hesilo: Bro will you just calm down? You will kill him and post his corpse for us to see. An then, what will you gain? You will only cool off your hot tempered existence in a prison yard waiting for a trial and then a death sentence over a badly refurbished 2Million naira Toyota corolla which is not even yours. Calm down before you bite fingers with regrets, that's if you can do what you claim anyway, most people who are really that cruel and bloody dont say, they just do so, God help you if anything happens to him and someone who knows him already saw your post here. Na small thing people take dey enter wahala in life. Be Careful! The deed has already been done, your next approach is how not to get cheated permanently and how he wont go scort free, probably involving the necessary forces and not come online to make threats as if we are families to the Scammer. You should rather invoke your anger on your brother for giving 2 million out for the man to search for a car on his behalf, He has a very good case over you guys if he has all the necessary papers to back up his tokunbo claims, regardless of how the car looks or what you paid, he will claim he delivered your car. Take it to any court. Your brother is just... just... Let keep mute before i get banned. I have a friend with the same characteristics of your brother who recently got scammed of 1Million naira while trying to buy a land. (story for another day) May God see you through bro. |

One thing that baffles me about most of the critisizers of this low end smartphones are.. 1. Most of them use the same brand, some even have worse specification compared to the one they are condemning 2. If Infinix, Tecno and the likes decides to start producing high end smartphones and compete with the likes of Samsung and iphones, will u be able to afford it? 3. Back the when symbian was in vogue and Nokia phone prices were high, even Samsung and HTC android phones.. no be Java phones, the likes of express music na hin dem dey carry about? Only on Nairaland will you see an old Tecno phone user commenting with Android 2.1 Gingerbread OS, 512MB RAM and a broken screen with cellotaped battery condemning a new release of an Infinix or Tecno Inside life! |

jaxxy: Bro, you are a good dealer and you have just earned my respect. I wish i could just buy the car from you right now. I do appreciate honest response. If na other i.m.mature dealers, they ll start Fighting Cosplay over the exposure of their accidented car. The thing most dealers dont understand is, either accidented or not, someone who ll buy it will buy it. Why not just sell a with free conscience and be truthful. If u sell Sand as Goods, u ll definitely receive Stones as pay. You gonna reap what you sow, it's just a matter of time. Think about it! |
Car Talk / Re: Help!! Toyota Highlander Or ML 350 by temmym4(m): 1:48pm On Nov 04, 2019 |
I disagree with people having to beg for ur ML350 to be bought. You don't wanna mess with the German. Handle both cars and spot the difference yourself. The difference. Sweet isn't it? but the maintenance especially when something of a "Big Deal" breaks. can you afford it? This is a question you should ask yourself before you get a ride because of it's sweetness and difference. I dont blame Toyota lovers anyway, in Nigeria, reliability comes first. i was in a workshop once and my mechanic was attending to another customer, he uses Range Rover sport and was having issues with suspension. The mechanic quoted his bills and he was angry, to my suprise, he faced me and started explaining to me in agony as if i asked him for explanations or forced him to buy the ride. I just dey nod as if i was interested in his long talks so he wont feel worse |
Family / Re: Can I Give My Daughter 'ALUKO' As A Name? by temmym4(m): 7:55pm On Nov 02, 2019 |
Beosten: Bro. I'm gonna be realistic and sincere to you. ALUKO is actually is a bird that symbolizes beauty. It sounds masculine, not just that, it is actually used by our fore fathers as a SURNAME. No offence, i know u have the right to give your child the name you wish, but why will you want to give a female child that? I know u want something very unique but to be candid, there are so many beautiful, feminine, rich and deep meaning yoruba names that symbolizes beauty for a female child other than that. You ll hardly see a male child bearing that as his First name. U ll only find that as a last/Surname. Naming your female child ALUKO will make anyone stare at you in shock or amazement, especially if u live in south west (Am assuming u live abroad to even think of this in the first place) Expect some incovinience for her while growing up so you will have lots of questions to answer and Explanations to make, especially in the country. Dont be suprised when she eventually change her first name later on. Those who are encouraging you, will they really do that to their own female child? It's your daughter though, u v got every right to name her whatever u wish to. |

Crvrider: Just the conventional Forte oil i was using prior to the engine rebuilt. I was actually adviced to continue using the same oil i do use before the engine was done. Didn't want to argue with him. So i did. It's over 2 years already anyway. No complain whatsoever. |
Car Talk / Re: My Experience "Ringing" An Engine by temmym4(m): 9:01am On Oct 28, 2019 |
TRYGO: So True. My rebuilt engine is 2 years already, not even a single issue. When you have your car in competent hands, it will seem as if the ride is just built specially compared to the same models plying the same road. #Fact 5 Likes 2 Shares |

duality: Dude read my post again and understand please Don't just say "BUY NISSAN, BUY HONDA, BUY MITSUBISHI" There are so many car models of different years from different makers, if you are giving us advices, mention a model/models that we can get which will be in range of what the OP wants in terms of budget and reliability so we will look into it and consider instead of the camry 01 that the OP mentioned. Am here to learn and make decisions too since am one way or the other in the OP's shoes. Do you understand me now sir? |
Car Talk / Re: Advice Getting Camry 2001 (fishlight/droplight). Users Please Come In by temmym4(m): 9:15am On Oct 22, 2019 |
duality: This way, I can as well suggest Honda and even Kia cars for him, so will other users suggest Benz, BMW and the likes, but we ar not helping the OP are we? Which model do u know and can vouch for, According to what the OP wants, considering his budget and what he wants in a vehicle. Am somewhat in the OP's shoes as well. I am here to learn and probably make a decision. Contributions from Nairalanders will be helpful. 1 Like |

duality: True, but according to the OP, he wants something as reliable as what he currently owns Cars prices could be the same but reliability will definitely differ. If we are suggesting another brand for the OP, i believe we should put reliability first, not forgetting his budget. It is not about using the latest car, it is about what you can afford (Purchasing, maintenance and reliability) 1 Like |

horlarh02: This absolutely doesnt make sense bro. Am sorry. Just because a phone has 2 variant doesnt make the makers deceptive. Take for instance, back then, Hot note and Hot Note pro has the same look, but a different RAM/ROM. The specs are always bodly written behind the case/pack even without powering it yet. Blame the seller, not the maker. Even if the seller is ignorant, what about the buyer him/herself |

Ismaxtr3: Oh my! Bro stick with the EOD, you will be ok, trust me. A defect in suspension is easily managed compared to the one that gets sick for no reason, electrical and transmission issues are very easy way to die emotionally. Regular checkup with an EOD/DC you should be ok. Even if it pulls, na that particular moment you go frown, in a matter of minutes you are ok.. You wont think about it for several months 1 Like |

Controlv: Forgive me bro, but isn't this what most accord users say to comfort themselves of the leg pull? Correct me if am wrong but are Accords the only vehicle with fake suspension parts flooding the country? Just face facts and stop judging what is not, it's a defect on accord at a particular year range and it will pull regardless of how safe you drive depending on the condition of the road you usually drive. If yours never pulled, then you hav taken 100 percent precaution and the road you ply has helped too. You lubricate the joint at every service, 7 to 8 months interval? From your messages above, you dont sound like someone who will service a car almost once in a calendar year. I dont believe your joint checking tales bro. No offence. All that bn said, accord is a wonderful car. Driving experience, i will pick the ride over a toyota brand of the same year but the headache is the leg pull/gear issue (The ones at the year range) No sunday has ever passed by without me seeing one accord that has torn leg on the main road, it's worse during the weekdays since it causes a lot of hold up. 1 Like |

I knew someone who had one back then. 2003 V6. He takes care of it like an apple of the eye. Car travels well and performance is a top notch. Between 2012 and 2017, he changed the gear twice. Mind you, gear is not close to been cheap. Despite changing ball joints regularly, car still managed to pull 3 times in my presence. He has the 2005 DC now, I4, quite reliable compared to the older. But still the same sickness. Someone actually advice some tacking the joints by welder or blacksmith (not sure) i actually think it worked because the car is 2 years old and no leg pull despite travelling almost everyday. Aside the gear and leg issue, i ll definitely choose EOD/DC over their counterparts. The premium feel of an accord is superb, this is the ONLY reason why the owners dont complain. Also, remember parts are not cheap, except of course u want the knock-off parts which you ll eventually blame yourself on. The issue relating to Steering is mostly common too my brother (Power steering pump, steering rack, power steering oil leakage) Accord is only reliable if you have some cash to spend and a competent mechanic at your disposal. 1 Like |

qualityovenbake: Bros think about this, an Hollywood movie with the budget of $50 million will gross about $300million. Now in Naija, is it the same? spend 5 million naira to shoot a movie in Nigeria and see what u get in return... After piracy go don kill the job. You only invest in what is profitable. |
Romance / Re: Six Tips How To Approach & Date Single Military Women by temmym4(m): 12:30pm On May 06, 2019 |
OP just chop bellefull and feels military women are the next ladies to start chasing. is this not Wonderful?! To all fellow men who are already considering this, my advice is, respect yourself and save yourself the embarassment and future regrets. if u eventually talk to her and she accepts, then what happens ? You start dating her, their romantic gestures, an Aggression ! You have argument, It's either u get slapped at any slightest provocation and if u try to act funny and be a man u think u are, u will get planked by the team, at this point, just make sure you have a mother or sister who ll treat your broken bones and Ligaments. she catches you with another chique. you are fired, with few days in guard room to top it up. she is a typical woman, you know when women have the upper hand or are in power, things are always different. Military power dey always boost their ego seriously. ok lets say u eventually marry her.. wetin you gain ? Be a wise civilian In Kizz Daniel's Voice, "No go dey do pass yourself". 1 Like |

biosilicon: All i see here are luxury cars. My brother. Your 1.5Million doesnt actually matter. What you Actually ignored is what matters mostly. A reliable car is as good as it's maintainace culture, if u can afford it. Forget the money you have at hand, put their future maintanance and cost first, then decide the exact car that suits your budget. Well, if i was in your dream, lets say we ignore Maintenance cost as u have specified i.e you have got enough cash to throw around, then.. Option 2 (2004 - 2009 Mercedes Benz E class) will serve you well and you will never for once in your life think about using another brand of vehicle other than benz at your next upgrade. Trust me. But in reality, buying a previously naija used luxurious vehicle at 1.5M without considering maintanance cost afterward. Either u wound the car mechanically, electrically plus physically or the car wounds you Emotionally and finacially plus in physical.. One will surely happen. 101 Likes 5 Shares |

greenhulk: Actually i didnt deviate from the topic. temmym4: domack99: I quoted and explained my own case as an instance, you made it sound as if only Transpot companies covers that kind of distance and i tried explaining to u that not everyone drives 2 Kilometers to work everyday. Now back to the topic.. Nigerian cars includes Private and commercial vehicles.. *I believe u already know commercial vehicles cover a whole lot of distance even in the city and u know how many of dem are present in each state. *Most private owners cover a reasonable distance and not just 1 or 2KM a day. Putting these statistics together, i still stand by my word.. Distance covered by Nigerian vehicles a year on AVERAGE should be around 15,000 to 30,000KM a year. |

domack99: U think everyone's workplace is at the back of their house? Not at all brother. Some people drive as much as 60KM (and even more) a day to and from work. Ask some lagosians Calculate that in a week... 300KM In a month..... 1200KM A year..... 14400KM that is just for an office... Now include some extra outings during d weekends, unforseen journeys and probably occasional travelling. Not everyone drives just 2KM a day. Those types, i wonder why they wont just take a cab instead, but no, they want to own a car too. At the end of the day, they consider a car as liability. 3 Likes |

OP. in my own case, taking my current car for instance, i bought it at 189000 KM... It's about a year and 6 months now, after everyday driving round the city to and from work, visiting some places and occasional travelling.. It is now 213500 That makes it about 24500KM that i have added That is around 16,000KM for me a year. An average Nigerian vehicle should be around 15000 to 30000KM a year. 1 Like |
