You are correct when you say that children receive an automatic ticket to heaven because they are pure of heart and innocent, and God would not punish them for sins they know nothing about. My earlier response was based on my experiences with Christian preachers in my youth, who would preach that if we failed to believe Jesus died for our sins or accept him, we were destined for hell. I remember wondering what I had done at such a young age to earn God’s anger, and that His peace could only come if I accepted Jesus. As Muslims, we believe in Jesus but regard him as a prophet, and our judgment will be by Jehovah, who sent Jesus—not by man.

Regarding your opinion about destiny, I believe you are mistaken because destiny is real. Much of what happens on earth is already predestined by the Creator. This explains why some individuals can foresee events and make prophecies. Do you think anything truly new happens in God’s eyes? Everything is simply unfolding according to His will. God’s plan for your life is your destiny. As the Quran says, "Man proposes, and God disposes" (Quran 76:30). Similarly, the Bible states in Proverbs 16:9, "In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps." Even Jesus himself had to submit to God’s will (Matthew 26:39). Isaiah 46:10 also states: "I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please." So, God is not watching new things unfold—His plan is simply being realized.

More broadly, what you are and everything about you has been destined by God. This is why sorcerers sometimes seem to know intimate details about your life, your identity, and your future. They are not supernatural beings but are reading signs that God has already written—for example, some believe that much of our life’s path is written on our palms, although few can interpret it. With spiritual knowledge (ilmu ruhani), even a little information such as your name and your mother’s name can reveal much about your past, present, and future (though such practices are forbidden in Islam). They can describe many life events, including details about your spouse and children.

As for whether one is destined for heaven or hell, Islam teaches that much is already recorded about you. God has predestined many aspects of life—only a few are within our control. The Bible echoes this in Romans 8:29-30: "For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son... And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified."

What can change our destiny? Only the One who predestined it can change it—when we pray sincerely and He answers, our destiny may be altered according to His will.

The most logical thing for the "perfect" programmer to do is avoid that feature. But if he must use the feature, he'd ensure that he checks that feature, reconfigure it to ensure that it doesn't introduce bugs to the app in the future.

My point is that, since God is perfect and all-knowing, he sees the end from the beginning, he or she would have known that giving man free will would be at man's detriment.

Most funny part is that he gave man freewill and cast man into damnation for exercising the freewill. Most illogical thing anyone can do.

More like telling your teenage daughter that she's free to do whatever she think feels good to her. You're giving her freewill. And then she gets pregnant, comes to the house, and then you throw her out of the house.

Also, like watching your toddler put his hand on a burning candle, he cries after getting burnt. And then u scold the toddler for touching the burning candle.

Lol, I used to be a Christian, but I had a lot of questions. Whenever I tried to get clarifications, I was told that somethings were beyond understanding and that I should just accept things as they were and stop questioning.

For my peace of mind, I had to leave Christianity and decided to live my life outside the realm of religion. The peace of mind post this decision I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Anyways, I was surprised to see a thread I made a long time ago resurface, and then I look at it and found it was just arguements and justifications. When it comes to these arguments, two statements come to mind.
The first is from Imām Mālik (رحمه الله), who said:
> “Whenever a man comes to us more skilled in argument than another, should we then abandon what Jibrīl brought to Muḥammad ﷺ because of his debating skill?”
Like really think about that.

And the second is from Imām al-Shāfiʿī (رحمه الله):
> “Whenever I argued with an ignorant person, he defeated me; but when I debated with a scholar, I defeated him.”
Meaning: You can’t win with ignorance, because the ignorant don’t seek truth. And they come up with all kinds of falsehoods to justify their points. This is not new, Allah said:
“And those who disbelieve argue with falsehood, to refute therewith the truth. And they treat My Ayāt, and that with which they are warned, as jest.”
— [Sūrat al-Kahf, 18:56]
The truth is there’s no real point in trying to “win” an argument. Because most of the time, people aren’t searching for truth — they’re just inflating their ego.
And when two desires clash, there’s no agreement. Islam came with truth, and the truth is meant to lead you toward what benefits you. After that, it’s your choice whether to accept it or turn away.
Allah said:
“Whoever does righteous good deed, it is for (the benefit of) his ownself; and whoever does evil, it is against his ownself; and your Lord is not at all unjust to (His) slaves.”
— [Sūrat Fuṣṣilat, 41:46]
If someone sincerely wants to know whether Islam is true, that’s a different matter, and you can speak to them, clarify, and invite them gently. But most arguments aren’t like that. You can tell from people’s words and tone that they’re not really looking for truth. Here’s the thing: when someone wants to reject something, it doesn’t matter if you bring them a hundred proofs — they’ll still find a reason to deny it. Likewise, when someone wants to justify something, they’ll always find an excuse for it. Allah said:
“And even if We had sent down unto them the angels, and the dead had spoken unto them, and We had gathered together all things before their very eyes, they would not have believed, unless Allāh willed; but most of them behave ignorantly.”
So at the end of the day, what are you trying to achieve? If you’re defending Islam, know that no statement of theirs will as much as brush it. And if you’re defending your ego, you follow the true religion with the greatest proofs & justifications, then that’s not what Islam came to teach. Allah created you for a purpose, and if you fulfill that purpose, you’ve succeeded.
When you reflect on the Qur’an, you see that Allah calls you toward goodness — to be aware of Him, to do deeds that please Him, to guard yourself from Shayṭān and his whispers, and to stay away from what leads to evil.
Allah says in Sūrat az-Zumar (39:9):
Is one who is obedient to Allah, prostrating himself or standing (in prayer) during the hours of the night, fearing the Hereafter and hoping for the Mercy of his Lord (like one who disbelieves)? Say: “Are those who know equal to those who know not?” It is only men of understanding who will remember

Allah describes a man who spends the night standing in prayer, prostrating before Him, fearing the Hereafter, and hoping for His mercy. Now think about that person — do you think he’ll give time to arguing about which religion is true or piling up proofs against others? No. His concern is with his own soul — his mistakes, his repentance, his fear of punishment and hope for forgiveness, his longing for Allah’s mercy.
If you know the history of the Prophets, then you know that this is simply history repeating itself. Like it’s said; History is simply people repeating the same mistake.

So when people start these arguments, the best thing to do is to simply ignore them. Hopefully, some will find benefit in this.

Divination: Sihr can be used to predict the future or gain knowledge about hidden matters, which is considered a form of seeking knowledge from sources other than Allah.

Sihr mentioned in the Qur'an!
Allah says what means:
They followed what the Shayatin (devils) gave out (falsely of the magic) in the lifetime of Sulaiman (Solomon). Sulaiman did not disbelieve, but the Shayatin (devils) disbelieved, teaching men magic and such things that came down at Babylon to the two angels, Harut and Marut, but neither of these two (angels) taught anyone (such things) till they had said, "We are only for trial, so disbelieve not (by learning this magic from us)." And from these (angels) people learn that by which they cause separation between man and his wife, but they could not thus harm anyone except by Allah's Leave. And they learn that which harms them and profits them not. And indeed they knew that the buyers of it (magic) would have no share in the Hereafter. And how bad indeed was that for which they sold their ownselves, if they but knew.

The story in Surah Baqarah (2:102) above focuses on the disbelief of the devils who taught people magic and the two angels, Harut and Marut, who were sent to test people. Prophet Sulaiman (AS) was known for his wisdom, justice, and reliance on Allah.

Ruling of Disbelief on Anyone Who Practices Sihr:
Practicing Sihr is considered a major sin that leads to disbelief (kufr). The Qur'an states that those who practice Sihr are "disbelievers" (Surah Baqarah 2:102 quoted above in blue). This is because Sihr involves seeking power and knowledge from sources other than Allah, which contradicts the fundamental belief in the oneness of Allah. So know that a person may be praying Salah or doing other Islamic deeds and not be a Muslim by being involved in Sihr!

Encouraging Muslims to Rely on Allah Alone:
The Qur'an and Sunnah emphasize the importance of relying solely on Allah for protection and guidance. Here are some verses that encourage this reliance:

"And if any of you is afflicted with a calamity, then invoke Me (by supplication). I will remove it from you." (Surah Al-An'am 6:40)
"And say: "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils. And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they come near me." (Surah An-Naas 114:4-5)

"And when My servants ask you concerning Me, then (tell them) I am indeed near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me and believe in Me, that they may be rightly guided." (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:186)

Verses for Warding Off Sihr and Harm:
"And We send down from the Qur'an that which is a healing and a mercy for the believers." (Surah Al-Isra 17:82)

"Say: "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind, the King of mankind, the God of mankind, from the evil of the whisperer who withdraws (himself), who whispers in the breasts of mankind, from among the jinn and mankind." (Surah An-Nas 114:1-4)

"And recite what has been revealed to you of the Book and establish prayer. Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing. And the remembrance of Allah is greater. And Allah knows what you do." (Surah Al-Ankabut 29:45)

Seeking Protection from Sihr:
Reciting the Qur'an: [/b]Reciting the Qur'an, especially Surah Al-Baqarah, Surah Al-A'raf, Surah Yunus, and Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas (the last two chapters of the Qur'an), is a powerful way to seek protection from Sihr.

[b]Seeking refuge in Allah: Regularly seeking refuge in Allah from the evil of Sihr and the whispers of the devil is essential.

Performing good deeds: Engaging in acts of worship, charity, and kindness can help strengthen one's faith and ward off the effects of Sihr.

Remember, the best protection from Sihr is to strengthen your faith in Allah, seek His refuge, and rely on His guidance.

And lastly get the book Hisnul Muslim or citadel of the believer for authentic daily du'as from the Qur'an and Sunnah!
