History is about to repeat itself. Same way Buhari cancelled the Jakande housing scheme and the Metroline projects in the 80s is exactly the same step he is being advised to take.
Can you read?
He's been advised to cancel non-strategic contracts that have not been started or paid for. Do you know the meaning of the word 'strategic'?

calebo101:
At this point in time i think we should put Nigeria in our prayers everyday because the cloud is becoming darker and darker. The demons have taken over the reins of powers and they are taking us back to the 1980s. Where did we offend God as a nation? Why are we being punished?
We are not being 'punished' by any deity. We are just unfortunate to be afflicted with bad leadership and m0r0nic, ignorant jesters like yourself. Were we to rid ourselves of the likes of you, we would be a much better nation!

calebo101:
A committee headed by an 80 something years old man advising a 72 years old man without proper education portends calamity and serious danger for the nation. We have watched and seen Buhari acts in the last 30 days and anybody that still believes in the "change" mantra should be delivered. This is troublesome for Nigeria.
That '80 something years old man' is one of the most highly experienced Nigerians, and has participated in Govt handover sessions multiple times. I daresay he knows more about these things than you do.

calebo101:
May God deliver us and protect us for the next 4 years. We are in for it. Some regions have sold us finally to the devils and we are on a fast backward track to the 1980s. This time they intend making the vastly developed southern region look like the North. God help us, protect your people and let this next 4 years be swift and fast.
Stop talking about 'God' like you're a good person. You've been making ageist and tribalist comments in this topic and you still pretend you're a Christian?
You traitorous charlatans will be put to shame soon.

Isn't it against freedom of worship to curtail the fellowship numbers? The University can choose the ones they officially recognize, but what is it to them if some students decide to come together to worship?

That said, 80 fellowships is just a bewildering number!

While I do not wish ill on anyone friend or foe! But I am disgusted at the attitude of northern elders who apparently never gave a fork about boko haram killings until they started killings their kind.

And as if that was not enough when ihejirika matched bokos fire for fire, this same northern elders including buhari started crying that war against boko is war against the north which actually is the truth because boko haram is made up of hausafulanikanuri.

Now the next thing is for anyone to be thinking of questioning the only military commander that dealth deadly blow to boko haram since the first began.

It is the height of absurdity
Did you take an opinion poll of all northern elders to come up with this assertion?
Nobody is worried about 'matching boko haram fire for fire'. The chief concern is that innocent citizens, your fellow Nigerians, are being harmed during this phase.

If you will be incensed if this happened in Enugu, why pretend apathy because it's happening in the North?

Guy to hell with the north.
And this is what you folks never understand.

You are not talking about 'the north ' here. You are talking about human beings.

It is so easy to dispassionately make statements like these when you're dehumanizing everything to a mythical 'the north' figure. But this is about real human beings like you, real breathing, thinking folks who have families like you. Folks who are being beaten, tortured , molested, shot and imprisoned. Family units broken up irreparably.

would you be overjoyed to hear folks dismiss any of your reasonable complaints as 'it's just the south east '?

why should you care what faceless bigots think, when you should be worried about you losing your own humanity and ability to emphasize.

I'm not sure how much education you've received, or it you've ever left the shores of Nigeria to a country where things work, but in most countries where the rule of law holds sway, many people would be under investigation right now for these acts.

You sit safely far away from the areas of strife and condemn those who fight for justice and human rights. Even when indisputable proof stares you in the face.

Rubbish

It has never ceased to amaze me that the same folks who condemn the Nigerian security forces for the Apo killings, who blame the Nigerian armed forces for Biafra Era massacres and who condemn the Nigerian army for blood punitive massacres in the Niger delta (e.g Odi) suddenly seems convinced that there are no human rights violations in the North by the army, the numerous recorded cases of violations and torture are null and void and those who complain are 'boko haram supoorters'

This is the Intellectual dishonesty some educated nigerians indulge in, and it's just laughable.

There is no excuse for drug dealing or armed robbery or any crime where the end result will lead to human beings hurt or in torment.

Stop trying to excuse the wrong thing. Desperation is not an excuse. If every desperate person in Nigeria took laws into their own hands and became a criminal, you will not even see the phone you're using to type this rubbish up.

Politics › Re: President Buhari: A Deficit In Leadership by texazzpete(m): 7:07am On Jun 23, 2015
The stupidity of the OP

Praising Obama for assembling a 'transition team' yet failing to remember that Buhari assembled his own transition team ages ago, with the experienced Ahmed Joda in charge.
Read Joda's interview of yesterday where he makes clear that the true handover was only done 4 days before the swearing in, and that his committee has only just turned in their recommendations as short while ago.

Some of you are eager to rush buhari into a quick decision so some of your paymasters get in there. For shame!

Remember, kiddies. A delayed cabinet may come good eventually. A bad, hastily chosen cabinet is bad forever.

My bad,
The initial post from the previous story said this

The operatives recovered a Lexus Armoured Vehicle from the residence. Another Range Rover vehicle is said to have been in the possession of the former Information Commissioner
I assumed this meant the Range Rover was retrieved also.

But my point still stands. If your car is illegally seized, you seek justice. That is the right thing to do.
