festacman: I totally agree with this suggestion. I think it is a brilliant one. It sounds forward-looking and developmental enough for both Federal and state governments to adopt and implement. First, it will solve security problems as extension officers will hear herdmen complaints first-hand and timely to initiate immediate resolution. Second, it will increase livestock production, create employment, expand meat production and boost foreign exchange earnings.
However, the only problem is that it is coming from a Fulani group that is more sensible than Miyetti Allah, which is actually the troublesome group. Will adopting this idea restore corporate sanity and remove bloodletting tendency from Miyetti Allah? If the answer is positive then we can shout "Eureka!", knowing we will soon sleep with two eyes closed. You are foolish. So if a militant group start killing people, the Eureka moment is rewarding them with a ministry, funding and 20% of other people's land instead of prosecution. You people amaze me. |

4 million naira can only be invested to see something tangible in Nigeria.
4 million is chicken change.
How much to process for visa? Flight about 400k, accommodation is about 200,000 naira every month, 2.4 million in a year. Light bills, phone bills, etc like 50,000 naira a month 600,000 a year. Transportation/food about 100,000 naira a month. 1.2 million a year.
Use that money to escape Nigeria if you want, but take out "investment" out of your thinking. Till you settle in the new country, get a job and start saving.
You cannot travel abroad and invest 4 million except it is in Africa or other developing countries you are travelling. |

Sumk: Are you guys saying rules for men and women are different after marriage?? He in the past has too gone out with his female friends and didnt tell me, I came to know after seeing his pics but I trust him completely so I didn't created a fuss out of it and took it in a sporting manner that it is normal to go out with your good friends. So, how is his beating me and that too in this state justified?? My posts and most posts here are personal opinions, and personal reactions and perception as result of our different personalities. You wear the shoe, you know where it pinches, I don't think you should take them for what it is. When your husband does something that can threaten your marriage or happiness in it, engage him and tell him categorically it's something you don't like. These little things like hob-knobbing with other females can take away the affection from your marriage. This should be for personal relationships and not for professional relationships. If you are not sure, you can just mention it passively and not make a fuss about it. This should have been the stance your husband should have taken instead of beating you up. What is missing with you guys is communication and I think the way you people have come across it is to exchange words and throw blows. It shouldn't be so. I know some ladies don't feel okay if their counterpart doesn't get physical with them though, and they try to draw them into a fight. What I deduce from your post is that if you were not pregnant it would have been a fair fight. In as much as I understand the female plight and the feminists that are advocating for equality, Sadly, it's a man's world. That's what it is naturally. It is evident in most aspects of life. From the bottom to the top except in few occasions. Even those advocating deep inside know this or will know this when the time is right and they notice their limitations. I feel you people have made fighting a norm, and the way forward should be having a heart to heart. Talk about stopping the fights - if not for anything for the sake of the unborn. Talk about everything that happened, the apologies will come naturally. I feel both of you need to apologise to each other. Specifically him for beating you and you for your little adventures that riled him up. Those telling you to leave the marriage or not might be right or wrong. One thing is sure that they won't be with you to face the consequences of any decision you take. So thread carefully. These are my opinions. And I am also suspecting OP is a white lady, then these opinions would slightly change due to cultural differences. |

Kiddogarcia: you won't even see a woman to marry you, with this kind of mentality Hahaha....you think so? You seem like a kid with a shadowed viewpoint. I will like to know your weak mentality where it is okay for a WIFE to secretly go out with a good male friend and cannot inform you if nothing is up between them. After plans have been made for him to visit, if you both had new plans to go out, why not still inform me? If you cannot be assertive and protect what is yours, how won't you lose it to someone more assertive? Hope that mentality takes you far in marriage. As a guy, any woman that takes a liking to you (married or not) that you have intentions (and this is men's default - intentions) , you know how easy it is to bed her. And you expect the husband to let you to be wilding with her while he pats you on the back. Well done. |

You hide such information from your husband, you are most likely sleeping with the "good male friend" or have plans to.
He was wrong for brutalizing you, but it seems as you are abroad, you've lost all the values.
I pray I don't end up with a woman like you that will go on secret "dates" in marriage with "good" friends even while pregnant. |

gogedda: Finally landed 2 weeks ago as a single man. Passed through Immigration and customs without no problem in MMIA. Both Luggage were over 23 kg while carry on was over 7 kg. The guys at Ethiopian airline stand allowed me to add more weight to the carry on to make it 12kg while the luggages were left at 25kg each. Trip to Adisabba was long, and then Dublin and then Toronto. Couldn't eat the food served in the plane, only ate the bread and Red wine. Landed on Saturday, went through immigration and customs in Toronto without any problem and then the final leg of the journey to Calgary. I am currently staying with a friend who is married. I have done my SIN, Health Card, bought a sim, visited 2 immigration services (CCIS and Mustard seed ministry) in downtown. I was able to get a reduced bus pass for the month of June and paid $37.5 instead of $104 or so. If you are less than 30yrs, You can visit CCIS, they have a 2 weeks employment training. I met a Nigerian there and he told me about the training and also showed me his check . If you attend it without missing a class , they will pay you $900. I couldn't do it cos I am over that age. I have also learnt the bus and train route system after downloading the Calgary transit app. I am also currently studying for the Alberta driver's license exam. Both fields that I have experience in (Geoscience & Real estate )are licensed here, so I am currently looking for a job while I prepare to do a 2 yrs course in SAIT. Please kindly link me up if you have any. Thanks The pass should be 5 dollar a month. If you have your tax return done |
