anonimi:Hahahaha! Always a key sign of folks with empty 'coconuts'. When pressed to substantiate claims, they start moving goal-posts. You claimed APC + other opposition parties 'should have impeached' GEJ because they had 'nearly 50%' in both houses. After being corrected and educated on what the Nigerian Constitution says, it has now changed to 'launched impeachment proceedings but could not get the 2/3rd'. ![]() Why would they launch a bid that would be doomed to failure? But good thing that it is known that during a crisis period, APC senators were trying to build alliances with some aggrieved PDP members to rid us of a mediocre leader. See link below http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/11/impeachment-apc-senators-embark-mobilization-jonathan/ ABUJA—All Progressives Congress, APC, Senators are allegedly making frantic moves towards mobilizing their members and aggrieved Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, senators to ensure the purported impeachment plot against President Goodluck Jonathan commences anytime the Senators meet next week.Waiting for you to move goalposts again, Mr TANoid ![]() |
To be honest, there's something seriously OFF about her response. Police broke into your house and carted away your 'husband's car' and your official car (that now belongs to you). You pen an open letter and not even once talk about going to court to pursue legal recourse to recovering your cars, or any other recovery measures you'd expect an aggrieved citizen to use! Nah, that just doesn't ring right with me. Nobody will surrender their personal cars without a fight. |
anonimi:To impeach a president, you need 2/3rd majority in both houses. Not 'nearly 50%' Later you will be calling your president 'dullard'. Smh |
This is what happens when a country's intelligence agencies are used to fish out criminals and terrorists instead of what we were seeing with the DSS under The previous administration when the DSS abandoned duty for politics. Thankfully, we have sterner stuff in Aso rock these days ... |
While I find some of those pictures cringeworthy, these are pictures from a private birthday party that should not end up on the front page of Nairaland. Have we run out of politicians and legislooters to name and shame that we are exposing a private citizen up to public ridicule ? |
Why waste time? Kill him as soon as possible. By hanging, preferably. |
Ezenwammadu:It's right there in the article. Can't you read ? |
This stuff could have been nipped in the bud a long time ago. But the last administration foolishly allowed this monster to grow and fester. Now the same people that say Buhari should not be given credit for the PHC refinery revamp "because it is not a one week effort" are the ones insisting that Buhari takes the blame for Boko Haram suicide bombing. This is what happens when your intelligence agencies are diverted to harassing your political opponents instead of fishing out bomb-makers and their suppliers. |
Tragic |
bluice2:if your idea of contact management is putting it in a Nokia 3310 dumbphone, that's laughable. OS update or not, my contacts are automatically synced to Google's servers. Barring nuclear warfare and an extinction event, my data is safe and ready to go in any new phone within minutes. |
biafransoul:Abeg which party was in power when these crazy allowances were put in place? |
chuna1985:GEJ claimed credit for it 2 years ago in that brochure he packaged. I bet you've forgotten that railway revival was also Yar'Adua's brainchild too? GEJ took credit for that, too. |
bigiyaro:TRANSLATION: "I don't understand any of this!!" |
DaGC:How can you 'beg to differ' when you aren't even sure? We were losing production during thecreek war because stations were shut down and pipelines were being blown. But the oil stayed in the ground, available for us to produce now in peacetime. Now, 400k barrels are being stolen daily, never to be seen again. All the talk about the Navy being equipped and yet it's Tompolo who is being paid fantastic sums to protect our waterways. Of what benefit is it to buy equipment and yet handicap the Navy by limiting their authority? |
DaGC:You are misinformed, sir. Oil bunkering has NEVER hit the heights it has hit under the GEJ administration. Even with the locals providing 'protection ', oil theft soared to 400k barrels per day. Give the locals the contract , but supervise. Stop all the ocean going smuggling crude oil from leaving the shores of this country. When they realize that there's nowhere to dispose of the stolen crude, let me see if they won't drastically cut back on oil bunkering or drink the crude. |
martyns303:And why shouldn't they cover it? It's a big news item, with many dying from this drink...and yet none of your local media stations has posted these pictures or educated you on how this crap is made. More of these, please! At least let this shame the State governments into cracking down on these. |
onatisi:He's been addressing the Boko haram menace. Reforging alliances with the neighboring countries. Discussing aid and collaboration with the G7 nations. Moved army base to maiduguri to ensure the army leadership sits up. Unfortunately, he cannot fix your IQ if you genuinely think it is 20 days since Friday, May 29th |
onatisi:Can you PLEASE tell me what an accent has to do with 'carriage'? Have you ever seen a picture of Buhari where he isn't standing tall and strong? You started talking about accent and now it's babbling about 'how to behave'. What does his accent have to do with his 'behavior'? Stop conflating issues and focus on important things. People who are being slaughtered by BH in borno are not interested in whether Buhari speaks with a crystal clear British accent or not |
Enahi:That doesn't have anything to do with this. Buhari IS speaking English. And it's not like he's struggling with 'big' words. It's just his accent we are discussing now. And that's colored by the first language he learnt to speak. I view this type of unimportant criticism as trivial, coming from those who are not intelligent enough to challenge our President on more weighty issues like security and the economy. |
Yes, because the Chinese leader speaks with a crystal clear British accent. The OP can continue to drown in his salty tears. It's gonna be a long 4 years... |
seunfape:Sorry. UNILAG is known by all UNIBEN is known by all FUNAAB? Nope. PS: Do something about your atrocious grammar, mon ami. |
It wouldn't have killed the OP to tell us what FUNAAB stood for. From a quick Google search,, Apparently it's Federal university of Agriculture, Abeokuta. |
In the case of the girl with the hot iron, best the police arrests the mother too for being an accomplice. Standing by while someone is inflicting permanent injury on a child with a hot iron... |
bodeoni:You must be joking. It's all about respect for people. Not sending a follow up email is just terrible behaviour. |
The pictures of the children there broke my heart. May their souls rest in peace. Amen |
NoMoreTrolling:Actually, Boko haram started fighting after Yusuf was killed, in yar'adua's tenure. So we've established that your own memory is suspect |
warrior01:You will likely never end up as respected as Soyinka, that's for sure. |
No he hasn't. Buhari supporters should be above this type of topic, to be honest. There is a clear metric for measuring improved power situation, and that's in the number of megawatts generated. Not the "I've had light in my area for a week now" anecdotal evidence. In comparing generated amount, you must also discount improvements from nature with the rains boosting generated power at our hydroelectric dams. We are still waiting for change in our power sector. It is our hope that Buhari does something , but let's not indulge in unwarranted praise. |
Better from the APC. At least they shouldn't be like the PDP that started accusing their NWC of theft and forced their chairman to resign. Still not the change I voted for just yet. Buhari needs to work faster. |
They robbed with guns? Armed robbery, then. Death penalty. Too bad. ceejay80s:Your posts were extremely daft back in 2008. 7 years down the line and you're still this daft. Pity |
handsomeclouds:Let the companies locally compete on quality and price. Why should locally assembled autos with crazy tax breaks and already reduced import duties be anywhere near as expensive as imported vehicles? |
AndreRose:On one hand you condemn jungle justice On the other, you are advocating 'inflicting a little injury'. Why? How? |
