Yeah right. What a bloody liar. Shebi before he claimed the man struck him in the chest, now it's a racial insult. Next interview it will be the Greek player tried to handle his testicles. This Kaita should just shut his bloody mouth and enjoy his ban along with all the other Super Eagles flops. |
How will it be reflected when all you people know how to do is blame the oil companies, forgetting that the Federal Government collects at least 80% of all the oil revenues from onshore Niger Delta? All we hear is Shell! Mobil! Chevron! Agip! Meanwhile the major beneficiary is traipsing around freely. Ask your people to focus their energies on their Local, State and Federal government. Keep waiting for mobil to construct roads for you while your local government chairmen consume all the millions handed over to them for development purposes. |
mikeansy:I'd like to see your thoughts when FIFA bans Nigeria. And when they ban us, it won't just be the Super Eagles. it'd be the Under 17, 21 and 23 team affected too, the Super Falcons and Falconets, the CAF champions league and ALL international friendlies. A whole generation of young players hoping to play for Nigeria will see their hopes crushed. beleaguered Nigerian clubs will not be able to test their might against continental opposition. Without exposure like that, the number of young players snapped up to big clubs in Europe will be greatly reduced. Untapped talent will wither. Prospective Super Eagles players will not be able to train together; with no international friendlies, the only time these players can leave their clubs to do anything with Nigeria is at the end of the season. Non-participation in the Junior World cup and Olympic qualifiers will ensure than many talents will lie forgotten. And all these are acceptable to you because of the NFF issue. An issue that could easily have been solved by having the EFCC and ICPC audit their books, arrest and prosecute the corrupt ones. There's no way Sani Lulu could have run the NFF from jail. That would have been a legal solution acceptable by FIFA. Instead we're on the verge of deep shit. We'll see. |
Good development? Are you on crack? It means we will not play at the next Nations Cup - How good is that? Goodluck could easily have had the same results by unleashing the EFCC and ICPC on the NFF members. Now he's going to take us down the route of failure that Abacha took us down. Mr Goodluck, i will not be voting for you in 2011. |
kansu:Lol. Even people like you are calling themselves 'engineers'. kansu:With a pathetic business model like yours, it would have been better for you to seek paid employment. |
@Sagamite Be careful of your utterances here o! What you've said is enough grounds for you to be quickly arrested by the SSS when next you visit naija. Take it easy, bro. |
joanana:1. Those aren't smartphones. they are phone manufacturers. What gives? 2. Since when did making your phone a 'mobile web cam' become a criteria for identifying good phones? Better still, now that even the cheapest netbook out there comes with a webcam standard (and PC webcams are dirt cheap), why would you want to use your phone as a mobile webcam? |
moonraker:1. The iphone 4 sports a 1Ghz processor, just like the leading high end phones in the market like the evo 4G and the Nexus One. It's got 512MB RAM, the highest resolution screen in the market (with the highest pixel density too). A 5MP camera that beats the socks off 90% of the camera phones in the market (including 8MP offerings from HTC phones). It shoots very good quality 720p video. And the build quality is awesome . of course, the Jury's still out on whether the decision to go all glass will backfire eventually, but that isn't what 'build quality' means. It's a far bigger leap over the previous gen iphone than the 3GS was to the 3G. 3. You can't use your experience with the Bold 9700 to make that blamket assumption. I personally find the Bold 9000 to be rather cheap. The chrome wears off the sides in an unsightly manner and the trackball is much inferior to the trackpad seen in the 9700. |
1. iPhone 4 rules. Specs wise, it's up there with the best of them. Software wise, it's unmatched by any phone out there. 2. The only Nokia allowed on that list is the N900. Nokia has seriously lost it with their Symbian smartphone lineup. I am amazed to see a few fellows here speaking up for the pathetic N97. 3. BB 9700 definitely makes that list. it's the best BB in existence now, and an upgrade to OS 6.0 will help to bring that device to the modern ages. |
Comparisons like these are pretty dumb. You cannot blanket compare two manufacturers. You make a comparison on phone models i.e Sony Eriicsson Satio vs HTC Desire. Not Sony Ericcson vs HTC. That's almost as dumb as saying "Which TVs are better, Samsung or Sony" |
The CEO'S are still wanted but almost all executive directors have been cleared save 3. I dont see how from your explanation this move is to make the directors cooporate with EFCC. If we understand how this banks run , then it insults common sense that all the EDs have been cleared to return to the industry while sanusi's original claim on the banks and the CEOs remain. With an average figure of 5 EDs each from the 8 queried banks, we are saying that about 35 have been cleared and nobody is asking sanusi questions? Haba. I am beginning to sense that sanusi is just waking up to the difficult task of justifying his rash actions in court and is only seeking other forms of settlement.
What do you mean 'from my explanation'? I just quoted a section of the article we're all commenting on which clearly indicates that the EDs that are no longer blacklisted (if they ever were) had co-operated fully with the investigations by the CBN and EFCC. Allowing them to return to work does not automatically mean they do not have questions to answer on their incompetence or poor performance. Someone sacked for poor performance in Agip, does that mean the person should not be allowed to seek work in Total? Does that indicate an issue on the part of Agip in thi analogy? People, please find reasonably good ammunition if you want to turn public opinion about Sanusi, not this obvious grasping of straws. |
funkybaby:Hehe. Even though you're one of the anti-Sanusi mob, i've always liked you . |
evil666:When did Sanusi do any 'arresting'? |
Believe me, all men aren't who.res! Far from it. There are good men out there. But don't rush into a romantic relationship. Anyone you date should be your good friend first. Men make excellent friends, once they get over the nuisance stage of thinking they can get into your pants. They can't help it. Once they've lost all hope they drop the masks and pretences and are themselves, and are really cool things.Life is short. Your sister and ex-BF do not get to deprive you of love, and then deprive you of other people you can love who are worthy of that love. They don't get to do that to you. Some men murder their wives. Does that mean all men murder their wives? Your BF betrayed you horribly. But he is not the blueprint for all men, and there are good men, worthy of you, out there. I'm so sorry for what happened. Just move close to your other family members and live your life to the fullest. When time has fully healed the wound, perhaps the monster gets to be your sister again, and perhaps she doesn't. She's long lost the privilege.
Utterly Brilliant! Smartest thing i've seen here. |
Fun fact: 99% of the ladies here insisting that 'Men are dogs' are gonna get married anyway. To Men. Accept my condolences. . . |
link=topic=469759.msg6299262#msg6299262 date=1277748829] As regards Bluetooth on the BlackBerry, I've never had issues with mine. I just have to pair devices before initiating a connection. The bluetooth is also stable, I remember when I was streaming music in a car; walked into a mall, came out and my friend in the car said the music didn't stop playing, I was surprised at the distance it covered.
No problems with it, bluetooth file transfer is pretty unintuitive. The Blackberry OS itself just feels dated, even worse than Symbian in several regards. My first week of using my bold 9700 was pretty traumatizing (that was before the whole crackberry addiction set in ). The default web browser in the BB is the most shitty browser ever made. Luckily i was able to install Opera mini over that atrocity.Luckily the hardware is rock solid ![]() |
funkybaby:Yes. funkybaby:The article says NOTHING about the bank CEOs. All references being made are to the bank executive directors that were removed. The Bank CEOs (Ibru et al) ain't coming back. |
Oga , except if you are only trying to explain the article to suit yourself. on the bolded parts, you seem to be the only one seeing it that way.
Please read this excerpt from the article naijaking1:If i'm not reading this right, care to explain what that part means? |
I don't really get why this is raising eyebrows. The article clearly indicates that all the affected chiefs that have been let off the hook had co-operated fully with the EFCC and the CBN. If someone gets sacked for non-performance or incompetence, is that reason enough to blacklist the person from employment in their industry? |
4llerbuntu:And what exactly do you transfer these days with bluetooth? The BBs have got bluetooth, just buried under convoluted menus. 4llerbuntu:User experience and the apps is where it's at, mon ami. There are limitations, but you really don't feel them as the jailbreak community is out there to cater to all the gaps. The official apps are something else, though. you won't find apps as polished and complete as those you'd see on the iPhone. Android is playing catch up, but they're a long way off. |
4llerbuntu:Nah, RIM won't go out of business even if someone were to come along with that business idea. The BB service is much more than BIS. I know you have an eye on the craze in Naija, but the sales in Naija are just a drop in the ocean for RIM's worldwide sales. Your bluetooth comment, referring to the iPhone? Perhaps because bluetooth file transfer is steadily becoming less relevant these days? |
4llerbuntu:Well, it doesn't run android by default, does it? And yes, it will run lots of stuff natively, but getting another OS on it requires quite a bit of work. Go check out how difficult it's been to port Android on devices like the Htc HD2 even for the whizzkids on xda-developers. I would think any phone you paid money for becomes 100% yours , especially if you can't feel the limitations imposed by the manufacturer. If your usage pattern means you don't come in contact with the walls, aren't you then 100% free too?I would not call this the 'best phone ever made'. Not by a long shot. The hardware, the software has its fair share of flaws. I admit it should probably appeal to geeks with far more time on their hands than i do. But best phone? Hah! I admit i also share your opinion that the BB OS is crappy as hell. |
funkybaby:It would help if you actually READ the frigging article, young lady. It usually does. |
http://www.engadget.com/2010/06/27/hacked-n900-blazes-through-froyo/ Some intrepid hacker managed to get Android 2.2 running nicely on the Nokia N900. [flash=425,355] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U46e_VYANWs[/flash] |
logica:Yep. Couldn't remember what the thingy was called. I must admit that the reports of the iphone's fragility makes me very apprehensive, |
And what about the restrictions to foreign students, is that a welcome development too? |
moonraker:The sim contacts still retain the old size. All you have to do is trim the sim card and it'll work. M pretty sure there are templates on the web you can use to ensure you get an accurate cut. |
Did anyone even bother to read the article? this is harebrained journalism at work. How did Lagerback speaking about continuity and the need for Africa to encourage their talented ex-players into the coaching path turn into Lagerback saying Africa needed Local coaches at the world cup? All the people talking about 'chop and clean mouth' are just being silly. |
