October mamas, Affliction shall not rise a second time, Amen. |

How are you mama? Hope you're eating well and taking your supplement. Just checking on you. |
Tinudesi: It's well with you ma. I don't even know what to say. Looking at our baby's face will ease the pain. Take care of our Prince. |
Tinudesi:Congratulations mama, you are a strong woman. It was a lovely read. I'm so scared of pain and God really helped me that I wasn't having pain while menstruating. As a FTM I have made up 80% of my mind to take the epidural. Everyone says the stitches are very painful, more painful than the contractions itself. It's not easy to be a woman o. God will help all our pregnant mothers at the time of delivery |
joliefille:You can go to the pharmacy for other brands. Though I don't know of any other one apart from pregnacare. Pls take good care of yourself. Team October! Team Overcomers! |

Pls, don't cry! Our mamas here will keep you company including me . You can get yourself occupied with religious activities and humanitarian assistance. I will advise you to stay away from herbs and concoctions, it's not advisable. I take pregnacare, 1 tablet daily because I was advised to take it. Why didn't your nurses answer you? Is it a government hospital? Lol, funny people. Look for a better hospital around you. You can get one of your siblings or relative to stay with you, just to kill the boredom .If you have any worries, pls feel free to mention me. |
lady25:I thought it was only me ooo...I feel sick in the evenings till I sleep. Most times, I take fruits as my dinner. Normally I take my drugs at night but had to change it to morning. We will scale this phase very soon |
October mamas, how are we all doing and coping with the morning sickness? @joliefille @lady25 @Fruit4me @Krystalluv @Ibk555 @ThatPetiteChic @jumy16 @jumy16, I just added you. @Krystalluv, i haven't heard from you in a long while. Affliction shall not rise a second time, Amen. |
I did mine at ikoyi registry last year December. We paid 25k instead of 15k posted on their site. Due to COVID 19, they needed only 4 witnesses which is just our parents. Also no need for drinks and biscuits. Though, on that day we paid 2k for a book(acts/laws of marriage in Nigeria), the plastic for the certificate and picture. My parents, his parents and we the couple dropped #500 each as offering (we tried explaining to the woman that we didn't prepare for it, the woman refused releasing our certificate until we dropped something and she insisted she wasn't hungry and the minimum she was going to accept was #500 each). We were almost forced to snap picture using their photographer but we escaped it and used our phones. When I was complaining about the expenses, someone told me that before COVID 19, the expenses were more than this so I should be grateful. There's no ministry in Nigeria that is free from exploitation. That's the truth. |
WhyNa:Done |

Hello ma, Pls I am interested in selling hairs. I'm a newbie in it. Kindly put me through. Thank you |
oke22:Aww...congratulations dearie... |
BlessedMyra:Oh my mama I was just telling hubby of you and how I always look forward to seeing your post. I've been offline because of the poor network at my end and was even looking out for your post. I'm really sorry mama and even lost for words. The God of Hannah will give you Samuels' to comfort you ma. I love you mama |
IntentionTremor:I really feel for you sir. A family member of mine(female) is over 50 and hasn't conceived so I really understand what you're passing through. If it's possible to take eggs from your wife and your sperm, then I suggest you open your mind to surrogacy. Though, it will be costly but it's your last resort. BUT if extracting eggs from your is wife impossible, pls sir, get another lady to bear you a child. All these options shouldn't stop you from loving your wife because she's also passing through a lot. Both of you need each other's support. Baby dust to you sir. |
BlessedMyra:I always look forward to seeing your post ma . I'm happy your toothache is gone and I pray your healing remains permanent in Jesus name. The weakness has gone as I was able to fight it, so I no longer feel weak. My taste buds is my only problem right now. Trying to cope with it but it's not easy. I can't wait for this morning weakness to pass. I'm also experiencing the heart racing thing but not always though don't know if it's normal. Hmmm...I'd love the antenatal lectures for we FTM. We can start the prayers if you wish. |
BlessedMyra: ![]() Sorry ma, ndo. Just manage because anything you use will only last for a short while. I believe that by the end of this month, you'll come out stronger. |
Exceldamsel:Just to add to what our senior mama said, you can download a pregnancy app to monitor your pregnancy. Once you input the date of your last menstrual period, you will get temporary likely date when your baby will be born. Pls, let's know the month so we can add you because I am already guessing you will fall in team October . Don't mind me, I am just excited to add and welcome new members. |

My boobs pain has also reduced but they are still full. And yes, the symptoms fluctuate. Like on Saturday, my morning sickness reduced and I was so happy because I felt the phase was coming to an end. On Sunday was terrible, the morning sickness was back in a greater force. So yea, it fluctuates from what I noticed. |
Bros, since she's not ready to be truthful with the dates, wait till she gives birth and follow it up with DNA test. Next time, learn to have protected sex. |
I think Lagos and Portharcourt are the only states encouraging buses, other states are into cab or shuttle. Have you considered plying interstate? Like Lagos to Ibadan or Lagos to Ogun. You can also change your route in Lagos. |
lady25:Me too I cooked ofada stew with rice this afternoon, I ate very little because I couldn't understand what I was tasting...very bland taste and since then, I have the constant urge to vomit. I can't eat dinner too. I had to drink garri with cold water to suppress it. I take tom tom sweet or chewing gum with peppermint. I speak constantly to my baby to do me well because it's not easy. Three gbosas to all women out there!!! |
Krystalluv:This is exactly the way I feel though my vomit has refused to come out. I don't like this morning sickness at all and i feel this way all the time (morning, afternoon and night). I am losing weight because i can't eat. Pls, I don't wish it for anyone. It's not a nice feeling. |
Fruit4me:Same here. The nausea increased today and I can't eat much or drink water. Mangoes have been my life saver. I also watch the number of mangoes I take I.e 1 to 2 mangoes because too much of everything is bad. I avoid sour mangoes because i read somewhere that sour fruits can cause a miscarriage. |

You removed me...I don vex o. I need plenty mangoes to be pacified October mamas you see how beautiful we are and God is increasing our number. I have added myself and @Ibk555 forcefully ![]() @jolliefille @lady25 @BlessedMyra @Fruit4me @kystalluv @Ibk555 @ThatPetiteChic My symptoms started with a weird taste and indigestion. Scarred of eating and brushing because I have this constant urge to throw up even though I threw up just once. I can't wait for this phase to be over. I noticed I like spicy and slightly sweet foods too. Lastly, my small boobs are becoming fuller ooo though it's not as painful as it used to be. God is wonderful |
oke22:My dear, I was already scared o because it's my first time hearing it too. |
Yes...especially last night Modified: it has started again this morning |
luminouz:It's not a scam. The most important factor is if the certificate is recognized in the United states which I think it is because they are affiliated to 2 universities in the US. Yes, you will pay a one-time application fee(can't remember the amount), then it's just the $120 per course which you can apply scholarship to cover it all or most of it. |
I'm seeing my October mamas @lady25 @BlessedMyra @Fruit4me We will all testify in October. |
My husband enrolled last year for bsc computer science. It's different from our education system and you must be ready to dedicate your time to studying. No one is going to lecture you though they have a good standard. Before, it was $100 per course, now it's $120 though scholarships are readily available(Hubby has always been on scholarship). It's just do-it-yourself. A year consist of 5 terms and you can take 1 to 3 courses per term. Assignments are opened every week for each course and you must submit it before the end of that week, also grade your peers. Pass mark for each course is 70%. I don't want to discourage you but many of his mates dropped out because they didn't have time to read. Any other question, feel free to ask? |
Abu23Rahman:As my senior mamas have advised you, be patient and give it a 2weeks grace. Pls don't forget to share you BA/BS...Congratulations in advance |
