My family's lineage goes a strong way and they were really fetish and deep. And when my sister was prayed for, the first thing she was asked to do was change her surname. Why is that?

Well, Most families in Africa has/have wickedness in different degrees in there foundation, probably due to some kind of idols worship and different kind and ranges of wickedness perpetrated by our fore fathers. So sometimes it is not unusual ti get instructions to change name depending on the depth and the degree of the wickedness.

I can remember vividly when i started my journey with God back in 2015, i received specific instructions too to change my surname but i was wondering why would/should change my surname, as i began to grow in the lord cos i would say my growth was very rapid,and i have a lot of thanks to a man who the lord made our path to cross, then i began t understand some of the feeling and experience i use to have.

Well, that's a story for some other day. as i began to pray more i began to see somethings then i began to understand why i needed to change my name. I began to see lots of blood and am like what is these. The i realized my foundation is filled with a lot of blood whether the people were killed or sacrificed or it was due to vengeance well i couldn't say, But then i continued then i realized the name change was not only necessary but important.

From on, i realised that the name we bear carries alot of weight our destinies, name are pronouncement that different kind of people call, teh once with both the good and bad mouth, and whether we believe or not we are all born again Christians, Holy spirit filled and the likes but the truth we dont carry the same power, same authority, same grace among others some people can and would argue these but that is the truth.
So when different kind of people call that name they are reemphasizing the what ever the circumstance/meaning of that name in the life of that man, be in glorifying the devil or God.


Now that been said,

If you look through the Bible you would realize that before the promise of God could manifest in the life of Abraham and Sarah, they had to be a change of name, In short most of us dont even remember that Abraham was first known as Abram, and the name change was done by God himself Genesis 17:5 He did same for Jacob, He converted his name to Isreal Genesis 32:28, The Lord Jesus change the name of Simon to Peter.

And yesterday i woke up suddenly in the middle of the night and could not move its like i was paralysed. I thought it was the normal sleep paralysis that happens to me occassionaly, but this was different, it was longer, and it was like something was pinnig me down but i wasn't afraid. Little by little i began to lose my breath and feel very hot, i could not talk so i called jesus name in my mind but nothing happened. (why is that, did i go about it wrong, if i did pls let me know.) so for some reasons i started singing praises to God in my heart and with a final struggle i woke up. I do not understand what happened, but i know God protected me.(thank you lord i love you). Pls i will appreciate insights on these things.

There was a brother (a worker in Church like me, we don't talk nor greet each other in reality ) he was sitting at the last seat ( you know after the third person , the forth person will sit on those attached chair.) the brother was sitting on the forth seat at the back, another person(a guy) was sitting at the forth seat in front of him. As I sat down on the forth seat in front of that person, a voice just told me that the guy sitting between me and that brother is a demon. And I woke up.

But is there any kind of leprosy that is not contagious? If so, then so be it...


May be he got healed or maybe not. Or maybe we'll never know, but GOD knows best.

Brother, if anything should happen to me now, i don't know what I will do to myself but I believe and know that God hasn't brought me this far to fall eventually. He who has brought me this far will give me the grace to end victoriously. And I'm also determined to be a vessel in God's hands to show forth His glory. It hasn't been all rosy but God is on the throne.

About work, I can say it's OK but I need something better. Only when I get that better one can I start thinking of involving myself in a relationship because I don't want to be a liability, I hate it.

It leaves me wondering if they have a totally different meaning to God-fearing. I know a guy who tried to live to his dream lady's expectation of being a God-fearing young man. He goes to church always and tells the lady, he always talk about the Bible. He doesn't talk about Sex or like things. Hi everyone I just wanted to mention that I am a girl so I am not a bro(lol).sorry for not mentioning earlier.so I am reading the old testament, I've read from the creation of the world to 1kings and God from the old testament scares me a bit but I love him.pls do you have to get water baptism before you can get baptized by the holy ghost?thank you. So there are 3 birds(pigeons) facing our window and looking directly into my house they come everyday but today is different, they stayed till midnite. normally they leave before the sun sets but they are still here as I am typing, and they are making little noises I don't know if they are ordinary birds or not, but i will pray for myself and my family before I go bed I am not casting and binding for now (is that a bad idea?) I will just pray and have faith that the lord is protecting my family and I know God will protect us.so I can wake up in the morning and continue reading my bible from where I stopped by his grace. I will do as you have said.fear is a very big weakness of mine, I couldn't sleep yesteday night it was dark and I was scared.I held a bible to my chest for comfort and I tried calling my sunday school teacher but he wasn't available. when I was typing this in the early hours of the morning I hid the phone under my bible beacause I thought they will be reading it .I wanted to watch movies or football highlights online then I remembered john saying that, it is impossible for christians who have seen the glory of God to deny christ and enter heaven. I not a strong christian yet and even though I have not seen God in his full glory yet,I realised that I was about to slip back to old habits just because I was afraid and even with how great my fear was I wasn't ready to do that, because I knew God will be dissapointed with me. people have faced much worse, and they still worship God in spirit and in truth, and here was I behaving like a weakling because of the dark. so I got up and played a gospel song till I could fall asleep and I did. thank you all for your help you have been really great, I will get ignorant about the forces of the dark for now and try to know and get closer to God.thank you all once again @nnamdiosu tjayjosh 701ecilana proccessor01 NnaNna4 and the remaining wonderful people of this thread.stay blessed.I guess I could use this................sorry I know it is almost afternoon.

I read some things on these thread and i marvel at how some people results to name calling of churches and go on to castigate them.

While a lot of us, Just sit down with the writings of the new testament and discard the old while picking the promises of how God and using it and discarding the not so nice ones as we are in the time of grace.

Now, To every ministry there are peculiarities and how they decide to disseminate to their members and how they interpret it, is basically their business. You dont believe in deliverance good for you. You had an encounter with God and immediately you dropped all your bad habit woow. Wonderful.

I remember a particular person on these thread who had reservations about a particular man of God and she wouldnt even listen to him. But the day the lord had an encounter with her and reveal who the man is to her, she became a member and right now she is waxing strong in that denomination.

We are believers but definitely not grace mates, same thing you are doing another man is doing and achieving greater rewards, same prayer you pray is the same men of God pray and testimonies abound.. All these talk about we are all possess same level of Grace is not true.
