Damibanti:The Blackberry Torch 9800 is available exclusively on AT&T. No CDMA version has been released for Verizon yet. Please check what you're selling. if it's verizon branded, then it ain't a Torch 9800. |
Beaf:More worrying, an incredible amount of money has been spent, or earmarked to be spent. And much of that is on frivolous things. As someone said earlier, in the first 100 days you can at least set the tone for your presidency. So far, we've seen nothing truly impressive from the man and it becomes clearer by the day that his main focus for now is his re-election. not the country. The 100 days stuff is just an excuse, really. As the vice president, he has been part and parcel of Governance at the highest level and thus should have a far shorter learning curve than a newbie in that role. Even before the 100 days, he had been acting as president. So why do we need to cut him some slack? |
koruji:I'm not sure what you mean by 'real'. All other countries were mentioned by name too. And i'm not sure what this has to do with District 9. @Topic The Nigerian guy has taken the right step; take this to the courts. Does anyone know what powers the 'Equality Court' has? Can they mete out punishment, or just order a removal of all such unfair treatment? |
And why exactly does SiaSia's demands include a brand new house and car? Siasia failed at his last Nigerian job, he's on he verge of failing with Heartland FC and yet you say we should give him an arm and a leg? This is taxpayers' money, it should be spent wisely. If Glo or other private firms decide to give him the millions he wants, that's fine. but i see no reason why a full blooded Nigerian with no experience at senior level coaching should demand for that sum. where's the patriotism? |
Echidime:Don't be silly. |

Not mixed.
Good! You're doing everything right: disproving EzeUche's point and educating him with photo evidence. Not going all 'Amateur psychologist' like Shesi here. |
shesi:And you prove my point again. Your 'self-hate' diagnosis is only based on a loose and perhaps inaccurate interpretation of his words. Not on the 'tangible evidence' you insisted he must present. While your lofty opinion of your own intelligence is somewhat amusing, you clearly add nothing intellectual to this discussion. This conversation is over; You cannot be reasoned with. |
Just finish downloading the database file of wiki2touch. It wasn't easy at all thanks to MTN.
Ah. I have the January 2010 version, i coulda given you. But i guess you now have a more recent dump. Nice to see someone else using Wiki2touch here. that app is a must have on my iPhone/iPad. I have the images dump if you're interested. |
shesi:You provided no such 'evidence'. All you did was to show him that the features he felt sure were foreign could be found in pure blooded West Africans. So how does his error of judgement translate to 'Self-hate' and 'inferiority complex'? You can take the correction with grace or you can continue to cast these amusing insults my way. Your choice. |
I'm gonna get flamed for this, but i have to speak the truth. Siasia is just being greedy if the stories are true. He has achieved NOTHING coaching at the senior level (please correct me if i'm wrong). He has precious little experience coaching at that level. He'd be best served accepting a very good salary (not exorbitant) for a 2 year contract, and then if he does well, re-negotiate for more for the long term. Or perhaps start a little more modestly and then ensure performance based increases and bonuses are thrown in. MOBO444:Siasia didn't do well at his last stint in charge of our junior team. Plus, he's coaching Heartland FC at the moment. Why can't they get him at a decent cost now? It's not like Heartland is paying him N2m monthly. |
i fink the organisers of this pergent in nigeria should be wipped first and sacked
We'd have to whip you and your English teacher first ![]() |
shesi:You had no tangible evidence to back up your 'self-hate' assertion, yet you kept harping on about it. You're veering dangerously close to hypocrisy here. |
Kx:Please remove Serena Williams from that list. |
If the Federal Government has decreed that all outbound passengers should be thoroughly screened, why should Bankole think he is above that law? And more importantly, why are ordinary Nigerians like Aloy Emeka supporting this pompous fellow just because he's a 'big man'? |
@PhysicsQED The money spent on your education was well spent. Very nice post, wish i could send you a beer for that ![]() |
mystikal:So something has to have the potential to cripple the Lagos state economy before it becomes a sub-optimal use of taxpayers' money abi? Here's an analogy; If given a choice between building a skills acquisition center for 2000 Niger Delta ex-militants or to use that same money to send 150 ex-militants to the UK for skills acquisition, which option would you pick? |
babapupa:Yep. Instead of wasting time on Nairaland insulting your betters, you could put more effort in learning how to spell 'purpose'. |
WHy the hell do we reserve 20% for 'Educationally less privileged'? Everyone should battle for the limited slots on merit alone. |
naijaking1:Any investigation requires PROOF, not hearsay. The priority for now is for Akingbola to face the charges tendered against him with adequate proof of innocence. That is how it is. |
babapupa:That's a surprise! You've been doing that all day. |
Chuckdee:Abi o! It's even more troubling that people fall for these. |
The case against Akingbola is clear. The charges have been put forward by EFCC. I suggest he starts to prepare a vigorous defence for his unsavoury bank deals ASAP. |
babapupa:And how much value does travelling overseas add? We're talking of exposing more kids to this leadership training, is flying 40 kids overseas better value than importing the training courses for 200 kids? babapupa:You'll fly in a few folk and lodge and feed them. Even you should be able to see that this is definitely going to be cheaper than taking 40 kids to SA. And i'm not sure what 'culture' any learning administrators will imbibe if they spend one week in a Lagos hotel. Also, since when did it take flying overseas to learn about other people? This is just lazy talk. Just by watching documentaries, movies and reading books i know a whole lot about the culture of others. Your stubborn insistence on overseas travel as a major way of assimilating culture shows you failed to take advantage of such learning opportunities when you were young. Your loss, not mine. PS: Most of our thieving politicians have travelled overseas to more functional societies - what good has that done for Nigeria? |
Why not bring these people here to Nigeria to deliver the leadership training? This would ensure that loads more kids are exposed to the training. I'm not convinced that this is the best way to spend taxpayers' money. Just my 2 cents. |

Best of all its free cost you nothing
It costs him a Nokia. And Nokia phones are really getting stale these days. Besides, a dedicated GPS unit has a bigger screen, is easier to mount on the dashboard while driving, usually has better GPS reception, etc, @Poster Get a Garmin device. I don't think Nigerian maps are available on TomTom |
Something about you screams 'Scammer'. Am i right? |
Such a shame there isn't any 8GB iphone 3GS. And there's no 8GB iPad. So, are you a scammer or just a woefully uninformed fellow? |
Producing milk before childbirth, and with no artificial hormone injections? Cool story, bro. |
cold:Why would this be the 'shape of things to come'? dayokanu:Less than 10% of premiership players featured in the WC. What's your point? |
