@Martian,this youngman is seeking answers and you're making fun of him. May God forgive you becos it is very obvious you don't know what you are doing.
@Babalola. The issue of ancestral curses is something that affects a lot of families today. Pls drop your email address let me mail you.
That aside, yes you might have to break curses more than once, especially if the root cause of the curse has not being properly adressed. The causes range from ancestral convenants, ancestral evil dedications, the evils/abominations commited by our forefathers and so on. They cause trouble, die off and leave their innocent progeny to suffer the consequences of their actions. When you say "mortgaged", it might be that Granpa sold or exchanged the glories of his male descendants for certain favours from an idol or deity {just guessing}. Sad. If you don't free yourself it will continue to affect subsequent generations to come.
Now you say you are not "the Christian type". That is too bad because it is written that "the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. . ." {2 Cor 10: 1-6}. How can you wage a war when you don't even know which weapons to use and you are not protected by the full Armour of God? {Eph 6:11}. Truth, faith,Gospel of Peace, righteousness, SALVATION and the WORD OF GOD. U need to give your life to Jesus Christ and immerse your self in the Word of God. That is the first step to freedom. U can't fight for freedom when you are still living blindly in the kingdom of darkness. With the Word you know your standing with God,you make Him your friend and then you can begin to challenge the root of every curse in your life. Gal 3:13 made it clear that Jesus has taken away our curses,so curses cannot stay in your life. You have to rise up now,but first repent and give your life to Christ becos you cannot fight the devil and yet still dine with him. Something's gat to give

Well like you rightly said, both people from the political divide will have a reason to back their assertions.

However mark my words too, I’m not sure Trump will survive the onslaught already in place for him in the 2020 elections. He will lose both the popular vote and the electoral vote.

God keep us alive to witness 2020 and beyond. Grace
There is no onslaught he is facing now that he didn't face in 2016 and he still went on to win. In fact, he might win the popular vote this time because of the drive this time around to get 20 million evangelicals who didn't vote in 2016 to vote for him. These Evangelicals didn't trust Trump would be a strong supporter of Israel, a pro-life President. They also didn't believe he would appoint strong conservative judges to the supreme court. All these things, he has done and now has won their trust. Just as they mobilized for Ronald Reagan in reelection, they will do the same again this time.

I listened to a very accurate analysis by a pundit recently, he said that while the desire to impeach Trump could be so strong in Blue states such as Illinois and California, unfortunately for Democrats, people in the heartland, the States that deliver the electoral victory such as Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, are not interested in impeachment.

Moral breakdown is different from the impeachment nreakdown bro.

Donald Trump normally is a corrupt man who won’t be bothered by issue related to morality. His grab em by the p**ies words and his constant lies shows he had no credibility whatsoever and his shame is already lost.

However the impeachment is done to break his ego, Trump thinks like a child and he will be battered by the trolling that will come with attributing impeachment to his name such that he won’t be stable. Be alert to his actions from now on to see what I’m taking about. From now on his name will be attributed to an impeached president and the 2020 election will be a different ball game and I think Trump might not win.

The dynamics have changed coz people now know what Trump is capable of. They have seen a president that is constantly lying daily and desecrating the office of the POTUS and that will affect the votes in some way. Remember Trump never won the popular votes initially and he will not be facing a Hilary Clinton (evidently hated by many Americans) as his opponent in the next election.

Let’s see what will unfold in 2020.
Sir, all these are just the thoughts and imaginations of those who don't like Trump. His impeachment is a partisan stunt. It has no single vote from a serving Republican member of Congress and it has affected the credibility of the process. Even Bill Clinton was impeached and it has never damaged him. In fact, the impeachment of Bill Clinton was the beginning of Newt Gingrich's downfall as Speaker of the House. The elections that followed that impeachment was a big loss for Republicans who concentrated on impeaching Bill Clinton.

Anyway, I think this boils down to whose side one is. Those who don't like Trump will declare this a disaster for him, just as you have done, while those who like him will declare that this impeachment is a partisan stunt that will affect the Democrats in 2020.

But I want you to mark this, Donald John Trump will be reelected in 2020. However, he might still lose the popular vote, while winning the electoral votes.

Why would the US Senate not bar him?. You think they love him?
You think Mitt Romney, Cruz or Mario dont want to be Prez?. You guys are just building up this idiot for what he is not.

Mind you, it is a senate trial. It is not a debate. There will be more evidence, everybody will be sworn to oath. Cameras would be there. Supreme Court justice would be there. History would be recorded.
I think Trump will fall for one of the charges and get banned from public office. Hr will be allowed to finish his term. His relationship with establishment politicians is so bad.
Brother, please stop dreaming. If what you are hoping for is that the Senate will convict Trump or bar him from contesting for office, I will politely say, quit the pipe dream sir. Mark my words, Senator Ted Cruz will never vote against Trump. Just three days ago, I watched a live interview where Ted Cruz said that the Senate will throw this away. Mitt Romney's vote is not enough to convict Trump or bar him. If there is anyone on earth who knows deep down in the heart that Trump will not be removed or barred by the Senate, it is Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the same woman who led the house impeachment drive. Pelosi is not under any illusion that Trump will be removed by the Senate. She knows it will not happen. The Democrats who voted to impeach Trump know in their heart that this guy will not be removed. Don't be deceived by their grandstanding. Here is a truth that those who have been waiting for Trump's downfall will hate to hear: Donald John Trump will not be convicted by the Senate, neither will he be barred from contesting for next year's election. He will also be reelected to a second term. I know you will not like this but it's just the bitter truth.

This is 100% incorrect. The house impeaching him does not prohibit him from re-contesting in 2020. Please go and find out. What could prevent him is if the Senate bars him. Trump will re-contest in 2020 and he will win.

Psychologically they have broken Trump with this move.
Nobody can break Trump. Three weeks before the last Presidential election, they released the Hollywood Access tape. They thought it would break him, but when he said "I never give up", they said he didn't show remorse. Watch, Trump will use the same impeachment you said will break him against the Democrats in the 2020 elections. He even just twitted 'see you in 2020'. Trump is a mystery. He usually survives after it has been concluded that he is finished. Prior to the 2016 election, there was a poll claiming that Hillary Clinton would defeat Trump hands down. I remember that someone on Nairaland posted 'Trump is finished.' A lot of people have always underestimated Trump, only to end up being disappointed.

As it stands this is the most Partisan impeachment process in the history of the USA and certainly more partisan than when Bill Clinton was impeached. Trump is in deep trouble and he knows it
Sir, Trump is not in any trouble. If the house impeached him, it will only be a symbolic impeachment because the Senate will not convict him, thereby rendering the house's impeachment null and void

As at last month when I went to Kampala, yes, Nigerians were still eligible for visas on arrival.

However, before you travel, I would advise you go to the Uganda Immigration website and verify. African countries are chaotic and are capable of delivering surprises; the Tanzanians for instance removed Nigeria from their list of countries eligible for visas on arrival last year without notice, thus messing up trips for people. Expect the usual questions at immigration, carry a reasonable amount of cash commensurate with your proposed length of stay and if you are a first-timer bring along paperwork substantiating your visit and be prepared for a bit more scrutiny.
All right, thanks

Due to airline pricing systems, indirect flights transiting through a hub (Nairobi in this case) are usually cheaper than the direct flight to the hub city. For instance on my last trip to Kampala, when I took 4 flights (Lagos - Nairobi, Nairobi - Entebbe (Uganda's international airport is in Entebbe, not Kampala), Entebbe - Nairobi, then Nairobi - Lagos), the trip cost US$650 as opposed to the previously mentioned average of US$750 - 800 for the direct two-way Lagos to Nairobi and back.

However, KQ's Entebbe flights all leave before their Lagos flight arrives Nairobi (7 pm East Africa time), so if you take KQ, you will have to spend the night in the airport and then take the Entebbe flight the next morning. Ethiopian Airways has a somewhat shorter layover in Addis (as at October 2019 when I last travelled to Uganda), but its earliest flight will get you to Entebbe around 3 am, not a really good time to arrive in a foreign country, so you'll still have to wait in the airport till daylight. Its about 1 hour from Entebbe to Kampala by taxi and costs about 10 - 12k in naira (100,000 to 120,000 UGX).

On my business trips to Uganda, as I'm not fond of sleeping in airports, and given that Kenya has a visa on arrival process, I just get a visa when I arrive Kenya, so that I can come out of Nairobi airport and spend the night in an Airbnb near the airport, then head back to the airport the next morning to catch my flight, on both legs, inbound and outbound. This usually costs about an extra US$150 (US$100 for the multiple entry visa, and 25 - 30 for the airbnb).
Thanks very much for this detailed information. I so much appreciate. I have a question. I know that Uganda has e-visa policy. However, do they still give visa on arrival if one misses the e-visa?

Your budget is very high. Don't submit it to your company in that form; they will think you are out to cheat them. $5,500 for a five days trip is $1,100 a day. Only politicians do that.

I go to Kenya fairly frequently (have been there twice this year, and will be there again in February).

Your most expensive round-trip ticket to Nairobi is about $750 to $800 (Kenya Airways). Ethiopian Airlines and Rwandair are slightly cheaper. Taking Emirates doesn't make sense unless you want to go to Dubai for some other reason, as you save nothing at all and fly for 7 hours from west Africa to Asia and for 5 hours back to east Africa.

KQ has a direct flight 5 days a week that takes from 4 1/2 to 5 hours. Ethiopian Airlines has the disadvantage that it arrives around 2 am in Nairobi. Never flown Rwandair to Nairobi, only to Kigali.

Depending on what your company's travel policy allows you (we get 3 star hotels), then budget from $60 to 80 a day for hotel room accommodation, meals another $25 - 30 each. The Ibis Styles has a US$80 room rate. If you are allowed 5 star accommodation, then you can start to make a hole in your projected US$1,100 daily. The hotel I always use is in an area called Westlands, which is comparable to say Ikeja GRA in Lagos, with a good number of wazungu (oyibo) staying all around the area, so that gives you an idea. There are lots of malls and restaurants in the area where one can eat and hang out.

Your projected cost of transportation and feeding at more than US$3,300 for 5 days - my goodness, that's about 1.2 million naira you just budgeted there.

For moving around there's Uber (much better cars there than the clapped out and occasionally rickety Corollas we use here, and for inter-town transport, there's the train to Mombasa at $US10 economy class, and if you need to travel to Naivasha or Kisumu, that's about 2 and a half hours to 3 and a half hours driving distance respectively.

You haven't said whether your trip to Kenya will require you to travel round the whole country in five days by air, because that is the only way one can spend 1,000 USD a day. Even if one was going on safari, one wouldn't spend that much.
I don't think what I wrote indicated $1,100 per day for five days. Anyway, the destination has been changed. Now, the program is to be held in Kampala, and no longer Nairobi. From my search on the internet, it seems Uganda is more expensive. It also looks like there is no direct flight from here to Kampala. I think the best option for me even to Uganda is still Kenya airways. Ethiopia airways layover in Addis Ababa is longer than Kenya airways layover in Nairobi, hence Kenya airways looks better.

As a Nigerian you have two options either you apply for the visa prior to your emberkation or you get it on arrival in Kampala for 50USD.

As for your itinerary l think Ethiopia, Rwanda or Kenya airways is your best best make sure you have some BTA with you atleast 500USD, Bon voyage.
Hello!

I know that Uganda has e-visa, but I would like to ask if they still have the visa on arrival policy.

Hi all,

I made a trip to Kenya few days back went to a lot of places Nairobi, Msai, Maba village, etc. I went with my wife, took a lot of pics. Want to share some with you guys.

pix 1: Waiting at the Nnamdi Azikwe Airport Abuja
2: on board (Ethiopian Airline)
3: At the Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi. I met a Kenya guy who said he like Jim Iyke and Genevieve, he demanded for cash from me, i gave him N500
4: at the hotel room, its very cold in Kenya compared to Nigeria, temperature is about 20 C, you can hardly find AC in their hotel rooms

Most business in Kenya depend on power (electricity) from the government (PHCN), they hardly interrupt their power compared to Nigeria. they dont use generators, they worst you can see is Inverter
Hi

Thanks for this interesting post. I want to ask for advice from you with regard to cost of traveling to Kenya.

My company will be sending me to Kenya on a five days trip. I was asked to submit a written request of the amount I would be needing for the trip.

I projected $5500 as the amount that will be required for the trip. Here is the rough breakdown of my budget:

Return ticket $ 1500

Hotel for five nights $ 650

Other things such as cost
of transportation, feeding,
etc. . $ 3350

I decided to ask you for advice since you have been there and you know how the place is. Hope this budget is okay, and will not look too high if I submit to the company? Thanks
