Politics › Re: Tribunal Sacks Vincent Bulus In Plateau, Bans Him From Politics For Life by TheAdvocate(m): 8:10am On Oct 21, 2015 |
advocates: Everyone can see the transparency of the tribunal and the speed judgement is delivered under the Buhari's government. The PDP we know comprises of men with all manner schemes and scams capable of turning election in their favour, but all of this is turning the heat on them and the rate they are going down suggest why Metuh took those swipes at the judiciary.
It can't always be business as usual, and those who manipulate election I suppose are jittering at the moment. Expect more PDP members to have their election nullified as the tribunal continues their work. You see where hate is taking you to? The speed at which cases are determined at the election tribunals have nothing to do with Buhari. It is the provision of the Electoral Act 2011 which is an act promulgated under the Goodluck administration. The Act provides that cases must be concluded within 180 days and it has been so for about 5 years now. |

If that is how Amaechi intends to pursue this ministerial appointment as if it is birthright and as if he will suddenly die if not screened, I suggest the following ; 1.That the Senate suspend his screening until when the courts determined all the cases between him and the government of Rivers which by implication is the whole state. 2. Since he had mentioned some names in his petition, the screening should be suspended and the people he mentioned should be served with copies of the petition for them to respond first in the interest of Justice and fair hearing. 3. The Senate committee on public petition should conduct a public hearing into the petition while the screening of Amaechi be suspended. Amaechi did not know that when he was doing it to GEJ, it was painful now it's payment day. |

This op has taken strong weed.
How can 5 people be repairing a concrete bridge blown by boko haram?
That bridge still stands as it is. They were packing sand for trucks to convey.
The youths in that community had already improvised another road by the side of that bridge through communal efforts and with the help of distinguished Senator Binta Garba Masi the senator representing that area. |

Nigerian police can be so funny.
Why charge a murder case to a Chief Magistrate Court which does not have jurisdiction to try the offence?
The implication is that they had charged them with an offence lesser than murder and that sets precedence for their bail. |

Having failed to sway the mind of President Buhari (through hate documentaries) to stop him from nominating Amaechi...
Having failed to rally a protest from Rivers people to stop Amaechi, as the Good people of Rivers state vehemently rejected his hate moves against his fellow Rivers Man..
Whereas, Wike has also failed to Use Rivers Senators to stop the confirmation of Rotimi Amaechi:
Whereas, Wike has failed to use the Senate Rule to Stop Amaechi..
Whereas, Wike has failed woefully to use a doctored inquisition report called Judicial inquiry report to Stop Amaechi...
Nyesom Wike the alleged Murderer of his people, now plays his last card by assembling hungry, faceless and nameless youth and tagged them Northern Youth, to whip up sentiment and see if his futile project will get a lift!

Let's not turn government business into politics to obtain cheap publicity. |

For the avoidance of doubt only INEC can testify against the holding of an election. |

iamauxin: This is just defilement, not rape. Each of them has its penalty. He used his hands touch the girl's private part. At most, he can be sentenced to 14 years. And mind you, Rape is a capital offence and attracts life imprisonment upon conviction. Thanks! Defilement is rape. It depends whether it's under the Penal Code or Criminal Procedure Act. A capital offense is one that carries death as sentence. Life imprisonment is not capital. I still repeat that rape carries 14 years sentence. |

JusticeSeeker: the stack ignorance demonstrated by @OP here is mind boggling. a particular motion was struck out and not the entire suit but the @OP is here probably because he wants to make his team of Wailers feel they've defeated APC. Did you read that "Following their application, Justice Adeniyi, in a short ruling yesterday, struck out the suit." Why must yu insist that it's a particular motion that was struck out? The case was filed via originating summons and originating summons are by way of motions meaning witnesses are not called but it's by the affidavit evidence. A writ of summons will take 30 days for the defendant to file his defence while by way of originating summons, it's just 7 days for defence. |
