebrew langauge. So, you cannot take the name of the book out of its Hebrew distinctives and make it an Aramaic word in order to arrive at your slanted idea.The Hebrew word for Genesis is not 'barashit', but rather 'bereshit' [בראשית (B'reshit or Bərêšîth)]. The word simply means "birth", "creation", "cause", "beginning", "source" or "origin" (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genesis ).

It therefore stands that Genesis is not what you misinterpreted it to mean (as you always do). It is that book of "beginnings", and not the tale of your lost 'black jesus'.

Christianity EtcRe: Disons Non Au Cannibalisme! Say No To Cannibalism by TellyB(m): 9:29am On May 30, 2007
@Horus,

Horus:
The word “cannibalism” according to the American Heritage Dictionary is defined as “eating the flesh of other human beings.”According to The Bible in John 6:54-57, 2 Kings 6:28-29, and Ezekiel 39:17, God is telling people to eat flesh and drink blood.
Where did God tell PEOPLE to eat flesh and drink blood in 2 Kings 6:28-29 and Ezekiel 39:17?
Christianity EtcRe: Disons Non Au Cannibalisme! Say No To Cannibalism by TellyB(m): 9:27am On May 30, 2007
thesilent1:
you do realise that he is not LITERALLY tell them to eat flesh, right?!
@thesilent1,

Go read the text yourself - God did NOT tell people to eat flesh or drink blood in 2 Kings 6:28-29 or Ezekiel 39:17.

John 6:54-57 is symbolic for the feast of the Supper which Christians partake with bread and fruit of the vine:

For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus
the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: And when he had given thanks,
he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in
remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped,
saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in
remembrance of me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew
the Lord's death till he come.
--- I Cor. 11:23-26

And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to
the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks,
and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament,
which is shed for many for the remission of sins. --- Matt. 26:26-28
Christianity EtcRe: What Did You Learn At Church Today? by TellyB(m): 9:17am On May 30, 2007
@twitch,

I really don't have to bother with people like Horus - he's just a confused renegade of his own racist black jesus movement which is neither here nor there. Having lost contact with their so-called factology, they've turned against themselves to eat their own skins, and from within that matrix will ever seek to cast aspersions on Christ and the Bible.

He's not even half-witted enough to construct a sane sentence, let alone hold his tuff when exposed to light and intelligence. And yes, you're right that he's one of those self-defeated chumps fulfilling Biblical prophecies. I'm not bothered, because more of them will come, and they'll be beaten back to their racist holes.

Blessings.

---------------------------

@afroqueen1,

At least, you've taken the time to explain his misgivings about the non-existent cannibalism he read into the Bible. Perhaps he would sooner than later come to terms with his misplaced beliefs. If he doesn't, no shakings.

Cheers.

Christianity EtcRe: What Do You Feel About Black Jesus? by TellyB(m): 11:12pm On May 29, 2007
@Horus,

Horus:
The Real Trinity, Three Jesus
1)-Yashu’a Bar Maryam – Jesus The Son of Mary (The true one; a Messiah) (John 1:45)(Yes old Black people do have White hair)
The Bible did not say Jesus Christ the Son of God was BLACK. Don't try to be patronizing here after losing your black jesus identity.

Horus:
2)-Simon Bar Jesus – Son of Jesus and Mary Magdalene (Christ) (Acts 13:6)
Where is the connection with the sorcerer being the "son of Jesus" or of Mary Magdalene in Acts 13:6?

Horus:
3)-Cleophas, Jesus-Justus, Saint Issa – Son of Cleopatra and Mark Anthony (Holy Ghost) (Colossians 4:11)
And this is assumed to be your black jesus, yes??

Horus:
You (Christians) should ask yourself, which Jesus of your Bible are you following?All three Jesus stories have been mixed to confuse you.
We hear you; and yet you have not been able to explicate issues clearly even when YOU read the same Bible.

Horus:
I just mentioned the three prominent Jesus, there are many more.Jesus was a common name at this time.
And in spite of the common occurence of the name "Jesus", where is your black jesus among the many? Is he such a shadowy figure that you have looked in vain and still not found him?

No offence; but I'm holding on for now. wink

@Horus,

Horus:
1-By those who know it.
Who are they?

Horus:
2- Paul's speech ??Many thing have been added in this "book"AFTER.
By who? What year? What things were added?

Horus:
In the cuneiform writing,( Epic of Gilgamesh ),they talk about a Flood story thousands of year Before the Bible. A quick look at the text does show some key similarities with Noah's Flood of your Bible.
And where does that leave your "black jesus"??
Christianity EtcRe: What Do You Feel About Black Jesus? by TellyB(m): 10:14pm On May 29, 2007
@Horus,

Horus:
The truth of the matter is that God doesn’t have a color he appears in.
Which 'God' are you referring to - the one who needs a larynx to speak, as you hinted in other threads?

Horus:
Yet,the Son of God does. Revelation 1:14-15 further describes Jesus’ hair texture which is like lamb’s wool
Revelation 1:14-15 does not say that Jesus was a black man.

His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow;
and his eyes were as a flame of fire; And his feet like unto fine brass,
as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
-- Rev. 1:14-15.

That the hair was "white as wool" does not speak of texture but of colour! Same as the emphasis on colour when it speaks of the hair as "white as snow"! The picture you posted - how does that describe the hair as "white like wool" or "white as snow"?!?

Besides, both white and black people have white hair; so cheating with this rigmarole is not helping your idea of a black jesus.

Horus:
as well as in 1 Corinthians 11:14 where it states that it is a shame for a man to have long hair. This goes to show you that the image of Jesus with long hair could not be the true image of the true Son of God, Jesus Christ.
Nazarenes are known to have long hair when under a vow!!

"All the days of the vow of his separation there shall no razor come upon his head:
until the days be fulfilled, in the which he separateth himself unto the LORD, he shall
be holy, and shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow."  --  Num. 6:5.

So, where is your black jesus in this picture?

Horus:
Ok,now Let's see this point.
We all know,, WhohuhAre you talking about the image you see in Holywood movie??
Your image of a "black jesus" does not cut your description either.

Horus:
Where in your bible it is said that she IS NOT BLACK??
give me the chapter and number for me to have a look at it.
Where do you read rather that she IS black? Chapter and verse, please.

Horus:
Now look did you look also in Revelation 1:14-15 where your Bible further describes Jesus’ hair texture which is like lamb’s wool huh
The description is about colour, and not texture!

Horus:
And question now do Caucasians have hair texture which is like lamb’s wool??
Does your black jesus have a hair texture like snow ("white as snow"wink?? Sample the pictures below and see that both blacks and whites have "white hairs"!

Horus:
We know what color the Bible say he is. He is of a dark complexion and his hair is wooly. Jesus lived in a hot nation where the sun shined bright everyday. So what!?The bottom line is we as non-whites live with lies that Jesus is white for most of our lives, but as soon as we non-whites want to portray Jesus as a man of color the non-blacks get upset about it. Whose sensitive now? Are you scared we are going to take Jesus from you? You are in denial except the fact that Jesus was brown skinned!

You have seen most of his post now - no fact, no evidence, no proof, no nothing, just emptiness, name-calling and castigation of christianity.
You've captured it one and all. I was going to ignore him after his futility has been exposed; and indeed I have some home-schooling for the poor chap and his adulators. For now, I'm just giving him enough time and speace to exhaust himself.

@Pishawar,

I understand where you might be coming from. However, I'm a little concerned about this line in yours:

Pishawar:
Arabic is:
- - -
 3. the language in Jannah
A few questions will necessarily be asked here for some folks who might not be so close to where you're coming from:

   #1. If Arabic is the language of Jannah, what about those who are non-arab or do not understand the language: will they also miss Jannah?

   #2. How do you know that Arabic is the language of Jannah, if you haven't been there before yourself?

    #3. Apart from the sweetness, what is so special about Arabic that is not is not found in other languages?

    #4. Are you aware that some words in the Qur'an were borrowed purely from other Semitic languages - such as Hebrew and Aramaic? The Qur'an was not written purely all in Arabic.

Meanwhile, please do not mistake me for a scholar in the Arabic language; but I think I know just a little to hold an intelligent conversation about the language with people on the Forum.
