I was 45kg before I got pregnant, now I am 47kg at 34weeks....at a point I was even loosing weight, perhaps because I don't feed well.

I'm 40kg and I really want to add though I just started my journey. If I don't increase in the next 8months, I'll forget about adding up in this lifetime. I added 2kg but lost it recently because I have the urge to throw up, a bitter tongue and loss of appetite. I'm on fluids mostly.

I got married last year December and they splitted everything into 2(paternal and maternal). My dad's people are very small and they travelled from far so they couldn't carry most of their share. He had to give out almost everything to his friends and staff. Including salt, sugar, fruits, aadun, kolanut etc and they were all happy to receive because they felt they were tapping from the Blessing. We need to focus on more relevant things in our lives.

What a wonderful thread! I never knew it existed and I'm glad to be here.

I tested positive a week ago after I missed my period. For the past two days, I noticed the urge to throw up and my tongue is having this sick and weird taste. Normally, i have malaria almost every 3 months so I'm just guessing it's malaria. Can I take malaria drugs? What should I do pls?

This is not the season for palm oil, wait till March/April. I knew it will be expensive so I bought 5L for 3k during the festive period. Tomato and onion is cheap now, buy and store because it will be very expensive in May. Yam is also in season.

The black soot is a big problem.
Most of the soot is produced @ night which makes me believe its as a result of illegal activities. Its so bad that if you go to wake up the next day your nostrils would be black...

One wonders how the lungs would be if a night's sleep results in inhaling such copious amount of black soot. The issue is the Government is paying lip service to this phenomenon. There is no way the military/police do not know there boys with these 'refineries'.

If this is not checked, people in Port Harcourt would start presenting ailments connected to lung disease. The worrisome aspect is that this black soot is all over Rivers state...not just Port Harcourt; so the big men notice it. I really don't know how but if you close all your doors and windows with the AC on, the soot still seeps in. This is a big issue.

I was still complaining to my husband about the soot. I mop every day...sometimes twice a day because of this soot. I always wonder how it enters because my curtains are always down. It's really bad. I can't spread white cloth outside because I will see soot particles on my cloth. Each time I clean my nose with an handkerchief, it comes out black. Really painful...
