I find it hard to express love. You could say I'm cold hearted. Well, it's mainly due to the way I was raised sha. All the crazy life experiences my little teenage brain has been through: the broken family, the emotional turmoils, etc. I think I like it that way though.

Well, I think I have a problem(well... I wouldn't really call it a problem).

But I think that there is something not totally right about me. Something that actually makes me kind of odd amongst the greater percentage of humans and here it goes:

1. I get informed that someone has just 'given birth' and I see everyone jumping and celebrating and partying all over the bloody place and I just stand and stare at the 'nonsense' because I still can't understand what the excitement is all about(it's just another human to the already overpopulated earth, right?)

In such cases, I would often offer a feeble 'congratulations' to the celebrants in order not to appear odd and then walk away to get other things done. In fact, it took me ages to visit a cousin when she gave birth to her first child last year because I just couldn't be bothered... Note: I have absolutely nothing against her or the sprog. I don't just get excited about things like that. Simple.

2. You call me or walk into a room and inform me that someone has just died/passed away/kicked the bucket whatever... and I just look at you and utter a feeble 'accept my sympathy' or I end up just saying nothing at all... my mind is absolutely calm as though nothing ever happened.

As a matter of fact, I don't feel a pang of sorrow no matter how close the deceased is to me. I would never as much as shed a bloody tear because it is absolutely impossible and I just can't fake it no matter how hard I try.

Worse still, I attend the funeral and I don't feel a thing. Absolutely nothing. Sometimes, I don't even feel the urge to attend any obsequies.


Now, I know I am sort of 'different' but is it possible that there might be something 'odd/wrong' with me as an individual and is it possible that there might be others like me out there?

I'm kinda similar to you. But mine is i find to hard to express love. It's like i'm cold on the inside. Though I've never lost anyone in my family before sha so I don't really know how I'd feel when I finally do. We're all built differently sha.
