When I tell people the pattern of crimes in Nigeria they doubt me. If there was any daredevil robbery anywhere, I mean Commando kind of shooting hold any Ibo man you see around there. He knows something about it.
If all of a sudden you receive alert of debit from your account in the form of online fraud, hold any Yoruba man you see around you. He knows something about it. While serving in Kebbi State in 2006 as a maths teacher in JSS Karaye, Maiyama LGA. I have one Musa who interprets mathematics to the JS 3 students. Musa did his primary school in sokoto and can speak pidgin English.


When i say 2 + 2 = 4, students will ask Musa in Hausa what that means, Musa will ask me in pidgin...i will explain to Musa in pidgin and he will explain to the class in Hausa.

After secondary school and we all went to universities, did we all not try to keep up with the curriculum of the university even though we were handicapped from secondary school? Did we blame our past teachers in secondary for not giving us the foundation we need to study maths in the university? If you guys watch, serious students would move on and catch up with the new system. But the iddiots back in class then will continue complaining and procrastinating till its too late and nothing achieved!
