Bricking can be defined as murderin an xpensiv phone in cold blood by damaging the essential files that boots/turns it on.. Thereby rendering the phone useless which automatically makes it a BRICK and no more a PHONE.

Ve used opera to download 2 diff store, one is standalone store of around 6mb nd anoda of 20mb but stil cant instal any of d2. Everytin just tire me jare. I cant c d instalserver file fr c: d fone is hacked now and I guess formatin shd ve restored everytin back to normal. Pls I need help ooo, cos I dnt want to subject dfone into any flashin again[/

Yes bro, U Can. a stable 3G will be superb cos the update is close to 30mb. to make update over wifi easier without interupting ur current internet Access point... after sharing a wifi hotspot from d host (assuming it s from ur pc) just go to SETTINGS-CONNECTIVITY-SETTINGS-NETWORK DESTINATION.. Create a new destination with ur desired name, select it and choose new access point then Add the wifi u are currently sharing from the pc automatically, after that go to SW UPDATE, from the options choose SETTINGS-NETWORK DESTINATION, select the one u newly created and u are good to go, just turn ur wifi on, connect to your shared wifi hotspot and update

Use a WLAN connection for your update boss, u can share one with your phone using your pc as hotspot with your modem if u have CONNECTIFY software installed on d pc

If u didnt format the phone after update or u imported/restore the old database, u might hav prob with xplore and u cant remove application Registry even if u uninstall it. Yes it will work so far u install xlpore afresh without restoring the old settings again.

Nah it cant do everthin. Hidden files, system files, System cores, RAM & ROM Basics, Attributes etc cant be accessed with defauly nokia file browser

shayman: After belle fp1 update on my Nokia 603...x-plore stopped working and I have installed and uninstalled so many times. Its a big problem for me cause have since lost my belle hack after the update and I need x-plore to hack again

even if u reinstall a million times it wont work until u format the phone with *#7370# .. remember to save/backup ur files boss

Update went smoothly n restored my back up forgotin dt I need to hack again. Instal norton to begin hackin proces nd d fone jst hanged. Ve to remove d batt nd to my surprise, it was unable to boot up. Had to take it for flashin and started working again but ve lost my some preloaded app like store which I cant use till now. Also discover belle hackin is diff fr fp1. Does dt mean netquin and norton cant b install at same drive. Pls any help wit my store?

If update application couldnt read and modify an application data from ''BIN'' folder in c: then it wont work after update is done.

U should get all default applications working after flashing, (exactly the way it is when u bought it). When u took the phone for a flash, i guess they did a 3 button hard rest for u instead of a proper flashing.

U will corrupt some bootdata files if u install both netqin and and norton. D normal procedure during hacking is to uninstall norton after restoring the 2 files under quarantine and then install Rom patcher. After that then u can install netqin.
To get store back, if u have already copied installserver from hackin tutorial into the phone, remove it, or betastill format the phone and dont restore anythn. install netqin, select SYSTEM APP then APP MANAGER, search for any traces of STORE left on your device and remove, then search for ''ovistore .sisx'' in google and download (u can update to the latest version after successful installation) if u get an installation error again then the rest of ovistore data are located in system core '':Z'' folder and the only solution will be a firmware flashing, not hard reset/formating.
NB: always Restore only ur contacts, files and documents after a firmwaee update, stop including applications settings as it might no more be compatible with the latest update u just got, do a fresh reinstallation of apps so it could generate new settings.

lol. your case was a sorry one bro, any pause rendered on internet connection during update via nokia suite will definitely give you a bricked phone no doubt, a reflash would have been your solution but u decided to turn your phone to a javelin.. chai. i fear u o

i used wifi connection from CONNECTIFY software to update mine with the phone. i.e I put the sim into my modem then used connectify to share my internet network as wi-fi from d pc. then connect the phone to the wi-fi, refreshed the update and it was done. dont forget to check OPTIONS-SETTINGS-NETWORK DESTINATION in SW UPDATE and select the right access point for the network u are currently using.

In fact, even when I change my default connection from headset to TV-out (in accessories), it automatically reverts to headset mode when I insert the AV TV-out cable. What could be the problem?

With the way you use чυя ☎, it can't go out of fashion. ℓ̊ am waiting to get the slot price of pureview, if its within reach after getting  9860 no shakes, if its otherwise, then I'm getting the n8. 701 or c7 are simply not up to the task and ℓ̊ must add you make a really good argument for the n8.

Also was comparing videos of asphalt 6 hd on galaxy note and c7, ℓ̊ didn't spot any difference but you indirectly said earlier on that droid games are better. So what's up?

I dont really mean it dat way bro, clearly N8 is one successful flagship device in nokia's history based on its rich hardware performance as well as BELLE OS to spice it up, but nevertheless technology gets better everyday and now that a new flagship device like Pureview is around d corner, u can be sure of anoda giant's arrival dropping its predecessors.

Yeah, I agree with u on Asphalt 6 issue bro. C7 has an amoled scrn just like n8, so u get good graphics playing games and watching movies, but symbian produces lighter version of some softwares to improve speed and quality, most android game written codes are as bulky as windows pc games so u can be sure of more game graphics than symbian.

chukyjones: Hi all, please i'm having a seroius challange updating my N8 to Nokia belle. The upgrade thru nokia suite has 5 stages, 1. get started 2.back up 3.install 4.restore & 5.Finish
the challenge here is, at the 3rd stage, during installation, the phone restarts and after that, will get the error "connection to the phone lost".
I have done this 1001 times but still d same thing. But in the phones mass memory will be the folder (Nokia_Belle) with lots of sub-folders.
wht do you guys advice?

Some users are facing the same issue with belle update, it is normal for your phone to restart after backup before installation continues, but the pc should detect the phone immediately after restart. I do hope u are connecting the phone to the fully powered USB port nearest to the power house/mother board (at the back of ur desktop or at the exact side where u plugged in ur Laptop charger) and not the other ones, also when the connection goes off after restarting, dont remove the usb yet, switch the phone off with 8sec power button holding, then switch on again. the installation should continue.. U r very lucky getting an error at the early stage of installation, any error when update starts downloading ll surely get u a bricked/dead phone, so consider using a very fast uninterrupted internet connection or betterstill manually flash your phone with belle firmware, which is 100% safer.
