rickkid: You are about to see two pieces of engineering history, the first ever passenger sedans to be conceptualised, designed and built by Africans in Africa.
Apparently, being marketed by liars.
Definitely not designed or conceptualized here in Nigeria.

I'm not sure why someone somewhere has convinced himself that assembling cars is a BAD THING and thus the narrative must be spread that the cars are wholly made in Nigeria. That's an unfortunate mindset

See what your arrogance has caused! 0% public sympathy! Which sympathy sef? The public you neglected for your selfish demands? Do you know how many people died as a result of your untenable demands?
Only in Nigeria will you see people who are happy to be treated by unhappy doctors. I'm happy they went on strike...at least they've made some gains, and full implementation of past agreements has been promised.

Politics › Re: Ribadu Shouldn’t Be Granted Waiver – Edwin Clark by texazzpete(m): 4:06pm On Aug 28, 2014
demand1982: Elder statesman and a former Minister of Information, Chief Edwin Clark, has warned the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party against granting waiver to a former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.

Clark, at an ongoing press conference
at his residence in Abuja on Thursday, said Ribadu would be used to betray President Goodluck Jonathan at the end.

He said the former anti- corruption crusader was known for raising false alarm against governors elected on the platform of the party in the past while serving as the chairman of the EFCC.He said Ribadu was also involved in the impeachment of unnamed governor of the party in the past.

He said, even when the President saved him from public disgrace by converting his dismissal to retirement as assistant inspector general of police, Ribadu has refused to show gratitude to the President.

He therefore warned the leadership of the party against granting Ribadu any waiver to enable him contest the party’s governorship primary of the party in Adamawa State.

Details later.

ladeni: texazzpete,

Good thing the world doesn't revolve around your uninformed suspicions though. So, in your world, asking people to subscribe with an e-mail on a site to get a free e-book is 'nefarious'- Seriouslyhuh Signing up with an e-mail address for newsletters you can easily unsubscribe from if you don't like the newsletters sent after while you still get to keep the free 20-page e-book is 'nefarious' now kwa?
Ah. So now you admit you plan to send email 'newsletters' to people who sign up.
This is a departure from your initial posturing of posting free info for purely altruistic reasons.

ladeni: If you are not interested, that's one thing but if you are uninformed about something, at least make the effort to know and not just appoint yourself an infallible judge based on your own very limited knowledge of the world around you. Perhaps, you might want to start by scouring the internet for the many information websites that ask you to subscribe with your e-mail before you get a free product.
Cut the BS cheesy. We both know that websites that ask you to subscribe for newsletters have some sort of profit in mind. It could run the gamut from advertisement, to propaganda to marketing to data collection.
So still back to where you initially claimed you were not out for any personal benefits

ladeni: Beyond just casting aspersions based on obviously uninformed personal suspicions, why not at least make the effort to know more about this by going to the website first rather than putting yourself through writing all the pointless 'drivel' you put up there.
Frankly, your website raises even more red flags.
I'll bow out of this discussion, though.
TV/Movies › Re: How I Got to the Hot Seat by texazzpete(m): 1:51pm On Aug 26, 2014
ladeni: I have come to the conclusion to continue staying off will be allowing these de-railers to think they are making the slightest ounce of sense in all they've said here. I hope you understand.

However, to all the insulting nitwits here, at least learn to read first before jumping to your pre-conceived conclusions. The serialised posts being offered on this thread is FREE, the complete e-book- the 20-page Hotseat Life from which these thread posts are being extracted is totally free. The main thing anyone who wants to get to the hot seat wants to know is how to get to the hot seat and all any truly interested person has to do is get on the site {http://hotseatmillionaire.com} and subscribe with an e-mail address to get all that for free in the e-book or continue following this thread if hopefully the silly de-railers don't succeed in their aim of shutting down this thread for whatever reason they have.

Doubt a 'broke' person will do all this btw.

Besides, I don't get where some fellows here got the impression I am bragging about winning 2 Million or am definitely broke to be doing all this now. Was on the show 3 years ago, even back then the money wasn't the issue for me. I've moved on long ago from that point in my life and in a much much better place now. Started all this because I still have people contact me years after asking how I got on the show et al. I'm in a much much better place from 3 years ago and if you don't have any thing productive or meaningful to say, you don't have to comment and can just continue doing whatever it is that gets you through the night.

For the 419 accusers, I understand there are natural 'Thomases' but someone has to explain to me how actually doing something such as being on the hot seat and writing about how you did it for people who might want to do same amounts to fraud. Just don't get that line of thought really- like at least think things through before posting and casting aspersions on someone else.

No one's forced anyone here. It is a free forum doesn't give anyone the right to simply throw mud on people you don't even know the first thing about.

The mods should pls do the needful on unproductive comments on this thread

PS:

New post later tonight
Spare us the sermonizing. There's absolutely no reason why people need to post their primary email addresses on your website.
You could post this as a Free download without any effort.

To be honest, your posts raise so many red flags, it's hilarious. From the way you write, to your efforts to get folks off Nairaland and into your site to provide you with their primary email addresses for you to continue correspondence in private, to the unnecessary padding of what should be a one page document into an epistle filled largely with drivel.

At this stage, I'm nearly 100% convinced there's some nefarious reason behind this...and I urge the mods to instead keep your posts under observation.

@OP thanks for this thread. Now I can clearly identify some people with extremely low IQ.

@onatisi, @profcamsey, @marvellousGod et al, take a bow. Ironic that you speak about 'scam' after scamming your folks into paying your school fees and yet failing to hone your common sense.

GEJ says people were kidnapped. Army concurs. SSS says they were kidnapped. boko haram published videos. Parents say their kids were kidnapped. CAN confirms the girls (mostly christians) were kidnapped. Presidential fact finding committee says the girls were kidnapped.
Does it not take a spectacular amount of imbecility to now insist nobody was kidnapped? I mean, the level of inanity that makes someone believe you're suffering from a family curse.

This is why some people become atheists. Brilliant people like Dr Adadevoh die of Ebola and imbecilic dolts are here on NL, breathing oxygen!

Sincere9gerian: With the PDP already in control of 21 states and the FCT out of the 36 states of the federation and with the near impossibility of the APC securing up to 1% votes in most of the PDP controlled states and with the PDP's ability to secure atleast 25% votes in most APC controlled states, the 2015 presidential election has been WON and LOST already.

The wise ones are already preparing for the 2019 elections while the FOOLS and serial election losers will continue to play catch up.
GEJ is sure to win, no doubt. APC have proven themselves completely clueless.

However, I can't wait for 2015 elections to come and pass so all those creating imaginary 'political enemies' as an excuse for non-performance can finally STFU and doing their jobs.

Finally, this hashtag is another thing in the line of insensitive and stupid stuff okupe has dreamt up. Perverting a hashtag meant to drum up support for the return of the girls we've failed...that's a whole new low for the presidency.

Well, glad its been finally resolved. Carry on with your studies students. Good luck.
That Isn't a staggering sum. The students are likely paying hundreds of dollars monthly for rent. When you factor in costs of transport, feeding and warm clothing, the money is nearly all used up.

You're also committing the cardinal error of looking at the naira equivalent.

Since when did ordinary 'heavy rain' become a 'natural disaster'?

I'll accept Nigeria is moving forward if you can just demonstrate how we've moved forward in security, power generation, healthcare, education, oil bunkering..

In fact, we've retrogressed badly in Education, healthcare and security. We spend nearly 100bn Naira in Amnesty payments and settlements yearly, yet crude oil theft is at its highest levels in years. Despite all the hoopla, we've failed to reach a 25% increase in power generation from our prior maximum output and prosecution of the corrupt is at an all time low, with seemingly automatic amnesty from criminal prosecution granted to those who 'align' properly like Fani Kayode, Mohammed Abacha and the entire clique of fuel subsidy scammers (who have now been rewarded with fresh licenses to import fuel).

But hey, we've won the Nations Cup and Lagos-Benin road is being worked, so it's all good, right? Right? cheesy cheesy

Malaria is caused by a protozoa parasite. Ebola fever is caused by the Ebola virus. Both diseases have nothing in common. Why are you bringing up Malaria in an Ebola discussion?

There are verified facts avoid Ebola that thousands of people have been tweeting, posting and shouting for weeks now. One of them is that the disease does not have 100% mortality rate and a percentage of victims will survive with Decent care (for example keeping the patient hydrated) and a healthy slice of luck. Yet you're here proudly airing your ignorance without shame.

Health › Re: US Commends Nigeria As Four More Ebola Patients Are Discharged by texazzpete(m): 2:27pm On Aug 19, 2014
The only positive thing about this Ebola issue is that it has shown us how daft the majority of contributors to Nairaland are.

The patients didn't get better because we gave them any special medicine. Even in Sierra Leone that has inferior medical facility to Nigeria's, the mortality rate was around 60%. So basically, 4 out of every 10 patients survived without any special treatment.
The nano-silver is no more effective than bathing with saltwater, and it represents an extremely embarrassing situation for Nigeria to announce a topical treatment of average value as a drug to be consumed by patients.

The US could not give Nigeria zmapp because

1. zmapp is the IP of a private American company, not the US govt. Appealing to Obama makes no sense.

2. From the start , it's been made clear that only very limited doses were available.

If I had my way, all those shouting conspiracy theories and '419 Ebola' would be rounded up and shot for imbecility.

Symphony007: How many people live in the city of abuja? Do they have a traffic epidemic? Do they need a light rail at this point? A city like lagos which is in dire need of a mass transit system is left to build one on their own without any help from the government. Should'nt this donation be going to help africa's most populous city build it's mass transit system? Why is the federal government is idiotic and dismissive when it comes to lagos state? Is it because it is an opposition state? Think of all the extra jobs and prosperity lagos would be witnessing if the federal govt works hand in hand with the state to uplift it, but at last prosperity and well being of nigeria and it's people takes a bad seat to politics.
I agree with you. On a scale of need, Lagos needs intervention FAR FAR more than Abuja does.

anonimi: Naysayers, please note the following published just last month:
Nobody is questioning whether they were able to get loans or not. Why is SURE-P money being used to fund this Abuja light-rail project? Was that in the original plan? I expected SURE-P to be a ring-fenced plan, put to use for nobler purposes.

Nonsense.

We are a nation of 160m+ people, each with multiple needs. The money the Niger Delta gets right now is perfectly adequate, and would have resulted in a massive transformation of that area if not for the greed, selfishness and incompetence of the leaders of that region.

Sadly, this has not stopped President GEJ from continuing to fraternize with convicted criminal Alams. Then again, Bayelsa would have been a much better place if GEJ had even done anything for the state while he was Governor cheesy
