AutosRe: Beware Of Mercyland Services Uk Importers by temodent(op): 7:54am On Jan 22, 2010
They told me the shipping line witheld the papers bcause they were owning them from a previous transaction. And they kept telling next week since the past weeks once the week runs out he would promised the next and that has been the pattern. But from informations I gathered here on nairaland I discovered you could actually ship without paying but expected to pay b4 collection so I'm suspecting they've not paid the cost of shipping the car.
AutosBeware Of Mercyland Services Uk Importers by temodent(op): 7:38am On Jan 22, 2010
Hi everyone if you resides in the UK and happen to be thinking of sending stuffs home please try and avoid Mercyland Services, based in Gravesend, Kent. They are much of non-professionals and fraudulent dudes.
A car they helped shipped via Cotonou since 18th December is still hanging at the Port, because they failed to pay the shipping line. A word of advise to everyone to take a cue.
Thank you.
Car TalkRe: Tincan Port Congestion by temodent(m): 9:54am On Jan 18, 2010
Thanx, the real issue is, the shipper one mercyland agency in Kent, seems not to have paid the shipping line, hence the reason for the shipping line witholding the bol. Leaving me dry. Anyone shipping from the Uk should be very careful never to deal with mercyland agency they are without doubt mercyless. Thank you
Car TalkRe: Tincan Port Congestion by temodent(m): 6:18pm On Jan 17, 2010
Pls needs an advice, got a car shipped from UK to Cotonou, car arrived in Cotonou since December 21st thereabout (Grimaldi), however the shipper has not released the bol because he claimed it is being withheld by the shipping line due to an outstanding indebtedness to the shipping line. What can I do in this case pls advice. Thanks
AutosRe: Cost Of Shipment Of 2003 Passat From Uk To Nigeria? by temodent(m): 12:03pm On Jan 14, 2010
Please try and avoid Mercyland Services in Gravesend, kent if shipping from around kent or anywhere in London. It's an unreliable agency, imagine a car shipped in since December 17, the papers not yet released because they are indebted to the shipping line, please be warned.
ComputersRe: Fraud Alert! by temodent(m): 4:32am On Jan 08, 2010
Really a pathetic case, trust is essentially a very scarse commodity in our land, I stumbled across a site recently that tries to operate like ebay in Nigeria and I was just wondering how it is ever going to work in this clime where people are relatively less trustworthy.
Well glad to know you are doing everything possible to retrieve your money and it,s a wake up call to everyone to watch out for online deals here.
Thank you.
PhonesRe: Please What Are/is The Safest Way To Send Phone To Nigeria? by temodent(m): 4:38pm On Dec 10, 2009
Well, I think to send a phone registered parcel service should be okay' though I'm having terrible experience with that recently a brother sent 4 phones from the UK, normally slips are supposed to be dropps in my box to notify me to come for the collection after waiting 3weeks and no notification I contacted my brother for the code unfortunately he had travelled to the US by then, when he returned to the UK he sent the code, I approached the post office and was told the phone had been returned when it was not claimed forgetting that they did not notify me in the first place. As at now my brother had not received the phone as being returned neither have we been able to collect it. We are still on their neck hoping they gonna bring it out from wherever. Nigeria Great Nation, Good People, What a life.
TravelRe: Emigrating From The West To Nigeria / Ghana by temodent(m): 7:30am On Dec 05, 2009
Still on the issue of relocating between Nigeria and Ghana, we've heard quite a number of aurguments for and against but of utmost is importance is the insinuation being made by somebody that once you are able to live around Lekki, V.I and it's axis then Nigeria would be a nice place to live in, how shallow has Agege, Ajagbandi, Oshodi, e.t.c ceased to be part of Nigeria.
How can you take a part and exclude it from the whole and still think you can get a clearer pix and who told you people leaving in all those so called high brow areas are totally immuned from the diseases affecting the country.
Besides, do you think the fact that somebody is relocating from the west meant is a millionaire able to afford the cost properties in all those areas.
Hope you read the testimony of the woman and her family whom had just relocated, with that I rest ma case. Cheersd
AutosRe: BUY YOUR SHARP & NEAT CAR(S) FROM COTONOU ( @ THE BEST BET) WITH A LOW MILEAGE... by temodent(m): 5:03am On Dec 04, 2009

Thank you
TravelRe: Emigrating From The West To Nigeria / Ghana by temodent(m): 8:28pm On Dec 03, 2009
The best advice had been given up there, however like the last contributor if really the options of either Nigeria or Ghana are opened to you please do not hesitate to jump at Ghana, I may further suggest that while your family are fully relocated in Ghana you may choose to shuttle between Nigeria and Ghana for Business prospects but fior your family Ghana is a saner environment than here. Thank you
TravelRe: Which Airlines Have The Cheapest Tickets From Lagos To London. by temodent(m): 7:19pm On Dec 03, 2009
Suprised nobody mentioned Royal air maroc, they should be cheaper than Afriquiyah, and I can assure you they are fair, theier airport at Casablanca (Muhammed IV) is far better than the pne they got in Tripoli, it's also a nice feeling to have a taste of Casablanca.
I hope this would help. Cheers
AutosRe: Car Dealers: Ogun State Police Check Point. My Little Experience? by temodent(m): 7:11pm On Dec 02, 2009
Really, that's Nigerian police for you, it's just unfortunate that our sickly president despite his much touted 'rule of law' mantra had failed to effect any feasible change in the rudderless Nigerian police, they are really getting from bad to worse, and to think the commissioners or the I.G dont know about all this is a lie, posting to the highways are done to favour those that brings bountiful returns so please even as the year is finally running to an end we should expect the worse form of exthortion. May God help us all. Nigeria good people, great nation, What do you think.

TravelRe: Turkish Visa Appointment by temodent(m): 5:25pm On Nov 20, 2009
@kitan I quite appreciate how you've been trying to enlighten people on this forum from falling victim of scamites, but I got this to say, it's better to catch a thief red handed than in the ankle where he could easily escape, I would have prefered a situation where a trap is set for the Olu and the likes like following up on his supposedly phone callls to actually know what he is driving at, cause i believe strongly it very unlikely for an embassy like Turkey to use a public email such gmail for their correspondence. Anyway keep it up.

TravelRe: Uk Visa Renewal/nigerian Passport Renewal by temodent(m): 6:31pm On Nov 14, 2009
Think you need a new passport, every old passport expires this December 09. All you need do is get your new e-passport and aply fresh for a new visa with the same type of documents but updated, you presented before you were granted the initial 6months visa but go a 2years multiple and remember to attach your previous passport. Good luck
PoliticsRe: Deregulation Or No Deregulation? What's Your Take? by temodent(m): 4:50pm On Nov 07, 2009
My take on the issue of deregulation is that we dont have to get too academic on the issue, but just one pertinent question we need to ask ourselves which is can this government be trusted?. Then we can proceed from here, if after 2years of being in the saddle infracstructural facilities are still the way they are and we are talking of less than 40% budget implementation for this despite the initial promise at the start of the year then your guess is as good as mine that the gains that could be realised from deregulation will be splash on frivolities and perharps help them prepare for massive settlement and rigging of 2011 election. I think deregulation is a good thing but neeeded a sincere government to implement and definitely not this present do nothing 7 pointless agenda govt. Thank you.

AutosThe Excesses Of Lastman Officials by temodent(op): 10:58am On Oct 12, 2009
There is no doubt about the necessity for LASTMAN when it was created, at a time lawlessness had completely taken over our roads and the need to instil discipline in road users, the existing traffic managers namely the police and the FRSC having been overwhelmed or completely incapable of managing the traffic situations due to their inherent corrupt tendencies.
However, as it is always the case with every good ideas in this part of the world, the much applauded LASTMAN is fast becoming a behemoth just like it's predecessors.
the level of extortion among the previous traffic agencies is a child play compare to what LASTMAN are engaged in.
Though Gov. Fashola is trying but this is still a black spot in his administration and a stain on his achievements, LASTMAN is authoritarian in the sense that once they arrest you, there is no appeal even if you've been arrested evidently wrongly.
Fellow nairalanders, I want to create a thread where we can share our experiences in the hand of this LASTMAN Officials.
Thank you.

Christianity EtcRe: Whats The Case For Or Against Polygamy? by temodent(m): 5:28am On Sep 26, 2009
Well, neither do I see it supported in the new testament. However, one guiding principle here is that never have I seen any good done by polygamy rather there abounds cuntless harms that had been done by this practice, so why should any right thinking person then consider it. Remeber the bible say whatsoever thing are, whatsoever thing are of good report if there is any virtue think on this. A very good food for thought. Thank you.
Christianity EtcRe: A Question For Tithe Payers by temodent(m): 5:08am On Sep 26, 2009
Quite an interesting discussion thread here. I want you to understand that over the years most xtians no matter te level of education had been made to bahave like a zoombie. Whatever their pastor tells them is the law, and they are often afraid of confronting the establishment, otherwise the issue of tithing should been long resolved. Besides are Pastors are also quick to invoke the major scripture on tithing in Malachi which comes with a curse on te people to scare peope into obedience and who wants to be accursed, so people literarily obeyed and sometimes when faced with difficulties of life they are acussed of bringing it on themselve for lack of tithing. So much said already for a more enlightened and incicive knowedge on tithing and other issues please visit. www.bibletruths.com.
Thank you.
