Ohyoudidnt: The first Battle is that of Mutah? What led to it? Two or three Muslims left their Arabian territory and went into some cities of the Byzantines to ask them to follow Mohammed and his Allah and they were executed. Mohammed decided to wage that war against them according to his own reasons. Ohyoudidnt: How much of the tax you pay assuming you pay goes into your protection wherever you live? Ohyoudidnt: False claim! I didn't write this: The expansion of Byzantine Christianity was intimately connected with the political ambitions of the Byzantine emperors, eager always to spread their influence throughout the Balkan and Russian lands, to Syria, the Holy Land, Egypt, and even the coasts of Italy. As Constantinople grew in power, other independent ecclesiastical centers, such as Antioch and Alexandria, diminished. In time, especially through heresies and the ravages of the Arab conquests, Alexandria and Antioch were reduced to nothing, and Constantinople stood indisputably as the supreme head of all the Orthodox Churches. This paved the way for one liturgical rite and one language (Greek) within the vast confines of the Byzantine Empire and left the non-Byzantine liturgical rites, such as the Antiochene (Syrian) and Alexandrian (Coptic), to develop only among the Oriental Orthodox Christians who modified the content and substituted their own national languages.

In 330 A.D., the first Christian ruler of the Roman empire, Constantine the Great, transferred the ancient imperial capital from Rome to the city of Byzantion located on the easternmost territory of the European continent, at a major intersection of east-west trade. The emperor renamed this ancient port city Constantinople (“the city of Constantine”) in his own honor; it was also called the “New Rome,” owing to the city’s new status as political capital of the Roman empire. The Christian, ultimately Greek-speaking state ruled from that city would come to be called Byzantium by modern historians, although the empire’s medieval citizens described themselves as “Rhomaioi,” Romans, and considered themselves the inheritors of the ancient Roman empire.
The Beginning of Byzantium The first golden age of the empire, the Early Byzantine period, extends from the founding of the new capital into the 700s. Christianity replaced the gods of antiquity as the official religion of the culturally and religiously diverse state in the late wood. The practice of Christian monasticism developed in the fourth century, and continued to be an important part of the Byzantine faith, spreading from Egypt to all parts of the empire. https://www.metmuseum.org/toah/hd/byza/hd_byza.htm
Already under the reign of Constantine I, Christian heretics were being persecuted; beginning in the late 4th century, the ancient pagan religions were also actively suppressed. In the view of many historians, the Constantinian shift turned Christianity from a persecuted religion into a religion which was capable of persecuting and sometimes eager to persecute.
Christianity began as a movement within Second Temple Judaism, but the two religions gradually diverged over the first few centuries of the Christian Era.Today, differences of opinion vary between denominations in both religions, but the most important distinction is Christian acceptance and Jewish non-acceptance of Jesus as the Messiah prophesized in the Hebrew Bible and Jewish tradition. Did they not hate Islam for seeming to share some principles with Judaism.
In the view of many historians, the Constantinian shift turned Christianity from a persecuted religion into a religion which was capable of persecuting and sometimes eager to persecute.
Christianity in around the 4th Century managed to spread not only within the Roman Empire but to Germanic tribes beyond the frontier of the Empire like the Goths and Vandals (even if they initially adopted 'Arian' rather than Catholic Christianity), to Mesopotamia and to Ethiopia, which was [b]never conquered [/b]by the Romans and established its own independent kingdom.

The generous terms that the invading armies usually offered made their faith accessible to the conquered populations. Nafziger, Mark W. Walton, Islam at War: A History, 2003 It seems you are more comfortable with the history of the Byzantines than looking at the history around the revelation of the particular ayah of the Qur'an. The Question was: The two wars of Mohammed to the Byzantines was organised and led by the Muslims AGAINST the Byzantines or was it the Byzantines that led war expeditions against the Muslims? You said: Allah doesn't prefer to collect money from you. There is no compulsion in religion. You opt not to join our social defense but are fit and leave with us, you should contribute to the social peace unless you are unable to. So, what is Jizya? Protection fee of karfirs?! Allah and his Apostle prefer to collect money from us than convert us to Islam. You said:How many of the disciples of Jesus did Paul meet and lead? Did he not become a Jesus follower after the ascension? Would his following claims not ease his political machinations? Paul became a Christian while he was persecuting the Christians. However he was invited in fellowship with the other disciples AND they commissioned him to preach to the Gentiles. Acts 15:22: "Then pleased it the apostles and elders with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas and Silas, chief men among the brothers:" Acts 15:25: "It seemed good to us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,"
Acts 20:1: "And after the uproar was ceased, Paul called to him the disciples, and embraced them, and departed for to go into Macedonia."
Acts 20:7: "And on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached to them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight."
Acts 21:4: "And finding disciples, we tarried there seven days: who said to Paul through the Spirit, that he should not go up to Jerusalem."
Do you need more evidence that Paul was with the Apostles and Disciples of Jesus? If Jesus was a Muslim, were His disciples also Muslims? |

Ohyoudidnt: Citizens of the Byzantine Empire strongly identified as Christians, just as they identified as Romans. Emperors, seeking to unite their realm under one faith, recognized Christianity as the state religion and endowed the church with political and legal power. [/[b]b]Under some emperors, pagans were ordered to attend church and be baptized, and Jews and Samaritans were barred from receiving dowries or inheritances unless they converted.
The Byzantine army played a crucial role in spreading Christianity in enmity to Islam during the ancient times. As the Eastern Roman Empire, the Byzantine Empire was one of the major powers in the Mediterranean region, sharing borders with various Islamic civilizations. The Byzantine army was not only responsible for the defense of the empire but also for actively promoting Christianity as a way to resist the spread of Islam.
[b]One way in which the Byzantine army spread Christianity was through military conquests and campaigns. [/b]Numerous battles were fought between the Byzantine army and various Islamic forces, such as the Arab Caliphates. These military campaigns were often driven by the belief that a Christian victory would secure the dominance of Byzantine Christianity and halt the advance of Islam. The Byzantine army not only fought to protect their territories but also aimed to regain lost territories and spread Christianity into regions that had fallen under Islamic rule. See how you twist history. Islam came over 600 years AFTER Christianity had expanded that even Waraqa who lived amongst the Arabs was a Christian. However, it is this same Christians who needed to expand by conquest!? The two wars of Mohammed to the Byzantines was organised and led by the Muslims AGAINST the Byzantines or was it the Byzantines that led war expeditions against the Muslims? Christians don't need to conquer to spread the Love of Christ as it is NOT part of our Doctrine nor is it found ANYWHERE in the Bible . Why is it that Allah and his Mohammed prefer to collect money from us rather than convert us to Islam?

Ohyoudidnt: You use the term abrogate? In what sense? Which verse abrogates? What is the context of application? You want to look at the verse of Allah as applicable only during the time of Mohammed and no more applicable now because the situations are different. Ohyoudidnt: Did Madudi translate Jizya as humiliating tax or you?
Again you use the term humiliating tax. Indeed a wrong doer may feel some humiliation on being purnished however who is being purnished here? Al-Maududi says we Christians and Jews are guilty of Shirk and thus states that Jihad should be waged against us . Did you not read this from his tafsir? Secondly Did Alkah not say that we pay the Jizya UNTIL we feel subdued and humiliated ? Ohyoudidnt: Quote the verses directly as translated not paraphrased and name the translator. Your paraphrase reeks of your characteristic manipulation. It was from one of your Islamic sites sir. https://www.islamicstudies.info/tafheem.php?sura=9&verse=25&to=29Ohyoudidnt: Is the humiliation a result of having their wrong doings curtailed? You seem to adopt the narcissist position of victim here.
While some Christians may argue for victimhood based on their perceived marginalization or discrimination throughout history, it is important to consider the historical context and acknowledge that the Tabuk affair was an act of aggression directed towards the Islamic community. Therefore, claiming victim status based on this event is unwarranted as it fails to recognize the broader historical realities.
The Tabuk affair was a direct military confrontation initiated by a Christian army against the Muslim community during a time when religious tensions were high. The conflict was not one-sided, with both Muslims and Christians engaging in hostile actions. However, it is crucial to acknowledge the historical context surrounding the Tabuk affair. Christianity had been established as a dominant and politically influential religion in various regions, whereas Islam was emerging as a newly established faith. Consequently, the Christian invasion of the Islamic holy city served as a threat to the religious autonomy and security of the Muslim community. 1. When Mohammed fled from Mecca to the Christian king Najashi of Abyssinia for protection they were not of wrong doing were they? 2. Why was it proper to take refuge with wrong doers in Abyssinia while you were weak only to seek their Humiliation and destruction when you became strong? 3. You may accuse the Jews of being hostile to the Muslims during the time of Mohammed BUT what examples do you have of Christian hostility? Note: 1. The Tabuk confrontation, also known as the Expedition of Tabuk, took place in 630 AD. 2. It was a military expedition led by the Islamic prophet Muhammad against the Byzantine Empire's northern Arabian territories. 3. The confrontation aimed to deter perceived potential Byzantine attacks on the nascent Muslim community in Medina. 4. Muhammad mobilized a large number of followers for this expedition, which was notable for its challenging conditions, including harsh weather and scarcity of resources. 4. The Byzantine forces, however, did not engage in battle, and the Muslims returned to Medina without conflict. Please learn your history. You Muslims were the aggressor here not the Byzantines. If you think the Byzantines attacked Muslims in Medina I challenge you bring forth your evidence |

paxonel: from the quran text you quoted, i notice that the instruction was Muslims to fight other religion adherents apart from Christians and the Jews.
It says and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture (Christians and Jews) -
Meaning, Christians and Jews were given the scriptures which is the religion of truth. Therefore Muslims should fight those who do not adopt this religion of truth that was given to Christians and the Jews. Ofcourse, we know that this religion of truth isn't Islam, but Christianity.
But does it mean that today Muslims have failed to see this quran text this way, therefore they see themselves fighting Christians and the Jews? We can only go by how Muslims of old interpreted the verse. 1. The Religion of truth as far as Muslims are concerned is Islam 2. The Primary enemy to be fought are Idolaters (these are to be killed except they convert to Islam) 3. The Christians and Jews are taken as Idolaters BUT the only difference is that IF they chose not to convert to Islam, they are to be levied Jiyza to a point of Humiliation.
They are actually Commanded to fight ALL non muslims. The difference is that of options given to us Christians and Jews with options given to others |

Ohyoudidnt: The verseQ9:29 is often misinterpreted due to its historical context and language complexities. Madudi, a renowned Islamic scholar, provides a comprehensive exegesis on this verse to address the misunderstandings surrounding it. In his interpretation, Madudi emphasizes the defensive nature of Islam and the specific historical circumstances under which this verse was revealed.
Quran 9:29 instructs Muslims to fight against those who oppress them and threaten their existence. He clarifies that the verse does not promote an offensive or unprovoked aggression, but rather stands as a defensive measure.
Madudi further highlights that the verse refers to the specific conflict between the Muslims of Medina and the Byzantine Empire, which sought to exterminate the nascent Islamic community. Thus, the verse restricts the application of force to only those cases where Muslims face direct persecution.
In his exegesis, Madudi provides a balanced view of Quran 9:29, shedding light on its historical context and true meaning. His interpretation clarifies misconceptions and puts to rest any claims of Islam promoting violence. By highlighting the defensive nature of Islam and the specific circumstances of the verse's revelation, Madudi firmly establishes the intended message to be a call for self-defense, rather than aggression. This analysis encourages a more nuanced understanding of the Quran, fostering peace and interfaith dialogue.
This verse addresses the Muslim community during a time of conflict with the polytheists and People of the Book. He argues that Jizya, a tax imposed on non-Muslim citizens in an Islamic state, is not a discriminatory measure but rather a means to maintain social stability and security. Maududi emphasizes that Jizya does not target all non-Muslims but specifically aims to finance the protection provided to non-Muslim minorities within the Islamic state. Almost every verse of the Qur'an has its historical source isn't it? Tell me, 1. Is Allah's commands in the Qur'an just for the time of Mohammed or for all ages? 2. What is the basis to imply the abrogation of Quran9:29? Quran9:29: "Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture (Christians and Jews) - [fight] until they give the jizyah (Humiliating Tax) willingly while they are humbled."Part of what you didn't add to your basis was that this verse was given to Muslims as a compensation for their loss of Revenue form the Kaaba. For the mushriks were prohibited not only from the performance of Hajj and attendance at the AlMasjid-AlHaram but also from entering into its sacred precincts. Qur'an 9:28 (paraphrased) Believers, those who associate others with Allah in His Divinity are unclean. So, after the expiry of this year, let them not even go near the Sacred Mosque. And should you fear poverty, Allah will enrich you out of His bounty, if He wills. Surely Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.Allah then gave a way out to make money: Fight those who who do not believe in Allah including the Jews and Christians. Qur'an 9:29 (paraphrased) Those who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day - even though they were given the scriptures, and who do not hold as unlawful that which Allah and His Messenger have declared to be unlawful, and who do not follow the true religion - fight against them until they pay tribute out of their hand and are utterly subdued. This is the proper historical basis after the battle of Hunain Again1. Is Allah's commands in the Qur'an just for the time of Mohammed or for all ages? 2. What is your basis to imply the abrogation of Quran9:29? 3. If the Jizya imposed on Jews and Christians are out of love (for our protection), why must we feel subdued in appreciating your kindness? 4. Is Maududi Al-Qur'an Tafsir Qur'an 9:29 wrong? 5. Is Tafsir Ibn Kathir Qur'an 9:29 wrong? |

honesttalk21: Historically, jizyah was an institution which protected minorities in exchange for a tributary tax. This institution existed before Islam and, after Islam’s birth, outside of it as well. That is to say, it was a historical norm, especially in the Near East.
Today, no Islamic country on earth imposes the jizyah. (However, at one point in time, the Taliban and ISIS regimes did claim to demand jizyah, but they are no longer able to do so due to their [fortunate] downfalls.)
According to what is taught at Al-Azhar University, jizyah is no longer applicable. [/b]This is due to contractually-binding multilateral agreements and international law, such that all the people of the world now fall under the category of mu’ahids (contractually protected persons), and not dhimmis.
[b]However, Islamophobes will continue to scaremonger about jizyah and dhimmis.
Copied
The context of the fight should be understood as working against those that oppose you and prevent you in countries where this law is applied. A hypothetical position is taken here.
Some people have falsely concluded from verse 9:29, that Muslims are commanded to attack all non-Muslims until they pay money. In fact, such an interpretation is completely false and contradicts authentic Islamic teachings.
Commenting on this verse, Shaykh Jalal Abualrub writes:
These Ayat (Quranic verses) stress the necessity of fighting against the People of the Scripture, but under what conditions? The Islamic State is not permitted to attack non-Muslims who are not hostile to Islam, who do not oppress Muslims, or try to convert Muslims by force from their religion, or expel them from their lands, or wage war against them, or prepare for attacks against them.
If any of these offenses occurs, however, Muslims are permitted to defend themselves and protect their religion. Muslims are not permitted to attack non-Muslims who signed peace pacts with them, or non-Muslims who live under the protection of the Islamic State. (Abualrub, Holy Wars, Crusades, Jihad)
Likewise, the following fatwa points out that Muslims cannot attack a peaceful non-Muslim country: Sheikh Hânî al-Jubayr, judge at the Jeddah Supreme Court says if the non-Muslim country did not attack the Muslim one nor mobilize itself to prevent the practice and spread of Islam, nor transgress against mosques, nor work to oppress the Muslim people in their right to profess their faith and decry unbelief, then it is not for the Muslim country to attack that country. Jihâd of a military nature was only permitted to help Muslims defend their religion and remove oppression from the people.
The Persians and Romans did in fact aggress against Islam and attack the Muslims first.
The Chosroe of Persia had gone so far as to order his commander in Yemen specifically to kill the Prophet (peace be upon him). The Romans mobilized their forces to fight the Prophet (peace be upon him), and the Muslims confronted them in the Battles of Mu’tah and Tabûk during the Prophet’s lifetime.
As for fighting the Jews (People of the Scripture), they had conducted a peace pact with the Messenger after he migrated to Madinah. Soon afterwards, they betrayed the peace pact and joined forces with the pagans and the hypocrites against Muslims. They also fought against Muslims during the Battle of A`hzab , then Allah revealed…[and he cites verse 9:29] (Sayyid Sabiq, Fiqhu as-Sunnah, Vol. 3, p. 80)
I cannot categorically say for the government's of these countries but information on current occurences in Afghanistan cannot be guaranteed to not exert any compulsion on you. However many non muslims live peacefully and cordially in Saudi Arabia.

Ohyoudidnt: We take reservation to the interpretation of this as a humiliating tax.
The notion that Jizya is a humiliating tax is a fallacy based on misunderstandings and misconceptions. Jizya, a tax historically levied on non-Muslim citizens in Islamic states, is not intended as a means to humiliate or discriminate against certain individuals. Rather, it serves as a financial obligation to supplement the duties Muslims are responsible for, such as military service and Zakat. It is a testament to the inclusive nature of Islamic societies, as Jizya allows non-Muslims the freedom to practice their own faith while benefiting from state protection. Viewing Jizya as humiliating is to overlook its intended purpose and perpetuates false stereotypes, as it is merely a way to ensure fairness and social cohesion in diverse communities. Are you saying that your scholars such as Maududi and Al-Jalalyn telling lies? Allah Says:Quran9:29: "Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture (Christians and Jews) - [fight] until they give the jizyah (Humiliating Tax) willingly while they are humbled." Allah is simply saying 1. Fight the non Muslims AND 2. For the Christians and Jews, give them the OPTION of Jizya if they don't want to die. 3. The Jews and Christians should be made to willingly PAY the Jizya in Humiliation. So that you see your lies1. Maududi Al-Qur'an Tafsir Qur'an 9:29 a. Though the people of the Book professed to believe in Allah and the Hereafter, in fact they believed in neither. b. But according to this definition of shirk both the Christians and the Jews were guilty of shirk as has been made plain in the verses that follow: therefore their profession of belief in Allah was meaningless. Likewise they did not really believe in the Hereafter, in spite of the fact that they believed in Resurrection. c. Al-Maududi, even classifies Christians and Jews as guilty of Shirk and therefore should be treated as infidels. 2. Therefore, when People of the Scriptures disbelieved in Muhammad , they had no beneficial faith in any Messenger or what the Messengers brought. Rather, they followed their religions because this conformed with their ideas, lusts and the ways of their forefathers, not because they are Allah's Law and religion. Had they been true believers in their religions, that faith would have directed them to believe in Muhammad , because all Prophets gave the good news of Muhammad's advent and commanded them to obey and follow him. Yet when he was sent, they disbelieved in him, even though he is the mightiest of all Messengers. Therefore, they do not follow the religion of earlier Prophets because these religions came from Allah, but because these suit their desires and lusts. Therefore, their claimed faith in an earlier Prophet will not benefit them because they disbelieved in the master, the mightiest, the last and most perfect of all Prophets . Hence Allah's statement,

For your information again!
Romans 13:1-7 New International Version Submission to Governing Authorities 13 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience. 6 This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. 7 Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.
I see you like covet what is not yours and claim a dominance that doesn't befit you.
What do you know of the reason why Q9:29 was revealed? The Verse Q 9:29 is was revealed on the occasion of Tabuk expedition. When in the year 9 AH the Prophet marched to Tabuk in Syria for the invasion of those of the Greeks, Amilah, Lakhm, Judham and others WHOM HE LEARNT HAD ASSEMBLED AGAINST HIM, he met no resistance. So he spent a few days in Tabuk, whose inhabitants made terms with him agreeing to pay poll-tax.”
Of course you ignore the records in Encyclopedia Britannica.
It is crucial to understand that jizya is not imposed on the basis of one's faith but as a financial obligation to protect non-Muslims and ensure their welfare. It serves as an alternative to military service and is an acknowledgement of the rights and privileges enjoyed by non-Muslims in an Islamic society.
The Tabuk expedition was a defensive measure undertaken by Prophet Muhammad to protect the Muslim community from potential attacks by the Byzantine Empire. 1. What have I said below that is an error? 2. Why would you not respond to my various questions but only restate your position. If you had only responded to each of my questions, you would have notice that your Plea for Romans 13:1-7 is taken care of by the number 1 (If I chose to live in Saudi Arabia..) But, as usual, you wouldn't respond to questions but continue to spew out memorised Islamic doctrines Here again was what I wrote TenQ: 1. If I choose to go live in Saudi Arabia or Afghanistan and they say I must pay the Jizya, that would be okay isn't it?
But is this what Allah is saying!? No!
2. Allah Says:
Quran9:29: "Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture (Christians and Jews) - [fight] until they give the jizyah (Humiliating Tax) willingly while they are humbled."
A. Fight those who do NOT believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful Does Allah say where!? No!
Except otherwise proven, it means everywhere Muslims encounter those who do NOT believe in Allah, they should fight them.
B. In addition to the ABOVE Allah says: And those who did not adopt the religion of truth Please, what is the Religion of Truth here? Is it Christianity or Judaism?
Allah specifies that these people were the ones given the scripture in your Qur'an
Please who were the ones given the scripture?
Should Muslims follow this command of Allah or ignore it as part of Allah's command to Muslims?
Fight them Until until the Jews and Christians give the jizyah (Humiliating Tax) willingly while they are humbled.
How can it be clearer than this?
Allah is simply saying 1. Fight the non Muslims AND 2. For the Christians and Jews, give them the OPTION of Jizya if they don't want to die. 3. The Jews and Christians should be made to willingly PAY the Jizya in Humiliation.
So that you see your lies 1. Likewise they did not really believe in the Hereafter, in spite of the fact that they believed in Resurrection. c. The second reason why Jihad should be waged against them is that they did not adopt the Law sent down by Allah through His Messenger.
Al-Maududi, even classifies Christians and Jews as guilty of Shirk and therefore should be treated as infidels.

honesttalk21: Present your verse on the perfect man will you!
And mention] when the angels said, 'O Mary, indeed Allah gives you good tidings of a word from Him , whose name will be the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary - distinguished in this world and the Hereafter and among those brought near [to Allah ].
Tidings refers to information about recent and important events. Good tidings then are information considered good or liked.
Word(s) from someone can pass a message that reaches beyond the mere utterance; they have the power to touch hearts, inspire change, and ignite a fire within. Whether it be whispered words of encouragement, impassioned speeches that provoke action, or thought-provoking prose . So with respect to the above verse can clear understanding been gotten if we say:
[And mention] when the angels said, 'O Mary, indeed Allah gives you likeable information of what in this case who will inspire chanhe from Him , whose name will be the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary - distinguished in this world and the Hereafter and among those brought near [to Allah ].
Were Mary's thoughts not provoked pondering how she will conceive despite being a virgin and not having contact with a man? Take note among those brought near to Allah.
And you see in 3:47 Mary wondered, "My Lord! How can I have a child when no man has ever touched me?" An angel replied, "So will it be. Allah creates what He wills. When He decrees a matter, He simply tells it, 'Be!' And it is!
The phrase "kunfayakun" is a powerful and profound expression found in the Quran, the holy book of Islam. Translated as "Be, and it is," it reflects the belief in Allah's supreme power and ability to create and bring into existence simply through His command. This divine phrase serves as a reminder to humanity of Allah's omnipotence and control over everything in the universe.
By uttering the word "kunfayakun," Allah demonstrates His ability to bring about creation out of nothingness. It illustrates His limitless power and authority as the ultimate Creator. This phrase also highlights the concept of tawheed, the Islamic belief in the oneness of Allah. It reinforces the belief that Allah is the sole creator of the universe, and any form of creation occurs solely due to His will.
Moreover, "kunfayakun" serves as a source of inspiration and comfort for Muslims. It reminds them that Allah is always present and capable of fulfilling their needs or desires. Please go and rest for today. Repeating FALSEHOOD a million times will not convert it into the truth! |

honesttalk21: How is this done with humiliation? Do you confuse a general resistance to pay tax with humiliation? Perharps to the except who are made to pay the tax as a form of retribution for their rumours found to be false. You categorically state that every Christian is obligated to pay the Jizya. Is the latter statement true?
Is paying a tax to government on your earnings optional?
Do you know the benefits of paying the Jizya to those who pay? https://islamqa.org/hanafi/seekersguidance-hanafi/241699/is-it-true-that-some-non-muslims-are-exempt-from-jizya/
Jizya, a tax levied on non-Muslim subjects in Islamic states, has been a subject of controversy throughout history. While some argue that it is a form of religious compulsion, it is important to acknowledge its potential benefits. Jizya served as a financial tool for Muslim rulers to ensure the protection and security of non-Muslim communities under their governance. In exchange for paying the tax, non-Muslims were granted certain rights and protections, such as exemption from military service and the freedom to practice their faith. By establishing this system, Jizya aimed to foster social harmony and coexistence between different religious groups, ultimately promoting stability and prosperity within the Islamic state.
You have fallen so much in love with Taqiyya that you practice it very often. Are you familiar with the statement you become what you detest?
The Jizya and Its Wisdom Jizya is a form of tax levied on certain non-Muslim individuals who choose to live within a state governed by the Shari’a. The Shari’a aims to establish justice and equity. Non-Muslims who wish to live in such a state and benefit from this are required to pay a nominal amount to do so.
In return, they are treated as the Muslims citizens are, given the freedom to practice their religions, given protection by the state and its army, not required to fight, etc. Ultimately, the jizya acts as an encouragement for them to accept Islam and benefit in this life and the next.
Are Women, Children, and the Weak Excluded From Paying It? Yes, according to the Hanafi school, at least, children, women, old men, the disabled, the blind, the poor who cannot work, and monks who restrict themselves to their monasteries do not pay the jizya. [Halabi, Multaqa al-Abhur]
Below are some narrations establishing this:
Umar wrote the commanders of the (Muslim) armies telling them to collect the jizya, but not from women and children. [Abu ‘Ubayd, al-Amwal] The work has additional narrations including the weak, those who cannot work, etc, based on the commands of ‘Umar b. ‘Abd al ‘Aziz, which he deduced from the actions of ‘Umar b. al Khattab in the coming narration.
Abu Bakr al-Absi said he saw ‘Umar speak to an old man of the non-Muslims who said he didn’t have any wealth and that the jizya was taken from Him. Umar said, “We haven’t been fair to you.” He then wrote to the Governors of the precincts commanding them not to take the jizya from old men. Imam Abu Yusuf added the category of the blind in his narration. [Abu Yusuf, al-Kharaj] I pray this helps. [Shaykh] Abdul-Rahim
Jizya is often misunderstood and misrepresented as a form of religious taxation imposed on non-Muslims in Islamic states. However, a careful analysis of historical records and scholarly research reveals a more nuanced and accurate understanding of Jizya. It was not a means of religious persecution, but rather a form of tax paid by non-Muslims in exchange for protection, as they were exempted from military service.

You did negate the word of Allah as shown. Did Allah not say the the WORD is Jesus, son of Mary? Do you think the gospel was localized to Isreal alone? dboY1123: My previous post about a big school that called me for an Interview, Well I actually went there, did my test and when I was asked to come in for Micro Teaching where I was faced with Staff of the school and maybe the principal, I flopped and panicked heavily. The fear was well written all over my face and I was just saying rubbish despite choosing to teach "Matter" as my topic. Immediately I came in and they asked for my name and few other questions before the micro teaching, my voice was already shaking as if I have never taught before in my life(they noticed and told me to calm down).
Although I am an introvert, I hardly face audience talk more of strangers and the quest to ensure that I performed, those things enveloped/swallowed me completely. I have never taught in such a big school before, I think my qualification was what made them approach me in the first place. One of the staff kept throwing questions at me, I mean confusing questions just to know my depth of knowledge in the particular topic, and guess what? I flopped totally and became disorganized. But luckily, there was a man among the panel who gave me the option of coming back and prove myself that I am a qualified teacher as stated in my CV or I should take another topic I'm more comfortable with. So, I opted to leave and come back so I can regain my confidence.
Now, I have been given enough time to go and make research and convince them on Monday. How do I conquer that fear and what are the things they look so I can prepare hard. Thank you. You don't have to change the topic. Changing it means you are not comfortable with some topics in the field. honesttalk21: Be wary of the mischievous: جِزْيَة = Jizya translates to mean Tribute
tribute is defined as: ● A gift, payment, declaration, or other acknowledgment of gratitude, respect, or admiration. ● Evidence attesting to some praiseworthy quality or characteristic. ● A payment in money or other valuables made by one ruler or nation to another in acknowledgment of submission or as the price of protection or security. ● A tax imposed for such payment. ● Any payment exacted for protection. ●A payment or tax given by a feudal vassal to an overlord. ●The obligation to make such a payment
jizyah, also spelled jizya, historically, a tax (the term is often incorrectly translated as a “head tax” or “poll tax”) paid by non-Muslim populations to their Muslim rulers.
The jizyah is described in the Qurʾān as a tax that is imposed on a certain erring faction from among the People of the Book (Ahl al-Kitāb; non-Muslim groups such as Christians and Jews recognized in the Qurʾān as possessing a divine scripture) who violate their own religious and ethical principles (9:29). Early exegetes understood the faction in this verse to be the hostile Byzantines, whose rumoured invasion of Muslim lands precipitated the military campaign of Tabūk in 630.
Note it's being applicable to a certain erring faction of Byzantines who rumoured an invasion By definition; A Tribute is an act, statement, or gift that is intended to show gratitude, respect, or admiration.Thank you, If it was a TRIBUTE as defined, why must it be done with humiliation? It is so easy to defeat Islamic Taqiyya: just ask them questions and the whole set of their lies scatter like a pack of cards1. Is the tribute OPTIONAL by Christians? 2. Now why are these good tidings necessary?
The Israelites were in tumultuous times under their leaders?
Before the arrival of Jesus, the situation in Israel was marked by a complex web of political, religious, and social dynamics. The region was under Roman occupation, which evoked a sense of resentment and struggle for independence among the Jewish population. The religious landscape was diverse but predominantly centered around Judaism, with multiple sects vying for influence, such as the Pharisees, Sadducees, and Essenes. The Jewish people yearned for the fulfillment of ancient prophecies and the coming of a Messiah who would liberate them from their oppressive circumstances
Luke 1:26-27 Now in the Gospel according to Luke The Birth of Jesus Is Announced 26 In the sixth month of Elizabeth's pregnancy God sent the angel Gabriel to a town in Galilee named Nazareth. 27 He had a message for a young woman promised in marriage to a man named Joseph, who was a descendant of King David. Her name was Mary.
Can we review that this word is the message?
Good tidings of a word is verbal or written or has a document like letter been exchanged?
Should we consider Peshitta, the standard version of the Bible used by Syriac-speaking Christians, and the Gospels lies in their original language. While the Peshitta is written in Syriac, a dialect of Aramaic, the Gospels were primarily written in Greek. This linguistic distinction impacts the interpretation and understanding of the texts, as the different languages possess their own nuances and cultural contexts. The Peshitta, being a translation from the Greek Gospels, provides insight into the Syriac Christian community's interpretation of the teachings of Jesus
Why are the Gospels primarily in Greek? Is there a primary Gospel in Hebrew anywhere as the Aramaic language is now no where or perhaps you can find the Gospel in Aramaic that could be translated? Are you saying that the Quran quoted below is wrong and Jesus is NOT the Word?According to Allah, the Good Tidings is the Word bestowed upon Mary is JESUS himself Quran 3:45 "[And mention] when the angels said, 'O Mary, indeed Allah gives you good tidings of a word from Him, whose name will be the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary - distinguished in this world and the Hereafter and among those brought near [to Allah ].'According to this verse above, What is the Name of the Word from Allah? Why are the Gospels primarily in Greek? Is there a primary Gospel in Hebrew anywhere as the Aramaic language is now no where or perhaps you can find the Gospel in Aramaic that could be translated? The Gospels were written in Greek because the language of Learning was Greek and Greek was more like English language of today. The day to day language of the Jews was Aramaic (Just like most northerners speak Hausa even though they have there traditional Language) Hebrew as a language they spoke in the Temple for worship (the Old testament was written ion Hebrew) Yes, people still spoke Aramaic now: this is the second time you are asking me this question. 1. The Syriac language, a dialect of Aramaic spoken today in the Mesopotamian Plateau between Syria and Iraq, was once used widely throughout the Middle East. https://www.neh.gov/humanities/2014/novemberdecember/curio/wherever-syriac-spoken 2. Northern Iraq has the largest concentration of Aramaic speakers in the world. Largely located in villages scattered north, east and southeast of Mosul, many of these villages have been depopulated and destroyed over the course of Iraqi history. https://catedra-unesco.espais.iec.cat/en/2016/03/08/11-the-assyrians-and-aramaic-speaking-the-oldest-living-language-of-the-middle-east/ 3.
