Some of us gamble, but we do so responsibly, with discipline. We know when to hold out. We know how much we can afford to lose when we gamble, and we do so accordingly.
Don't demonize betting for us. If you don't have discipline and self control, them stop gambling, and personalize it. There s nothing like secrecy with my gambling. Everyone following me on social media know I do. It's not a sickness. If you have to hide to do it, then you shouldn't be doing it. |

My advise is to send her back. If she gets infected or gets pregnant her people will blame you for it .
When I was younger we had this hosue girl that grew with us. Very religious, spiritual and all, my parents sent her to secondary school and subsequently catering school.
She started seeing guys in the area, and would always tell us not to tell our mum. She then got ill and demaciated, on running tests, it was seen that she was HIV positive. Had to send her back home and told her to try be coming to get her drugs unfailingly.
When she got back to the village she stopped taking the drugs and started taking local concoction. She died. Her parents blame us for killing her, and there have been talk on how they tried commanding her ghost to come attack us.
That's a true life story, I would advise you send her away.
Many things can go wrong.
Pregnancy, complications from abortion, HIV, etc. You'll be blamed for the bad, no matter the good.
Lacapine
Better still if you really like her and want to keep her, inform her parents, and let them know your intention of sending her back. List the possible outcomes if she continues and is unlucky. If they still say you keep her, tell them you are not liable if something in that nature occurs, but you'll try your best to be strict with her, but they should talk to her. |

nextstep: Not sure what the hysteria is about. One one hand, yes ExxonMobil might be planning to leave, which is indicative of its loss of confidence in our economy.
However, there a several things to mind:
1. it plans to sell its assets, meaning others are willing to buy those assets. In other words, the sum total of business and employment may not change much, just ownership. Ideally these will be Nigerian owned, which I can only welcome.
2. there is a HUGE refinery coming online (i.e. Dangote) which will seriously hamper their profits. Better for them to redeploy their business to other places where they have competitive advantage.
3. businesses enter and exit countries for their own interests, and are the true beneficiaries from the economy, so I don't mourn their loss, especially since the majority of profit is exported back to their home country How will dangote refinery hamper their profits? |

chloride6: Not deep offshore...
Usan and Erha are their major deep offshore platforms for now... Then it's safe to say they are selling their aging brownfield offshore shallow water assets. |
Business › Re: Reactions As Exxonmobil Prepares To Leave Nigeria by tempest01(m): 6:12pm On Apr 03, 2019 |
chloride6: Most of Exxon's assets are shallow water and onshore..
Deep Offshore is the future...
Expect more FPSO soon...
Besides I have my suspicions...
Exxon want to be ready to enter the Refinering Business before Dangote grabs too much of a foot hold..
and they are going to need a bucket load of cash for it... Are you postulating or you are saying facts? As someone that's from Exxon community and has worked in their facilities onshore and offshore, I put it to you, that most, if not all of Exxon's production activity in Nigeria is offshore. Shallow and deep waters. Except they are selling production rights to assets that have not been developed onshore |
Business › Re: Reactions As Exxonmobil Prepares To Leave Nigeria by tempest01(m): 5:51pm On Apr 03, 2019 |
chloride6: They are not selling ALL their assets...
How does the Nigerian Economy affect their situation...
Poor Journalism...
New fields in Eastern Africa as well as the American are currently very profitable because of various incentives offered.
We already have a developed oil industry so we wont offer those incentives..
Exxon are still developing assets in Nigeria as well speak...
Same with Shell, Total and AGIP...
Besides no sale can take place without the approval the FG...
So chill and dont wail....
Modified
Called my friend in Eket now
Said it's just the discussion are on the onshore fields..
The offshore fields are not for Sale..
Exxon is currently hiring fresh graduates.
They wouldn't be doing so if there was no long term plan. Hmm does Exxon have onshore assets? Not much I think ( if they do) Except they are discarding their processing and custody transfer assets. |

I think they should, but you people don't want to pay 200 per liter and above re fuel. That's why government is paying under recovery. You people are irredeemable. You protested when Jonathan wanted to increase price to less than it is now, and remove subsidy. You are now paying higher than that amount, and government is paying double subsidy, and you are still supporting pure sabotage and mediocrity. You are irredeemable. |
